Loving A STRANGER 102 Chapter 102: Kidnapped Five Years Ago

"Let's have single photos first," Mike demanded. He started with the famous actors and actresses first, hoping Kylie would learn from them. Kylie stood at the corner and studied how they were posing. The theme was determination, and if anyone knew about determination, it would be Kylie. She had experienced so much in her life, so she just needed to be herself during the shoot.

"Kylie Finch, you're next."

Kylie walked out with confidence even though her heart was hammering. No matter how many times she walked out on a stage or in front of a large crowd, she would never get over that initial stage fright. Taking a deep breath, Kylie loosened her body and turned towards Mike.

"Yes! That's it. Be confident!" Mike approved, even though he knew Kylie would not last. He decided he would not give her another chance if she screwed it up in the first few tries. His time was too precious to be wasted on people who knew jack s.h.i.+t about modeling. Really, he thought this was a joke when they first told him the model would be Kylie Finch, but apparently not. 

"Get ready! On three…" Mike shouted. 

Kylie squared her shoulders, leaned to one side and looked at the camera while flipping her hair. Then, she put another hand on her shoulder and bent down as if picking something up from the ground. While still bending, she looked at Mike, holding the camera and winked.

 When did Kylie Finch, the actress, turned into a supermodel.

She surprised everyone, including the famous actors and actresses who were all watching her intently. Inside Kylie's eyes, one could see a pa.s.sion and deep desire for a new life. Her strength and determination s.h.i.+ned through by the fierceness of her gaze. However, her overall stance was soft and feminine. She was like a sunrise, soft but powerful.

Everyone watching was shocked, including Mike. The woman in front of him was a completely different person! Where was the shy and timid girl who he was berating? Mike swallowed his surprise and continued capturing pictures, not wanting to miss even a single second.

What astonished him the most was that every time Kylie changed her position, she looked fantastic.

Meanwhile, Kylie had no clue what she was portraying to everyone watching. She was too focused on the shooting, and before she knew it, Mike motioned for her to stop. When she looked at her cell, Kylie was surprised to see that an hour had pa.s.sed already.

Faith ran over and hugged her tightly, "Oh my G.o.d, Kylie! You were so awesome!" She then leaned closer and whispered, "Everyone was so jealous of you! Look at their sour faces." Sure enough, Kylie saw the other model's side-eyeing her as she casually looked around at everyone. Mike was beaming, however, and that was the only opinion that mattered to Kylie. 

 After changing her clothes and removing the makeup, Kylie was back to being lazy as she usually was. The shoot had taken a lot out of her, and she only wanted to relax with a hot cup of tea in her room. Faith trotted inside with a box donuts making Kylie laugh.

"I thought you were on a diet?" Kylie scoffed.

"Well, today is a day of celebration," Faith answered while munching on a Krispy Kreme donut. "Oh, by the way, Aiden called a couple of times while you were shooting," Faith added nonchalantly.

 Kylie immediately grabbed her cell and looked at the missed calls.

"Aiden? Why would he be calling?" Kylie asked.

"Beats me," Faith shrugged her shoulders.

 As if on cue, Kylie's cell phone started ringing again, with Aiden being the caller. She looked up at Faith with wide eyes.

"Pick it up! Ask him what she wants. Remember what Mike said, be confident!" Faith preached.

 Kylie nodded and confidently picked up, "h.e.l.lo?"

"Kylie, it's me. Aiden."

"Yes, I know. What do you want?" Kylie retorted.

"Did you watch the news?" Aiden sounded a little hoa.r.s.e, and his voice seemed to be trembling.

"What news?" Kylie put the phone on speaker and motioned Faith to come closer. "About who?"

"…" Aiden kept silent for a while, "Do you know anything about what happened when I was kidnapped five years ago?"

"Oh, wait, let me guess. You probably think I kidnapped you!" Kylie sneered and burst out in sarcastic laughter. Kylie hung up her phone, chucking it at the side. 

 "Don't let him influence you. I'm not going to pick up his calls in the future." Faith told Kylie angrily. "Who the h.e.l.l does he think he is contacting you now after everything he did to you!"

"He can't influence me. He holds no importance to me." Kylie looked as if she did not care, but Faith could tell Aiden's phone call had disturbed her. After all, she did love him at one point, didn't she?

Faith knew that for Kylie, Aiden was not just her first love but also someone she loved deeply for almost five years. Even if she had Ethan Parker now, the past injury and rejection could not be easily healed. 

Faith reached over and grabbed Kylie in a hug, "Don't think about him anymore. You are capable of a much better life, one without Khloe, Aiden, and your father."

"I know." Kylie smiled and nodded.

When Faith left her room to go to sleep, Kylie grabbed her robe. She liked being cozy and comfortable when she was alone. However, when she was about to change, she heard a strange sound coming from outside her room. Kylie hurriedly b.u.t.toned up her jacket and picked up the ashtray on the bedside table. She had no doubt that Khloe was capable of sending someone after Kylie to attack her for revenge.

Kylie leaned against the wall and quietly waited to figure out what the noise could be. She was trying not to overthink, but she could not help but recall the similar situation she had been in a few years earlier.

She was helping out at a banquet Garcia Entertainment had hosted for their investors and clients. However, not too long into the banquet, she had felt unwell, so she ended up returning to her hotel room early. In the dead of night, when the banquet was over, one of their investors used a room card to try and enter her room.
