The maid who was serving his breakfast approached him.

"Betrayer", she whispered in his right ear giving a smug smile.

Samuel was petrified seeing his blood dripping from his mouth onto the plate. " You... Mnn", he wanted to alert guards regarding the intruder, but his voice didn't come out. Blood was dripping profusely.

"Aigoo!! Don't get angry. You need to stay calm. The more your body reacts the faster the poison spreads in your body".She jumped to sit on the table and crossed her legs.

" You...", his voice in whispers.

" What? Unable to speak ... Oh my!! How pitiful ", the maid said as though she was really feeling sorry for his situation. She then took a napkin and cleaned his bloodied mouth. Throwing it away her eyes once again turned cold, " My highness ordered me to kill you. You know how LOYAL I am right? ", she emphasized on the word 'loyal' wantedly and sarcastically, to show his disloyalty.

She Bent near his face, her sharp nail playfully travelling on his face, " Don't worry. You are not alone in death ".

She told it very indirectly. But he easily understood what she meant by that. Yet he don't want to believe that. He don't want to confirm it.

" Oh my!! Should I tell it directly. I think it will be very pleasing to hear knowing who are going to accompany you in your journey of death".

Her finger nail travelling South which stopped near his neck. She then peirced her sharp nail hardly into his throat."huh...",his pained voice came in gasp.Blood began to flow down from his neck. His hands automatically wrapped around his neck to stop the blood flow.

"Oh my G.o.d!! Did I hurt you. Don't worry, you might come across your family in the journey of afterlife".

That was it. What he thought shouldn't happen it happened. His family was killed. His precious daughter, months pregnant wife and his son. No one was left. No one escaped this cruel fate. His blood began to boil with rage. He wanted to kill someone. But his body was weak. The poison has already deeply spreaded in his body. It was killing him. He know his death was approaching him.

"You said.....you won't.. Kill... My... Fam.. Family", he managed to tell them. She couldn't decipher what he said because of his low voice. But she could tell it must be regarding his family.

Removing wax in her ear, " Of course we promised you", she rubbed her dirty finger on his s.h.i.+rt, '' but it's you who betrayed us first. Can you recall what are you going to do today? ".

He was in utter shock. He never spoke to anyone from yesterday and only hid in his room. How come they know about his plans to deceive them and surrender to the king?.

Her hands moved to the stack of papers he was carrying this morning which he would present near Alexander Seazle. " Thought we don't get the access to your room".

Her hands immediately got on the letters having their seal. "If you want to be hide youself you should close your window too".She then throwed those papers upon his face.

So all these days they were even rummaging through his room to check upon him. Samuel was surprised knowing this.

Taking a fork she stabbed it in his chest, " What??did you think we don't know it when you stab our back".

His white s.h.i.+rt now turned red in color from his blood. "You.. Should have.... Killed me... Why my fam.. ".She cut his words.

" I already told you to not to overwork. You will die in seconds if not", she reminded him to stay calm. She liked it. To play with him in his helpless state.

She took the pepper bottle and drizzled some on his chest wound. The pain was agonizing. It was burning.

" No matter how much it hurts. You cant scream for help". She took a herb from her pocket. Brus.h.i.+ng it near his nose indicating him to smell, "Do you know what was it? ".

She was catching the tip of the herbs instead of its roots. She knew he won't know about it. She jumped down the floor and went near his ear.

" It was bell snakeroot.By the name we can say, the poison was found in root. If one will mix it even the slightest quant.i.ty of its roots in the food we eat or in the water we drink no one could notice any change", she whispered.

Now he understood. She used bell snakeroot in his food to poison him.

"Do you want to know how it will make you die? Hahh... Hahaha", she laughed crazily at his face.

As she spoke it became hard for him to breath. He began to breath with his mouth.

" See.. The effect of poison has started".

"Should I tell you what happens later? ", she became serious all of a sudden.

Tears began to drip when he thought about his children. They were still small. How hard it must have been upon them to die not knowing why they are dying?
