Charlie looked at Dolly. She smiled at him and nodded. She was happy that everyone in her family accepted Charlie as a family member.

"That's good. Now, that is final. Charlie, you have to call us as Dolly calls." Mrs Smith, who was observing them from her chair said.

   Charlie smiled. He was also happy. Although he was married to Dolly but was feeling uneasy about the relations.h.i.+p. John was his boss. So, he always felt distant from Dolly's family members. Dolly told him so many times to accept them as his own family members, but he had some hesitations. 

"Ok.Grandma.As you all wish. I will call everyone as Dolly calls you."

"That's good.  You are an employee of Smith Enterprise. That is your profession. Never mix professional life with your personal life.  You are now a member of the Smith family. So you have to think this family like your own. Understand?" John asked.

"Ok.Bro."Charlie replied. John smiled in satisfaction.

" Now come here and help me.  Check these books thoroughly."

              John handed Charlie some books to check. Zinu and Dolly too joined them. It is almost two hours since they had been checking the books. They checked all the books but got nothing. Mrs Smith was not feeling well. So she left the room long ago. She entered the room again after taking some rest.

"I think at least we should have an idea, what are we looking for. We even don't know what type of map is that!" Zinu said with frustration.

            Among all the belongings of Oliver Smith, they already searched for everything. But they could not get anything. There was an old chest there, on which some valuable things were kept. But there also they got nothing.

"Yes. I am too tired." Dolly sat on a chair and said.

"I told you. I have been searching all these again and again, but got nothing." Mrs Smith said unhappily.

            She thought that they may get something there related to the map so that the wish of her husband could be fulfilled. But they too failed.

"Grandma, can I borrow these diaries?"John asked her.

"Yes, you can. But I don't think you will get anything on that."Mrs Smith replied.

" I want to try."

"Ok." Mrs Smith got up from the chair to left the room.

"Grandma, did grandpa gave you anything special? Or did he ever said you, to keep something carefully? Or any gift he gave you before his death?" Zinu asked suddenly.

           Mrs Smith lost in thought. After almost five minutes she replied."Yes. He gave me so many gifts. But three of the gifts were very special. In the wedding night, he gifted me a diamond necklace, which was auctioned in the royal palace hotel, which was very expensive. I don't know where he got money for that. Next year he gifted me a rare pink diamond ring. And near about three months before his death, he gave me this pendant."Mrs Smith showed the pendant, on her neck.

"Grandma, can I have a look at the pendant? It is really beautiful."

"Sure. Take this. Oliver gave it to me and said that I should keep it safely. It is a valuable pendant."

"Really? He loved you very much. This pendant is really beautiful." Zinu took the pendant carefully and observed it.

             It looked like an ordinary pendant. She could not understand what is valuable here?

"Grandma, would you mind if I keep it with me tonight. I want to study it." Zinu asked Mrs Smith.

"If you like, you can keep it with you.  Now I am old. I don't need any jewellery. I only kept it with me in the memory of Oliver."

"No,grandma.you should keep it with you. It is the last gift from grandpa." Zinu protested.

"Ok.As you wish.  Now I am going to my room. I am tired. You all listen carefully. You should not give up. I am old now. I can not work hard. So I gave up. But you four must find the map anyhow. If I die someday,  always remember that, your father, as well as your grandfather, had lost their lives for this map. So, you must find the map and also the fortune which they left for you. Don't let anyone s.n.a.t.c.h your fortune. For the map, you can check anything in this room. You need not take my permission for that."Mrs Smith added.

      Lucas is not an easygoing person. He is a murderer. He has an eye on your fortune. So, you should never let him be successful in his schemes." said Mrs Smith.

"Grandma, you don't worry. we will find out a way to stop Lucas to do more schemes. And also we will find out the map as soon as possible. " John said. 

   Mrs Smith nodded and left. 

"Bro, we too have to go now. Today mom invited us for dinner. " Charlie said, John. 

"Ok. Will aunt s.h.i.+ft to your house? "

"No. I requested her. But she doesn't want to leave our ancestral house."

"Ok. Let her do as she wishes. She had her memories with that house. Convey my good wishes to her. "John replied.

Charlie nodded.

"Zinu, you try to find out some clues. If you got anything, please call me. " Dolly said Zinu. 

"Ok."

           After Dolly and Charlie left, Zinu and John entered their bedroom and opened the diaries to study these. There were a total of three diaries. The diaries were not written on a regular basis. Only some important events were noted. John and Zinu took one diary each and studied it thoroughly. It was almost midnight, but they could not find anything important in it.

"Hubby, we should sleep now. We will continue tomorrow."

"Yes. It's late already. Let's sleep."

          After a few hours, Zinu woke up suddenly by a loud bang on the door of their room. She startled by the soubd and jumped out from her bed. She looked at the wall clock. It's quarter to three.
