"Yes. That should be." Zinu replied with a yawn.

 They both started their investigation after coming from the office. John directly went to the hospital. He will stay there. Mrs Smith regained her consciousness. The doctors will do her surgery the next day. He needed to be present there to support her mentally.

 Charlie told Dolly to wait for him in Smith manor, as he will come to fetch her after finis.h.i.+ng his work in the office

"Zinu, you are tired. In fact, I am also tired. I think today we should keep it aside and take rest. Tomorrow we have to visit grandma in the hospital. Whenever we get time, we will again start this. Charlie will be coming anytime soon. Let us go."

"Yes. I am very tired. I need my bed now. Let us go."Zinu replied.

  They both kept the painting aside and left the room. Dolly left the manor as Charlie was waiting for her on the downstairs.

 Next day everyone reached the hospital early in the morning. When they reached the hospital, Mrs Smith was already taken to the operation theatre. The doctors informed them that, the surgery will take a long time. Everybody was sitting there tensed. Although Mrs Smith has regained her consciousness yesterday and other test reports were also normal, but they all worried about her. It will be major surgery and also risky, due to the age.

 Everyone waited outside of the operation theatre for almost seven hours. When John saw a doctor came out of the operation theatre, John got up and hurriedly went near him.

"The operation is successful. We hope she would gain her consciousness very soon." He announced.

Everyone was happy to hear his news. They sighed in relief. 

"Now everyone goes home and take rest. Today I will stay here. " Alicia announced. 

"No mom. You go home. I will stay. " John said. 

"No, John. You have already stayed here for two days. You too need some rest. Zinu too needs you. You should give some time to your family also. I can stay here. Now you all go, have dinner and take rest. I will have my dinner here in the canteen." Alicia said in a louder voice. 

"Ok." They said and left.

  John also knew that he needs some rest. He was working for a few days without any break. He was very busy these days. He even could not speak properly with Ronnie and Zinu. Ronnie was very excited to tell him about his movie.

  Ronnie's movie 'Ash' will be released on next week. He was eagerly waiting for the release. His examinations also will be started within two days. So, he was busy with his studies. When everyone was in the hospital, he was at home doing his a.s.signments.

  When John and Zinu returned, Ronnie was waiting for then in the drawing-room. When he saw his father, he ran towards him and hugged.

"Dad, I missed you."

John smiled and picked him up.

"Me too.dear.How are your studies going on? Are you ready for your annual examination?"John asked.

" Yes, dad. I have almost done with my studies. Only a few chapters have left, which I will complete by tomorrow. How is granny? Can she speak now? I want to speak to her. She did not speak to me when I visited her last time."

"Her surgery is successful. So, she will be fine. You can speak to her when you will visit her next time. That's good. Now you go yo your room and study well. Today we will have our dinner together.Ok."

"Ok.Dad." Ronnie replied happily. He loves to eat with everyone, but as he had to stay away from home for a few days and also for Mrs Smith was hospitalized, he could not eat with others.

  John and Zinu reached their bedroom. They need a shower after spending the long day in the hospital.

"Hubby you go first. I will take my shower after you." Zinu said.

"Do you think, today I will let you go?" John asked with a wink.

"What do you mean?" Zinu asked with a silly look.

 She understood John's signal but doesn't want to let him know. John gave her an evil smile.

"What I mean that..."

 He suddenly held her and picked her up and entered the bathroom. Zinu was not ready for this. She stunned with his action.

"What are you doing? At least let me change my clothes."

"Wifey, don't worry. I am expert in this work." John replied.

 He kept her under the shower and switched on it. In no time, they both drenched in the water. Zinu looked at John. He was looking so tempting to her. She suddenly held his head and pulled him towards her and started nibbling on his lower lips. She did it slowly, enjoying every moment. After a minute, she took John's upper lip and pa.s.sionately sucking it. 

  Although John was already on, he was not ready for this attack. He looked at her with wide eyes. It took two seconds to realize what is happening. Within three seconds he too joined her in getting the taste of cherry red lips. He enjoyed immensely her violent kiss. John helped her to change her dress and headed to the bathtub to enjoy each other.

 When it was dinner time they reached the dining room. Ronnie was already there waiting for them. They had their dinner together and left the dining room.

 Next day both John and Zinu reached the hospital in the morning. Mrs Smith regained her senses. She was s.h.i.+fted to the VVIP cabin of the hospital. The cabin was more like home, to give the patient, homely feeling. Mrs Smith was sleeping. When they entered the room, she opened her eyes.

"John and Zinu, have you come? How are you two dear?"Mrs Smith asked in a low voice. The effect of anaesthesia had not left her yet.

" We are fine. Are you feeling pain somewhere?" Zinu asked holding her hands.

"No, dear. I am not feeling any pain, but a little dizzy. How is my great-grandchild? I missed him."

"He is good. He had to go to school, so could not visit you now. He will come here by evening." John replied.

"It's ok. That poor kid is so busy."Mrs Smith said in a sad tone.

  Everyone looked at the door as they heard a knock. It was Mr Calvin Wilson and Sofia.

" Mom, dad!"Zinu uttered in a surprised tone.

 She did not get time to call them for a few days. She even forgot to inform them about Mrs Smith's illness.

"How are you now? I am sorry for coming late. n.o.body informed me about you. Otherwise, I would have come earlier."Sofia said.

 Zinu bit her tongue. She knew her mother will give her a good scolding.

"It's ok, Sofia. They may have forgotten about it. Let it go. How are you?"

"We are doing good. Thank you."

 They all talked for some time. A doctor came to check Mrs Smith. He checked her and left. John followed the doctor and asked about her.

"Her condition is better than we expected. She has a strong will power. It will help her in speedy recovery. If everything goes right, she would go home after four days."

"Ok.Thank you, doctor."

 The doctor nodded and left. John sighed in relief. He again entered the cabin.

"John, you and all others had done a lot for me. Now you should go to your office. It is not good to take so many leaves." Mrs Smith said.

"What are you saying? How can we leave you like this? Our works are not more important than you."Zinu said.

" Try to understand. I know how important your work is."Mrs Smith replied.

"Yes, Zinu you two can go to your office. I and your father will stay here today." Sofia said.

"But....." John tried to say something but stopped by Mr Wilson.

"John, We are here to stay today. You don't worry. We can manage it."

"Ok.Then." John said and left for office with Zinu.

 They sent Alicia home when they came to the hospital. Dolly and Charlie too visited her before going to the office.

 After reaching the office, John busied himself in meeting with different managers. He had to go to the base with Charlie, so they scheduled all their meetings before lunch.
