Trapped In Time 32 What Do The Orbs Want?

Zia had explained to everyone about Orbs. Mono realized that these 75 Orbs who were the energies of the 75 scientists who had died and whose brains were amalgamated with the main brain. The main brain must have been of the person who had initially started this Time Machine project. How disgusting had his people become? They had literally captured the souls of all these people through their brains to work for them. His father and grandfather were two of these 75 Orbs.

Two of these Orbs had drifted towards him and hovered above his head. He had this gut feeling that one Orb was his father and the other was his grandfather.

As the hovered above his head he felt a lot of love and compa.s.sion love emitting towards him from these orbs. When he closed his eyes, he could actually feel their presence in front of him. He was not scared as he knew that these Orbs were not going to harm him.

That madam, he did not know her name, but he felt she knew a lot of things that were beyond science. She had described what Orbs were and maybe she could communicate with them telepathically. But perhaps they were not willing to communicate with her. After all, he was family so they would prefer to communicate with him rather than an outsider.

Mono closed his eyes and connected inwards to his soul to receive the messages from the Orbs. He was constantly nodding his head. All those present in the inner cave could see Mono nodding his head now and then. Everyone realized that something important was being conveyed to him by the Orbs of his relatives. The rest of the Orbs were huddled together waiting patiently for the other two Orbs to return.

"What was being conveyed to Mono by the Orbs of his grandfather and father?" the entire group of 13 was thinking.

After some time the two Orbs moved back. Mono then called the group towards him.

The Orbs have told me many things explaining what all has happened in their lives and what ails our society. So please listen carefully.

Our society comprised of Scientists and thinkers who came from the cities above as well as from other parts of the world about 250 years ago. They all wanted to make a different society of the best people from all walks of life.

There were initially 100 families which were divided into 25 for each town and thus 5 towns were established. We were to live our separate lives but the five would have their local administration as well as send their representative to the main Council at our head town. So towns were named 'Town I', 'Town J', 'Town K', and 'Town M'. We are in 'Town M' it is the biggest and the most developed. The representatives from the other three Towns and our own Town M send their representatives @ 2 each to the council which is headed by the 'Administrator'. This is like the country having state governments who rule the states but they sent representatives to the Central Government where things have to be seen from the holistic perspective. These representatives chose the Administrator from among the 8 people and the post vacated is filled up by another representative of that town. There was another town called' 'Town L' which was abandoned we do not know why. It is still a mystery. No one lives there.

This was going smoothly for the last 250 years. We were allowed to go to the Cities above and gain knowledge and even get married to someone there. It was allowed for men and women to do so. But there was something that started happening about 80 years ago. Our movements were restricted. We were not allowed to get married outside. As a result, our gene pool got restricted and many genetic disorders started to develop. The non-scientific people did not understand that intermarriage within the four towns had side effects. Everyone ended up being related to someone or the other. Lethal genes, suppressed genes started showing up and many people were born with deformities, brain issues, etc.

My grandfather was the last one to go out of this area. He managed to acquire knowledge and got married but he was not allowed to bring my grandmother back to this place. After my grandmother died, my grandfather came back her with his baby, my father.

My grandfather realized that the previous Administrator was cruel but the present one is even more of a cruel person. He wanted the time machine developed fast. To tell you the truth there were a few scientists who supported him and suggested using our brains after our death to be joined with the brain of the deceased scientist whose huge brain had been sacrificed for the project. Then, it became a rule that any scientist who worked here would, after his death, be cremated. But his brain would be surgically removed and amalgamated with the first brain of the time machine. In this way, 75 scientists were unwillingly sacrificed for this project. A project that no would want to be successful.

No one has ever made a time machine to go into the future and come back or go into the past and come back. Imagine the horror if they changed something then history would change or future would change. Yes, books like H.G. Wells did suggest about such a time machine in which he traveled to the future. But he was not happy to see what mankind's easy ways in the future had made humans useless.

There was also a secret experiment called Philadelphia experiment involving USS Eldridge which made a s.h.i.+p disappear though no proof exists. It is said that the experiment was repeated on October 28, 1943. This time, Eldridge not only became invisible, but she disappeared from the area in a flash of blue light and was teleported to Norfolk, Virginia which was over 200 miles (320 km) away. It is claimed that Eldridge was viewed by the men abroad the s.h.i.+p USS Andrew Furuseth. Thereafter, Eldridge disappeared and reappeared in Philadelphia it had originally occupied. It was also said that the wars.h.i.+p went approximately ten minutes back in time.

Many versions of the tale include descriptions of serious side effects for the crew. Some crew members were said to have been physically fused to bulkheads while others suffered from mental disorders, some re-materialized inside out, and still, others vanished. It is also claimed that the s.h.i.+p's crew may have been subjected to brainwas.h.i.+ng in order to maintain the secrecy of the experiment.

We do not know if this actually happened or these were just stories. But such experiments were never attempted again. So time travel or going through a portal is not an easy thing. It can affect your memory etc.

The Orbs of the 75 scientists did not want to continue this experiment. But the rules were so strict, that the newer scientists were made to work on the project. This project was not only in their M town but was being done in the other three towns as well.

The Orbs want the help of your group in destroying the time machines in the other three towns. They also want to overthrow the 'Administrator' and his band of evil council members.

They will, in turn, help us be invisible to everyone in that they will stop time for us.
