Kyler had been sleeping in his office and did not have to go home to his own penthouse. He only instructed Carmi to bring him change of clothes every other day for him to use.

As his company has just started and many things were needed to be done, he was exhausted beyond any means.

As much as he liked to unwind and have a good time, he could not as he was swamped with everyday meeting and unending paper works on his desk. He also had a handful line up of business meetings outside the company and it made him more exhausted.

He sat on his chair and began to ma.s.sage his temples for an immediate relief. He closed his eyes for a moment but then, Carmi knocked on his door.

"Come in."

Carmi walked in with a paper bag on her slender hands.

"Sir, your things are all here." as she placed down the paper bag on the table and waited on the side for further instructions.

Kyler looked at her.

He looked at the woman across him from head to foot.

Carmi became his secretary when he was still in country X and he brought her here along with him and his personal team.

The woman already knew the temperament her boss had.

Kyler studied her profile closely.

Carmi is a five feet and six inches. She had a curly hair and she put on a nerdy gla.s.ses before her green orbs.

When Kyler noticed the peculiarity of her eyes, he was taken aback. He could not take off his gaze towards her beautiful eyes but he was pulled out of his trance when he noticed that Carmi had been biting her lower lip.

She had that full lips but she had a small face thus it added to her own charm.

Carmi on the other hand did not know where to look when she met the black orbs that had been staring at her intently.

She looked like a cute doll.

Then he stared intently at those plump lips. He doesn't know why but he wanted to taste those lips and when he noticed what he had done, his lips already found it's place on top of her lip.

Carmi became petrified and stood rooted to the spot. She did not know why her boss suddenly wanted to eat her up.

In how many years of working under him, she understood her position, it was close to invisibility and his boss did not look even once in his employees eyes.

She did not even know if her boss knew her name and her position but under these kind of circ.u.mstances, her IQ of 180 became null.

She did not know why her boss had really done such kind of thing and she's scared. She's a 30 year old virgin who does not know the ways of pleasure.

Kyler smiled after he tasted her lips. To him, it was quite sweet but he did not know why he did that. Maybe, it was clearly out of impulse.

As his eyes were still closed, he did not notice Carmi's crying.

She had been scared by his actions and she did not know why her boss did kiss her as she was not pretty. He was a handsome man though she knew that he had undergone a plastic surgery to alter his image. As to what reason, she did not know.

When Kyler opened his eyes, he was captured by Carmi's crying face. It tugged his heart painfully and he felt suffocated. He suddenly felt at loss.

"I...." he was about to say sorry but Carmi bolted out from his office before he could continue. He slumped back to his chair pondering his actions earlier.

As he was lost in thoughts, he placed his finger in his lips and a faint smile appeared on his face before he realized it.

Carmi rushed out from the building and found a bench to sit on in a corner while crying her heart out. She did not know why but she felt pain because Kyler did that to her. She did not know why because all of her life, she believed that she's ugly as other people often said that to her.

Her self-confidence were shattered and even her childhood friend said so. She believed that having those green eyes were not great and that it was a curse.

If not, she did not know how to explain why she had lost her parents in an early age and her relatives had been calling her a curse and sometimes, she was called by them a witch.

That's why, she grew up believing that she's ugly and did not have any charm.

How many hours pa.s.sed by and she did not want to return to her office and cater her boss request. She wanted to resign but she erased the thought because she has to save money to get her younger brother out from the organization's grasp and led him a normal life.
