Chapter 588: Even Death Would Be A Luxury
Si Mobai’s hand paused for a moment, then returned to nonchalantly tidying Feng Tianlan’s hair. He said, “As someone in the Xuantian Continent was looking for this person called Yunyi, and they had similar contours and a red zhusha between their brows, so they took her to be the one.”
Feng Tianlan looked at Gu Yun, who was still kneeling on the ground. Her face’s contours were similar to that woman in her dreams, and they both had a zhusha on their forehead. As Si Mobai and Pang Tai said, she was the one that the Xuantian Continent was looking for.
“And so she pretended to be Yunyi?”
Si Mobai hummed in agreement. No matter what, an imposter would always remain as an imposter. They could never become the real thing.
Feng Tianlan stared at Gu Yun asking, “Who is she then?”

Si Mobai retracted his Spiritual Force and picked up Feng Tianlan’s hand, intertwining their fingers. He let her grasp his hand tightly, and did not even flinch when her fingernails dug into his palm. “Bring her in.”
How dare that woman try to aggravate Lan’er with the deceased Gu Nansheng! He must make her suffer a fate worse than death!
Feng Tianlan bit down hard on her lips, her orbs of eyes glaring at a Gu Yun with red, swollen cheeks. The hatred in her heart could engulf the heavens. If not for her, Nansheng wouldn’t have died!
“Don’t let her die too easily. Make her feel that even death would be a relief.” Si Mobai rubbed his face against Feng Tianlan’s cheek and a.s.sured her in his gentlest tone. It soothed the murderous anguish that was brewing within her.
Feng Tianlan looked downwards, hiding her eyes. She slowly s.h.i.+fted her gaze away from Gu Yun and nestled into Si Mobai’s chest, nodding quietly.
That’s right. Killing Gu Yun now would be too easy for her.
Everything that Nansheng suffered, she would pay back unto Gu Yun, piece by piece!
All Gu Yun could feel was a fiery pain searing her cheeks, due to Si Mobai’s excellent slaps. While they caused her extreme pain, they stopped right before her skin went numb. She looked up in dizziness, only to see them tucked in each other’s embrace, ever-loving and sickeningly sweet. The more she looked at them, the bigger the flames burned in her heart.
The hatred she held against Feng Tianlan deepened even more!
Why was it that even after such great sacrifices she still could not kill Feng Tianlan? Not just that — even the WarG.o.d, who had disappeared for almost six months, had returned to her side.
No matter what glares Gu Yun threw at them, Si Mobai never looked at her. All he did was to speak softly with Feng Tianlan and help her tuck her hair. Once he was done with her hair, he tied it up gently with a hair tie.
Several moments later, Azurite came up to them with a lightly flavored bird’s nest congee. She put it on the side.
“Have something to eat. Only when you’re full and recovered can we continue onwards,” Si Mobai said dotingly as he scooped a spoonful of congee and put it by her lips.
Feng Tianlan parted her lips and swallowed the congee. She still needed to avenge Nansheng and to seek revenge on Shen Yunya and the rest.
Gu Yun watched as those two fed each other without minding anyone’s gaze. Her eyes could almost spit the fires of hatred, “Shameless…”
Before she could finish speaking, her two cheeks were again slapped harshly by that invisible hand. Blood dripped from the corner of her mouth. She raised her head and looked at Si Mobai, who was still wholly focused on feeding Feng Tianlan congee, as if he was not the one who slapped her.
How could he be so cruel towards her?!
“I didn’t allow you to speak, so keep your mouth shut!” Especially if you’re going to badmouth Lan’er!
Right then, his subordinate brought a person forward, saying, “His Highness, we’ve brought her.”
