The Real Monster 27 Having The Demon Emperor As Neighbor I

CHAPTER 1 – PART ONE

It's already been quite some time since I revealed my plan to actually go ahead and conquer the world.

Why? Because I can do it and because I don't want to be a total hypocrite saying 'I will fight for justice' or 'protect humanity' even when the G.o.d that represents humanity is using his own people for fun and entertainment, heck, I would want to pay a visit to that realm again and give him a proper beating once I grow powerful enough.

Although it might sound impossible and possibly be impossible, I will not rest until I get one over that Safir.

Yeah, that G.o.d's name is Safir. I know you forgot about his name… yes you.

Anyway, how long has it been? It's been one year and eight months since we started training.

I had to leave the city which I told them to call Village just for the fun of it, but those guys take my words as if from G.o.d and did name the city as such.

I wonder what the h.e.l.l they are thinking when they agreed to that. The only one who disagreed was Isaac.

But even then, he could not win over the other three.

I might start calling them the Three Idiots from now on.

So yeah, I left the city for my own personal training while going around in the demon world. I eagerly want to try taking on that frog called Agamemkeru which embarra.s.sed me and well, almost killed me a few years back when I just got here.

Having that record as a blemish sure is a very frustrating thought. Not frustrating that I almost got killed by a frog, well that too is frustrating now that I think about it, but more of frustrating because I thought the same as some of the novel MCs I have read about, drunk in their own power and their arrogance leveled up along their power as well becoming complacent, before getting their a.s.ses handed to them by someone strong and they grow like beards – annoyingly – to the point of defeating those that defeated them.

The thing is my case did not happen like that, I did get my head bloated in thinking I was plenty strong already compared to other humans and 'normal' monsters, but I did not get my a.s.s handed to me, no, I got my a.s.s blown into nothingness by one shot of the that frog practices.

So no, it's not the same. Heroes in those stories grow stronger after getting bruised and humiliated, me, I got killed. If not for a gamble, I'd have lost my life. That's one mistake you would never want to make if you were thinking humbly.

So I make it a practice now to always check the strength of people I face or even beasts and monsters since they just might kill me in one blow if I p.i.s.s them off.

I'm travelling the demon realm to train. Of course, I hunt for strong opponents that can make me sweat – even though I don't sweat – while exhilaratingly fighting.

Of course I'm actually looking forward to meeting that frog Agamemkeru and having a rematch one of these days.

I left those four guys to train in flying by developing the technique first. I gave them a concept of how to do it using Gohan's method of teaching Videl in DB and they easily adapted it.

I saw their progress for a time before finally telling them to wear ten rings from then on and use that to once again run around the place. That was their routine.

Some may find that running doesn't really enhance strength or anything but let me tell you, Goku and Vegeta were into gravity training because it enhanced the overall strength of the body. Add to that the running for stamina and the dexterity to move the body skillfully to reduce the burden on the body it's like killing many birds with a boulder!

I also taught the alchemists the method to produce the pills which are to only be exclusively used by the family and those under me directly. It's a very potent medicine but it also is a very dangerous thing to be coveted by others. Human greed knows no bounds after all. I trust these people to keep it that way.

So yes, breaking apart their bodies with the gravity they bear then instantly healing those broken muscles results in new and improved muscle strands that can withstand even more load each day. They probably have already found this effect a long time ago so they are continually doing it even without me supervising. Aside from flight technique, I also taught them everyone's favorite turtle destruction wave technique.

The theory is simple enough to reproduce so I taught them how to do it. Even though I've never tried it myself because, you know, it's very embarra.s.sing.

Teaching them to gather their mana at both palms while showing them the stance and when they have gathered enough to form a ball of energy holding it tight, I told them to imagine releasing that energy outwards through that ball of energy they are holding on to.

After countless failures and trials, I finally gave up supervising them and instead tried it for myself. I had to find out what they were doing wrong so I had to try it.

So I gathered a bit of energy at the center of both my palm and concentrated at the image I had in my head, then abruptly threw my arms outwards towards the sky's direction with the image of releasing all of the gathered energy.

*vwoosh*

A single column of thick light flew towards the sky as I felt energy leave my body and slowly dissipate as I did not channel anymore energy into it. It was a success! I actually did it, so from that point on I told them how I felt and the experience of being able to do it.

With that as the impetus, those guys got even more excited about the attack than the flight technique. I also told them to modify it and use their respective affinities to enhance its effects also reminding them about the energy consumption of the technique. Before mastering how to use it with less energy with the same output as that, I told them not to use it in battle which only served to give them even more motivation.

The problem was Isaac. He had a very strong ice affinity which was not part of the eight basic affinities. It's actually a combination of heat manipulation and water affinity but he has no control over the upwards scale of the heat instead it keeps itself on subzero in normal circ.u.mstances.

So firing a single wave would actually freeze the air around the wave he shoots out, while the wave itself would also take on a material form because of the ice.

Power-wise, it's great, but utility in group battle – it's ill-advisable.

Aside from the four, the men of their families including children age 5 and above were trained. I especially made rune-rings for the little ones. They will be handled by Mor so I feel they should be in good hands.

What's my training menu then, you ask? It's staying at the exosphere of Alleucanth, crazy right?

Actually I only do it in the morning to afternoon and then go back down to hunt for the nocturnal beasts or demon beasts that prowl in the night. I say hunt but I usually don't kill them. I just fight them.

I have resolved myself to not kill when not necessary and practicing it would be very hard later on when the killing starts but I have to try my best to do it, or else, I might get devoured by the friendliness and coziness of darkness.

Just earlier I was up in the skies spreading my arms and feeling the sun's nourishment of my body. At first I was unable to maintain my flight alt.i.tude because of the weight of my body but as if it was also a muscle, my flight strength increased steadily while I also increased in alt.i.tude. My accessories are already complete at the moment. I wore the choker, the necklace, the earrings, the rings, the bangles, the arm bands, the belt, and even the anklets. I stopped calculating for each and just let it rip.

At first I could not even float an inch. However, I steadily kept on pus.h.i.+ng myself and finally started to float higher each pa.s.sing day.

When I first wore all of the accessories and activated their minimum gravity, my hands were the first to give way and separated from my arm. It was going to turn to mist as it started to distort as if liquid, when I saw it, however, with some quick thinking I removed some of the rings and it gradually found a balance then I attached it to my arms again.

It sure is great knowing how to manipulated objects from afar with just your mind right? Mana and imagination works like a charm. Even without hands I can work some intricate designs. How awesome is that right?

So then by now, I have already gotten used to even more than I have been able to since waking up.

There's another thing that I found very odd. [Demonic] That's how my stats are rated at the moment, but I was confused because demons here, ordinary ones simply would have been destroyed by a slap from me. How can my strength be compared to them, and I'm not even being arrogant by saying this.

I found out that it wasn't demonic like the demons of this place. It was demonic as in fallen angel kind of demonic on earth. There is much lore about demons on earth and each would tell of a supernatural ent.i.ty that has power so great and diverse that it cannot be fathomed. However, the most prominent of the tales is of the one true G.o.d's creations – the angels – which rebelled against him and were banished out of heaven becoming demons themselves to prowl over the surface of the earth and devour others.

So basically, they are angels that were banished and were weakened, but how weak can an angel be when weakened?

So I reckon that this [Demonic] valuation is of an angel's strength when weakened to such a degree. This means that the next rating would be Angelic for sure. However, even with this much improvement, I have not seen any changes in my valuation of the four stats.

So in my frustration, I took to the skies even more and chased after a change in the valuation but even until now, it stayed as demonic which makes me very frustrated

Oh and this is talking about me having my accessories by the way. So that means I totally grew so much with just one year and eight months of absorbing sunlight and having gravity bands.

*rustle rustle* *leap*

When my feet touched the ground I was immediately attacked by something. I can see it clearly but it's hard to describe it. Currently I'm in a clearing inside a forest with tree trunk the size of a normal house in width.

It surely would take at least twenty people to fully encircle them while holding hands.

The vines that they harmoniously hand on themselves are as thick children's arms. Just how fertile is the soil here to develop that kind of tree and into a forest no less!

The clearing was full of gra.s.s that stood at almost the same height as me at 6 feet 2 inches. So if you're not tall enough you'd not be able to see anything at all in your surroundings, which was how the creature successfully attacked me confidently, probably.

What greeted me as soon as I landed was a maw right in front of my face so I had to react just as fast as I received it. I smacked it on its neck and a great cracking sound resounded while the gra.s.s that surrounded the clearing was bent away from the center which was the creature. It was dark so I could not clearly discern what it was until I smacked it down and stopped it from moving.

It was actually a panther-like creature that had a horn on its head with a single white strip on its tail.

I don't know its name but I can't help but feel that this creature is intelligent.

"You had the cleverness to actually wait for your prey to actually land before attacking. You must have seen me from up above and planned to kill me to eat. A good thing I have better reflexes than you. I talked to the panther-like creature and gave it a little comfort.

"Cheer up. I won't kill you, but if you attack me again later I will not show mercy anymore got it?" I also gave it a fair warning. This should be enough for that right?

I left the panther-like creature to recuperate on its own. It might get preyed on by other predators but that is not my problem anymore.

I started walking yet again to explore the great forest. The gra.s.s in that clearing I just left had been parted right at the middle with the creature as the center. After a few steps forward, another surprise attack happened and this time, it was from above me.

It was a bird that looked like a chicken but with sharper claws and shorter beak. It had a red beard, if I can call that a beard. While it's wings could probably span for ten to fifteen meters. So if you're wondering if this is big, then let me a.s.sure you – it is big!

I really want to fight it and see how strong it is. Shall we?
