After receiving the news, Kylie thanked Miller and left the lounge to go to the washroom. Dinah followed after her. At first, she'd thought that she'd never get used to being tailed all the time. Now though, it felt weird to not have her around.
Kylie went into the first stall, dropped her pants and panties, sat down on the toilet, and pulled out her phone to check Facebook. She hadn't got a response from Stars in some time, but she suddenly remembered that she could see if Stars had gotten her message or not. She reckoned that the fan who had sent the alb.u.m to Miller was actually Stars, so she wanted to contact him and ask about it.
Because he was the only one who had been watching her since her debut, it made good sense to her that he was the only one who could have done it; a few of the photos were actually photos that she'd sent him. "Was it you who created an alb.u.m of my stage photos and sent it to Director Miller?" she wondered.
"Stars," she continued. "You've helped me out a lot. If you did this, I owe you a great debt. Why are you offline all the time, though? Are you tied up with business, or are you getting ready to come home? I have already sent you several messages, but you haven't responded. Why? I am disappointed!"
Kylie put her cell phone in her pocket, took a p.i.s.s, wiped, stood up, pulled up her pants, went out, and began to wash her hands. Dinah, who had been leaning against the wall, looked at her skeptically, and said, "You were in there long enough. Did you rub one out?"
Kylie scowled, and she said, "No, I did not rub one out!"
Kylie was still was.h.i.+ng her hands when Khloe walked. She smirked at Kylie, crossed her arms beneath her ample b.r.e.a.s.t.s, and said, "Kylie, I just acquired another 13% of the shares of Garcia Entertainment. Shouldn't you congratulate me?"
"Let's congratulate each other," Kylie said. "I have been hired by Miller to be the first supporting actress in his new film! In it, I will actually be playing two roles."
Khloe's smile instantly disappeared.
Laurence had invested millions of dollars into the project, but the only role he'd been able to get for her was insignificant. Meanwhile, Lily and Kylie had gotten much more significant roles, and it hadn't cost them a cent, even though, in her heart, she believed that she was better than either of them, or both of them combined.
Khloe managed to hold back her rage. She knew that losing her temper wouldn't help. She needed to figure out a way to sabotage Kylie's career in a way that was much subtler than anything else that she'd tried. She rolled her eyes, and then, suddenly, an idea came to her. "I forgot to tell you," she laughed, "but after I stole Aiden from you, I found out that the man you treasure so much, is not actually that good. It is a pity too because he doesn't even know that you were the one who saved him. Yesterday, he followed me around everywhere, begging me to be with him."
As Khloe spoke, the door to the washroom was pushed open, and Aiden could be seen outside, leaning on a garbage can. From the expression on his face, they could both see that he was distraught. Surprising them both, he walked into the women's washroom, grabbed Khloe by the collar, and snarled, "What the f.u.c.k are you talking about?"
Khloe looked at him pitifully and said, "Aiden, I'm sorry. I only said that to p.i.s.s Kylie off."
"Are you lying to me?" Aiden snarled.
"I'm not," Khloe cried. "I swear that I'm not!"
Khloe was scared. She felt her legs felt weak, and she almost collapsed on the ground. Aiden sneered, and he pressed her against the edge of the sink. "You aren't telling me the full story," he shouted. "I want to know why you are going around saying this s.h.i.+t because I've heard that you are also saying it to other people!"
Kylie didn't want to be involved in their fight, so she tried to slip past them. Before she could, though, Khloe grabbed her. "Kylie," she cried, "don't leave! I was wrong. This is all my fault. I was blind."
"Leave me alone!" Kylie ordered in a cold voice.
"No," Aiden roared. "You are involved in this. I won't let you go!"
It was at this point that Dinah decided that it was time to interfere. She strode over to Aiden, threw her elbow into his stomach, and pushed him onto the ground. She looked at Kylie and asked her if she was okay. Kylie said she was fine, but she wanted to leave. Dinah took her elbow and led her, not just out of the bathroom but also out of the studio.
They were just about at the exit when Dinah looked, and Kylie smiled and said, "You know all of this could have been prevented if you hadn't wasted all of that time jilling off in the stall!"
Kylie scowled and said, "Har de har har."
Kylie and Dinah were surprised to find Ethan waiting in the parking lot for them. As they approached, Elliot emerged and opened the door for them. Dinah took shotgun, and Kylie climbed into the back to be with Ethan. Once she was seated, she gave him a big hug and asked him what he was doing there.
"I am here for you," he explained with a smile on his face. He looked very happy but, suddenly, something caught his eye, and his smile turned to a frown. Kylie turned to see what he was looking at and, sure enough, she saw Aiden watching them from the main entrance.
As Ethan stepped out of the car, he turned to Kylie and said, "Stay in the car."
As Aiden walked towards Ethan, he began to call out to Kylie, "Kylie! Come out! Come out, Kylie! You don't need this guy. He is a cad!"
As soon as Ethan reached Aiden, he punched him in the face. Aiden's head snapped back as three of his teeth went in all directions, and he fell to the ground. Ethan hunkered down, and he applied pressure to Aiden's nose until he heard it crunch. "If you know what's good for you," he said conversationally, "you will stay away from Kylie. You saw how easy it was to crush your nose. It would be no harder for me to crush your throat. Do you understand?"
"I understand," Aiden cried.
"Good," Ethan said, and then he did something that surprised everyone who was watching. He offered Aiden his hand and helped him up. Once he was on his feet, Ethan looked at him and said, "In this life, you can't always have what you want. Let's not do this again, okay."
Without waiting for a response, Ethan turned, walked back to the car, and climbed in. He met Elliot's eyes in the rearview mirror and told him to drive.
"I feel bad for him suddenly," Kylie said out of nowhere. "His father stole his girlfriend, and then, when he finds a new girl, she is already taken."
Ethan looked at her suspiciously and asked her how she knew about Aiden's father stealing his girlfriend. Kylie bit her lower lip. She didn't want to answer. If she did, it would cause so much trouble for Dora that she didn't wish to, and potentially, it would ruin her reputation.
"Answer me!" Ethan ordered.
Kylie shrugged and said, "He told me. Why are you so angry?"
Ethan smiled, but his eyes were cold. Seeing him like this worried Elliot. Ethan was a strong man, and Elliot knew what he was capable of. Ethan was so strong that he could punch a hole in the wall. Elliot knew that, if Ethan had intended to, he would have killed Aiden. The punch had been nothing more than a warning. He hoped that Aiden knew that.
"Never mind," Ethan replied.
When the car came to a stop, Kylie was surprised to see where Ethan had brought her. Kylie turned to look at Ethan, and she asked him, "Why would you bring me here?"
Ethan got out of the car without saying a word. He opened the door for Kylie and helped her out. The familiar mansion that he'd brought her to made her sad; the Finch House – even from the outside, it caused a chill to wrack her body, and her arms broke out into goose flesh.
"Let's go in," Ethan said. "Let's have a look."
