Clay was setting himself up for a fight. The octopus was also visibly arming itself. It did so by seemingly surfacing all its tentacles. The Red Death was ready for a fight, it got serious right from the start and may even unleash everything it got at the first clash.
Clay tried to use his Overpower skill on it but decided against it in the end since that would be a boring fight. He hadn't gotten any exercise since the conquest of the human empire was ongoing and his sparring partners were busy with their tasks. He wanted to stretch his legs a bit. But fighting with a monster was also not the optimal solution to his desire for exercise. So again, he's hesitating whether he should go all out or just barely try to at least make the fight look epic.
In the end, he decided against taking his time. It wasn't respectful for the monster to not respond with everything he's got when it came and faced him without a shred of holding back.
"Alright, you get what you want. I'll give it to you." Clay had a monologue since the monster couldn't talk.
At the onset of the fight, Clay flew towards the Red Death. Looking at them from far away, they'd look as a dot and a big ball. Clay released his mana in a way that really showcased every bit of it. The lake water was pushed back and even the bottom of it could be seen with Clay as the center. Even the water that the Octopus were in was pushed back. The water churned and tossed and burst, while the ground beneath them cracked and earthquakes erupted as if the whole world's crust was being shaken by this humongous amount of mana being release all at once.
Creatures in a thousand miles radius could feel that mana being released by Clay and everything inside that radius were either gasping for breath or already fainted and suffering to even get up. This was totally different from Overpower, by which, people affected by it would either faint of die immediately. Releasing mana was like that of how Kaiser did it during the fight with Clay. However, now that Clay was the one who did it, even Kaiser was on his knees trying to resist it with his own mana release. The same goes for everyone. And this mana release was almost instantaneous.
The mana release that Clay did only lasted for 10 seconds, and it shook the world. Even creatures in different continents also felt that energy. In a way, Clay was already announcing that there is a powerhouse in this continent.
The Red Death had already started to tremble in fear as it drew back, deeper and deeper into the lake. It now knew that it made a mistake of coming out and trying to challenge this deceitful man. Trying to look as if a sheep. A wolf in sheep's clothing. If it had a mouth to speak it would have cursed him to the very core of its being, "Why you do this man? Why you bait inferiors into digging their own graves, this is injustice!" Too bad it could not.
Clay stopped releasing his magic energy and started to get ready to send the strongest punch he could towards the Red Death that was now 5 miles down the lake. From the looks of the earlier parting of the waters revealing its depth, it looked to be almost 20 to 25 miles deep. Two times and some change more than the modern explored ocean depth on earth. And the Red Death was merely a dot in the lake that it inhabits.
"Lord Clay."
About to punch, Clay heard a call for his name. It was not a shout, nor a desperate shout but one of despair and longing. Immediately he punched out and his fist collided with the fleeing Red Death. He did not even dally to see what the result of his punch was. He immediately flew into the skies and hovered in the exosphere. The sun's bright rays furthered his strength but not enough to take him to the next level. He only stayed for a few seconds after listening for the exact location of that voice. He listened carefully again. Closing his eyes, he could engulf the world with just his sense of hearing. Information kept flowing through his head, then he pinpointed the call for him. It was one of the residents of the Village. A little girl who prayed in front of the statue that the city had in a square fountain. She wasn't crying but just praying. She did not utter any other words but only his name. She called again and again, "Lord Clay."
Touched by this, Clay opened his eyes and directly looked towards the place where the child was. And there, he saw, millions of troops converging and surrounding the Village. Although the village should be fine because of the Elementalists and the s.p.a.ce mages he left there continuously practicing the This scene made Clay frown his brows. What were these human lords thinking? Are they so eager to lose their lives in a losing war instead of just handing over authority to me, to rule overall? Clay did not notice that his face was already looking mad, like Asura. And he did not realize that his current position and posture was that of Superman's when he listens in to people that need him. He bent his knees outwards towards the s.p.a.ce and his head was aiming towards the Village. He already remembers where Regulus' home was, so he can come back later. What he needed to do now was to come back and really become serious in dealing with the arrogant, prideful humans. This has to end now. "You have done something you should not have. Scaring little children that lives happily in my domain, stealing their precious smiles? You want a monster? I'll give you a monster!" So, Clay propelled himself towards the Village and arrived there immediately like a meteor that accelerated in the atmosphere. When he landed, the earth visibly made waves as if it were liquid. This feat of strength was nowhere near Clay holding back, no he wasn't. He was mad. With stomp from his feet, the earth was shaking, literally. And the mult.i.tudes were either tossed up or slammed down by the movement of the earth. Clay moved to destroy the encirclement. When he emerged from the dust that settled after his descent, Clay directly used Overpower and released his killing intent like it was no one's business. People directly surrounding him all fell and had heart attacks and died with foam on their mouth. In his anger, he rescinded any form of holding back. He cannot risk being an emperor who cannot even defend his domain in the truest sense. Now, the kingdoms that rebelled will know the reality of what they took as if a joke. They were given a chance to declare their allegiance to Clay by the show of power to some and the mercy to some, however, those that did not believe that Clay was more powerful than his retainers were horribly and mistakably made the worst possible choice they could make. The soldiers were all wearing different patterns for their armor and their sigils. And out of each sigil, Clay left a group of three to four people alive, his purpose being that they will become his informant. The rest, well, there needs no explanation as to what happens to them. The wake of death and the silence that followed their encirclement. It all was as if a dream that they were surrounded by millions upon millions of troops to siege them and destroy their lives, but in but a blink of an eye, a single breath, everyone who opposed Clay became fertilizer to the ground. The world turned silent. The only sounds left were the crying of the wind, the laughter of the earth and the sound of the souls of the dead. Clay stood in front of the city gates and looked towards the arch overlooking the gates. He read the words that introduced the city. 'The Village' was written on it. It was a proud name that bore with it the hopes and aspirations of Clay to make for himself a place to belong. His wife and child also resided at the top of Moribor Mountain. It was not somewhere just anyone could come up to. Finally, after a few minutes of staring the arch, he moved inside the City. No one knew what he really looked like, so he just entered casually. At the entrance, he was stopped by guards. They asked him for his identification. He just told them, "I'm Clay. Lord of this city." The guards would have laughed at him if they were undisciplined, however, they were taught that whoever uses the name of their Lord and falsifies his ident.i.ty, will be punished up to their fourth generation of descendants. So, they could imagine the courage of someone who does that. And the scariest thing of all that is if they laughed at the Lord that they love and respect because he tried to enter the city without an ID. "Please come in. Let someone come with you and escort you Lord." Said the guard on the right. Clay had accepted his invitation and directly went to the city square where that little child had prayed at. He listened closely for the girl's voice and found her still at the same spot. He then talked to the girl and told her, "Thank you for calling out to me little miss. If not for you, my people would have suffered. I am grateful." The little child was holding her cheeks and fidgeting for the fact that she was praised by Lord Clay. After patting the child's head Clay disappeared and flew towards...o...b..t. He was still p.i.s.sed at the fact that they would break things that have been agreed upon already. It really was true that not everything goes according to plan. Clay prepped himself up and saw to it that he would make those that plotted this pay. So he went down after calming down and interrogated the numerous groups of 4 who Clay left for questioning. "What kingdom do you come from?!" Clay took one soldier whose insignia was the deer that had horns so majestic that it would pierce the heavens and a s.h.i.+eld behind it. "We are from the house of Geferson. Our lord was hurt with the show of strength by your place. We will kill as many men and **** and kill many more women here!" This man was delusional, he couldn't accept the reality that everything had already been swallowed by the demon interrogating him. "You're making me even more angry. Your information is useless, so I'll just kill you." Clay showed a rather peaceful look and put the man down in front of him. He smiled and let the man go. Right after, he shot him with a heat vision to his head. His brain matter was literally fried inside his skull and the smell of it would make you want to eat. A great appetizing smell it was. Seeing this, the rest of the four, now three, scrambled towards Clay and kneeled or kowtowed in front of him some even wanted to kiss his feet. All because they wanted to live. They were arrogant when there were many of them, but cut up most of them and they will submit as if there's no surrender. I need more information from them. This may take some more time.
