Loving A STRANGER 135 Chapter 135: Her Positive Though

Kylie posed gracefully in front of the crowd and did a twirl that showed off her dress. Speaking into the microphone, she said, "First of all, please take a look at the dress I'm wearing."

Hearing this statement, the host was confused as to what she meant. The dress that Kylie was wearing was ordinary because Kylie was the heroine in most movies. Most people probably expected her to be dressed better than she was, but the dress she was wearing looked no different from any old dress they might find at a local Sears Outlet or Wal-Mart.

Staring at Kylie, the host tried to think of an answer to this conundrum. Often international designs could take unexpected forms. In one instance, he had seen snakeskin pockets both on the inside of a skirt and on the outside as well. The host reckoned that perhaps the dress Kylie was wearing was some similar fas.h.i.+on statement that he was unfamiliar with.

The host offered Kylie a flattering smile and said, "Although the pattern of your dress looks simple, the workmans.h.i.+p appears to be really meticulous. I can only a.s.sume that this dress was the creation of some big-name brand or well-known creator."

Kylie returned the host's smile, then turned to one of the reporters and asked them if he had any different thoughts about the dress. The reporters looked at each other and shook their heads in silence. After a few moments, a reporter that was standing behind the crowd raised her hand and said, "I've seen it in a fas.h.i.+on magazine, but it seems that there are some differences. Is this a custom made dress?"

Kylie nodded and gave her a thumb up. "Actually," she said, "everyone has seen this dress. It is a summer dress, and it was on the cover of a fas.h.i.+on magazine. But..."

Grabbing a corner of her dress, Kylie tore it forcefully. It had been purposefully st.i.tched together in a casual manner so that she could tear it easily. Seeing this display, the reporters froze in astonishment. When they got over their astonishment, though, their collective cameras began to flash. To their surprise, beneath the dress she'd been wearing, there was a near-exact duplicate of the first. They can't guess what she was trying to figure out this time. 

The first dress was a close copy of the second, but most people could easily see the difference between the genuine dress and the copy. The real dress was exquisite in a way that the copy was not. Kylie held the copy in her hands and began to point out the differences between the two dresses.

Tossing the counterfeit to the ground, Kylie addressed the crowd. "How many of us are living counterfeit lives? Living in the judgment of most people who believe the lies posted on the social media platform," she wondered. "This new line is a call out for women to shed their old wardrobes, as a snake would shed its skin, and begin living authentic lives!"

What Kylie did and said, surprised everyone. They don't know that Kylie has this kind of deep thinking and a positive mindset. Feeling inspired, they began to clap until the sound of their applause could be heard from blocks away. Even the other actors that stood beside her clapped and smiled. The host was completely dumbfounded as she watched Kylie bow slightly and walked off of the stage.

Once she was gone, the place entered a chaotic state. Laurence's face darkened again as Faith and Lucas excitedly gave each other high-fives. The whole production had been streamed live on the internet, and, as the comments came in, small pockets of people cheered as they watched their phone. "Holy moly!" one woman shouted. "Kylie Finch is amazing! She is more than a woman. She is a G.o.ddess!"

"I originally went online to blacken her reputation," a short bald man replied, "but she has won me over to her side. Not only is she easy on the eyes, but she is also smart. I would never have guessed it…"

"That was quite a slap in the reporter's face," the short man's wife said as she laughed. "Kylie took the stage, faced the reporters, and put them in their place. It was marvelous. Kylie is a wonder. Just look at the host's face. It is as dark as ink. He is guilty. Kylie has taken on the world and put it in its place."

Everyone there agreed with everything that they were reading on the internet. Everything that was written about Kylie was positive from fans, fellow stars, and industry moguls, and a new Gif was created by a fan in honor of her success. The moment he posted it to his Twitter account, it went viral. All of the negative attention Kylie had previously received was swept away by this one grand gesture.    Even the designer of the dress had taken to the internet to sing Kylie's praise. She had not expected such a speech from Kylie. Once she heard it, though, she made a call to the magazine in the hopes of a future collaboration with Kylie.

Unfortunately, the producer and Laurence were not as keen as the general public was. They surrounded Kylie as soon as she stepped off the stage. "Kylie Finch," Laurence shouted, "are you insane? Why did you talk such nonsense in the face of the media?!?!"

"Who do you think you're, you s.l.u.tty b.i.t.c.h!" snapped the producer. "How dare you make use of us to raise your own popularity?"

Two sponsors blocked Kylie's car and pointed their fingers in her face as they yelled at her. Kylie pushed their fingers away and said, "If you people are not acting responsibly, how is that my fault?" 

"We've invested tens of millions of dollars into your campaign," one of them said, "but now it's all gone! It would be best if you had to pay it back, plus damages. Could you wait until we get our lawyers involved? That will be the end of you!"
