Chapter 219: Ruined Reputation

“You’re here, Dean Wu!” Gao Wenqiang shouted. Then, he pointed at Tang Hao and said viciously, “That’s him! He’s the student who beat me! This student is cruel and vicious. He doesn’t deserve to be in Z University.”

Dean Wu looked at Tang Hao and his face darkened.

He knew who Tang Hao was. Tang Hao got himself a spot in Z University because of his connection, which was apparently quite powerful. Otherwise, there was no way for him to get into Z University.

He had no opinion of the student. If upper management had allowed him entry to the university, then he had no say in it.

However, that kid had caused so much trouble on his second day in college!

It was utterly ridiculous!

How could Z University harbor a student who beat up his teacher?

If news got out, that would utterly ruin the reputation of Z University.

“Are you the one who beat him up, Tang Hao?” Dean Wu asked sternly, suppressing his anger.

Tang Hao did not deny it. He nodded and said, “I’m the one who beat him up!”

Gao Wenqiang jumped. “Look at him! He isn’t remorseful at all! It’s probably not the first time that he did it. He must be a hooligan,” he yelled.

Dean Wu and the other administrators looked unpleasant.

‘This student’s behavior is unacceptable!’

A student beating up a teacher is an immoral act. Some might even say that it was heretical.

“We can’t let this slide, Dean! We’ll need to treat this matter strictly!”

“Right! It ought to be handled with the utmost strictness!”

The administrators and teachers weighed in with their opinions.

Gao Wenqiang was laughing up his sleeve. He tried not to display his glee as he looked at Tang Hao.

As long as he could get that student expelled from Z University, being beaten up was nothing at all!

He grinned wickedly at Tang Hao, then looked at Dean Wu. “Dean Wu, our Z University is a prestigious learning inst.i.tution. He doesn’t belong here! We ought to expel him.

“Who knows what worse things he would do in the future? That’ll be a blemish on Z University’s reputation. It would be a disservice to our hallowed inst.i.tution if he were allowed to stay.”

Dean Wu seemed convinced. He was not very fond of that student anyway.

However, he knew that the student had someone powerful backing him. He would probably need to fight for his expulsion.

He thought for a while, then displayed an expression of determination.

“Don’t worry, Wenqiang. I’ll make sure that justice will be restored. This student was enrolled under rather peculiar circ.u.mstances, but I will do my best to ensure that he is expelled.”

“Thank you, Dean Wu!” Gao Wenqiang became happier than ever.

“Don’t mention it,” Dean Wu said while waving his hand. “You’re a teacher of my faculty. I, as the leader, will back you up. We can’t accept a student who doesn’t show any respect to his teachers.”

Then, he looked at Tang Hao and said, “Tang Hao, you are suspended with immediate effect. You will receive the official notice soon.”

Tang Hao remained calm and nonchalant.

He was not perturbed by being expelled, though he felt a little sorry for Vice Governor He.

However, he would not forget that spiteful person named Gao Wenqiang. He would not let the matter slide!

As disinterested as he may be, some of the students, especially the girls, were worried about Tang Hao.

Liu Feifei stood up and said, “Dean Wu. It’s not Tang Hao’s fault! Teacher Gao was finding fault with him, and it was also Teacher Gao who struck first.”

Gao Wenqiang’s expression became unpleasant. “What are you saying, Liu Feifei? I wasn’t finding fault with him!” He said sternly.

“What’s going on?” Dean Wu furrowed his brows.

“Teacher Gao struck first!” Many girls shouted.

Teacher Gao was not popular among the students because of his unnerving disposition. Furthermore, the girls had witnessed the entire event and had no reason to speak up for their teacher.

“That is total nonsense!” Gao Wenqiang became angry and his face turned vicious.

The administrators and teachers had doubtful expressions on their faces.

They had a.s.sumed that the student named Tang Hao had beaten up the teacher perhaps because of an argument. It seemed that there was more to the situation.

Things would have been very different if Teacher Gao was the one who struck first.

“What actually happened, Wenqiang?” Dean Wu asked sternly.

“I didn’t lay a finger on him!” Gao Wenqiang argued, “I wasn’t happy that a transfer student is sitting in my cla.s.s because of his connections, and I disciplined him with some harsh words. Who knew that the student was belligerent and talked back. I asked him to leave the cla.s.sroom, but he became physical after that.

“Of course, I tried to pull him out of his seat, but he slapped me in return. Then, he continued to punch and kick me. Look at these injuries,” Gao Wenqiang said agitatedly while pointing at various parts on his body.

“Well, I can’t blame you for that!” Dean Wu said.

He was not too fond of the student who had exploited his connections. Gao Wenqiang was still young, and he might just be impulsive.

Gao Wenqiang was laughing up his sleeve. “The students have all misunderstood me, Dean.”

Dean Wu nodded. “That settles it!”

He then turned to Tang Hao and said, “You should leave immediately. You don’t have to come to any more cla.s.ses.”

Tang Hao did not mind that. He picked up his backpack and prepared to leave.

Gao Wenqiang was even more gleeful.

Suddenly, everyone heard a feminine voice outside the cla.s.sroom. “Wait!”

Then, Jiang Wanying appeared at the door and came in.

Gao Wenqiang’s expression changed drastically.

“Why are you here, Teacher Jiang?” Dean Wu was surprised.

Jiang Wanying’s expression was icy. She glared at Gao Wenqiang, then said, “If I hadn’t made it in time, someone might have succeeded in his schemes.”

“What do you mean?” Dean Wu became more confused than ever.

“I want to file a complaint today, Dean,” Jiang Wanying said coldly.

“Who are you complaining about, Teacher Jiang? What’s going on?” Dean Wu said.

“I want to file a complaint against him, Gao Wenqiang!” Jiang Wanying said, spitting out each syllable, as she glared at Gao Wenqiang.

“What?” Everyone exclaimed in surprise. The students all displayed expressions of utter shock.

“What are you saying, Teacher Jiang?” Gao Wenqiang was beginning to panic.

“Why, are you feeling afraid now? Why aren’t you afraid when you hara.s.s me daily? If not that Tang Hao intervened last night, I don’t know if I’ll be standing here.

“Gao Wenqiang, you might look like a gentleman, but you’re actually a spiteful person, and even a pervert!” Jiang Wanying roared angrily.

“You were angry that Tang Hao stopped you in your evil deeds last now, and that’s why you’re finding fault with him today. Don’t tell me that it’s a coincidence!”

The cla.s.sroom erupted noisily just as she finished speaking.

Not only the girls were shocked, even the boys displayed indignant expressions.

Dean Wu and the other administrators looked at each other awkwardly. His gaze toward Gao Wenqiang became sterner.

“That’s nonsense! I’ve never hara.s.sed you!” Gao Wenqiang was livid. “Do you have proof?”

“Proof? I have plenty!” Jiang Wanying laughed coldly. She took out her phone and gave it to Dean Wu. “You can look at the text messages he sent me.”

Dean Wu took the phone and checked the messages. His face instantly turned ashen from anger.

“This is outrageous!” Dean Wu chided.

The administrators crowded around behind him and looked at the phone, and soon they displayed expressions of incredulity. Their gaze toward Gao Wenqiang carried hints of disgust.

“The message at the top was what he sent me last night. That is proof enough that he intends to cause me harm. I think I should be able to go to the police with those messages alone!” Jiang Wanying said.

Gao Wenqiang trembled and his face turned pale.

“This is all false! This filthy wh.o.r.e is trying to frame me! Don’t believe her!” Gao Wenqiang’s expression was vicious.

“She is a salacious woman. Last night, she tried to flirt with me. Don’t believe what she says.”

Tang Hao rolled his eyes and said mockingly, “Please! How about you look at yourself in the mirror? Who would want to flirt with you?”

The people did not believe Gao Wenqiang’s claim either.

Teacher Jiang was Z University’s most beautiful female teacher. It was a big joke if she had flirted with Gao Wenqiang.
