Trapped In Time 68 The Flat Earth Part 5

After Aarvin left the children went to the respective dorms. They washed the clothes they had been wearing with the liquid soap in the washrooms. They bathed using the toiletries which were all plant-based, environment-friendly and gentle on the skin. They wore the clothes that had been placed on their respective beds. Each bed had the name of the person who would sleep on it and the right size clothes were placed on the bed. The washed clothes were hung outside to dry in the air drying area behind the dorms.

The new clothes were almost similar to the clothes they had got at the residential hostel of the scientists. The girls found that their new s.h.i.+rts were in light green and the long skirts were in various shades of green with floral or geometric patterns. The patterns on all the 5 skirts were different. like dots and dashes of the SOS signal.

The boys had also washed their clothes. They were very happy with the plant-based environment-friendly stuff in the washroom. Their clothes were green t-s.h.i.+rts and brown trousers. They also hung their clothes to dry outside in the air drying area.

Within an hour, all of them were ready to proceed to the dining hall for lunch. At the dot, Aarvin knocked at the door of the dorm of the boys and then he knocked at the door of the dorm of the girls to take everyone to the dining hall.

Lunch was in the form of a buffet system. One picked up his plate and moved in a straight line. A long table was there where dishes containing various food items were placed. As one pa.s.sed he poured the foodstuff in small portions that he wanted to eat onto your plate. There was tomato soup, followed by rice, flatbread, mixed vegetables, cottage cheese with gravy and peas, Kidney beans with gravy, curd, mint chutney, and mixed pickle. There was a rice pudding too but that was a sweet dish for after lunch.

The children enjoyed the tasty food and it reminded them of the homemade food cooked back home by their mothers. After Lunch, the children walked a little to digest the food and then proceeded to rest. After all, the food was so tasty that they had indulged themselves.

They wanted to rest in order to be well rested before meeting the leaders and managers of this Magical World whom Aarvin had arranged for them to meet and discuss things.

The Orbs divided themselves into two groups and the major portion left to hunt for crystals. The rest remain behind to guard the children. The Orbs who left to look for crystals were reminded not to touch the crystals unless the Orbs had sought permission from the crystals that had come on the Magical World due to meteorite showers.

After their short siesta, they were called to the dining hall by Aarvin. It was almost 6 p.m. but it was not as yet dark. They reached the dining hall and saw about a dozen persons sitting there waiting for them. Introductions were made and the people were very happy to see the Earthlings. After a long time Earthlings had visited their world. At least, the Earthlings remembered them after so many years.

Zen and Zoya explained to them that they were not aware of this flat satellite called Magical World. They had come to get crystals for the hypnotizers that were needed to freeze some persons in the hidden little world. This hidden world was made by people who lived hidden from the rest of the world. It was like a Utopia but the Utopia was ridden with oppressive rulers now and the people there were fighting back. It was a silent weaponless struggle to take back the control by the people. The children further explained that they did not belong to the Little Utopia but to the city above it and had ventured into that area by mistake. They had to stay back to help as much as they could before heading back to their school in the city.

The children also explained that the oppressive leaders had done some harm to some people. Two of their adult supervisors had stayed behind to do a reverse atomization experiment with a few scientists to bring back a Scientist that had been thrown into a time machine and was atomized.

The people in the Magical World understood what was meant by an Oppressive ruler. They had one, many years ago and they had also fought back to remove him.

"We understand from Aarvin that you wanted to see the control machinery of this world as well as the landing site of the aliens." one of the leaders said.

" We have no objection to your seeing both these places, but we cannot let you take pictures. I hope that is ok with you?" another person inquired.

Tina turned to her cla.s.smates and said," Does he not sound like those guards outside important buildings."

Another person seemed to have heard what Tina had said. She was a female manager and she spoke with a chuckle, "You are absolutely right, Tina, we do sound quite pompous."

Another person looked at this lady with displeasure as to why she had laughed when they were having a serious discussion?

Soon the elders started talking among themselves. They seemed to be having an animated discussion.

After about 15 minutes of discussions, they called for the attention of Sherpa and the children. Their spokesperson turned to them all and said, "We have decided to let you see these places but they will be shown to you one at a time."

"Tomorrow we will take you to the mountain to see the management of the machinery that controls the satellite. The good news is that a s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p will be coming in tomorrow so you can see how it is guided in through the aperture in the sky."

"Day after tomorrow you will be taken to see the landing area/launching pad for the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+ps as one arrives tomorrow."

"Just maybe, you will get a chance to talk to the aliens day after tomorrow, as these aliens will arrive tomorrow and will stay here on this Magical World for a few days."

The children could not believe their luck. They were very happy. They had got an opportunity to explore new things on this flat satellite and would meet an alien.

"But in turn, you will see the great books and tell us what has transpired on Earth since then?" the spokesperson asked.

The children agreed at once that they were ready to help out.
