"Will you not be my girlfriend?". I tilted my head up to make sure I heard him correctly. "Will you not be my girlfriend until I've proven that I will not play with your heart... Until I've proven to be worth your love. I promise not to ask you to be my girlfriend until you are ready". He took a long deep breath and pulled me to his chest.

That was the sweetest thing I've ever heard! I smiled and placed my lips on him. Nipping his lower lips and he kissed back as if our whole life depends on the kiss. I pulled out slowly and lay my head on his shoulder. Feeling secure in his arms. And at the same time scared, my fears have nothing to do with him breaking my heart but everything to do with me! The fact that even if I accept his proposal we'd still hurt each other unknowingly... Of which I am accustomed to... It has been a part of me, rejecting relations.h.i.+ps because they are delusional. With the thought that we still have each other without having to be entangled by the word "boyfriend or girlfriend ". But it is surely going to hurt having to imagine Steve all wrapped up like we are now with another girl.
