Reign Of Worm 8 Natural Enemy

*Sigh* That was satisfying. Taking the time to level my tunnel skill was worth it. I even made my home bigger, not that there's much use for that. It didn't level up either, I can sense it'll take a lot more work. So what's on the agenda today?

Well. I guess I'll go look for a new variety of monster to eat. It's pretty tiring to eat centipedes every day, even if they do deserve death. Can't just let them lie around after all. Alright, let's go to the pond area!

Man, I made this tunnel way too long. It's twisty, curvy, and leads in no particular direction, which really itches my bristles. Ha, we're finally here! I swear I almost died of boredom. Anyway, rambling out of the way, I cautiously peer into the cavern to gauge the reaction of the monsters. I did kill one of them yesterday, after all.

Nothing. Good. These monsters are abnormally peaceful though. Not sure if I like that. Reaction gauged, I worm my way closer to the pond, at the price of some of my vision. It's like a black hole for heat. Oh well, nothing can be done about it. I'm worming my way over slowly when I feel a sense of danger. What? What is this? My vision frantically swirls, trying to gauge the origin of the threat. I'm soaked in sweat, mentally of course. What could be making me feel like this?

It's coming. I notice other monsters start s.h.i.+vering as well, but they don't run away like I plan to do. Guess they have more guts than me, though I suspect not for much longer. As I'm about to escape from where I came, I realize that that's where the pressure is coming from. s.h.i.+t! Oh well, can't do anything about it. No need to panic, let's just take the way the acid centipede took yesterday! Quick! No time to lose! If anything, it's my life that will be lost!

I quickly, well as quickly as a worm can, make my way over to the smaller pa.s.sageway the acid centipede went through previously. The pressure is coming closer, very quickly, and I literally can't stop moving for a second. s.h.i.+t, it's here.

Following my exclamation, I quickly burrow into the side of the wall and hide from whatever can make me feel that scared. I freeze myself, not daring to move, as I wait to see what happens next.

Then the screams began.

It seems there was a nefarious reason for that pond, or whatever the enormous monster wants is there. Either way, any monster that didn't flee is currently being ma.s.sacred under my heat sense. It's quite graphic. I even saw a centipede getting ripped apart. He ended up in five whole pieces! Then, there was a spider. This poor guy got all of his legs ripped off and stuck back into his body. Repeatedly. The spider must've been one of the stronger ones, or at least his body was. Truly an undying bug.

That said, I'm just watching, s.h.i.+vering at the acts this monster commits. What is this monster? Well, that's where I feel good ol' Jeremy is playing a sick joke on me. It's a f.u.c.king ground beetle, one of my species worst enemies! What a sick f.u.c.king joke! If this dude finds me all I'll end up is a tasty dessert after this dude's snack! And he's f.u.c.king huge. I estimate he's 10 meters tall, or even more! He doesn't even bring his whole body in, just camps the entrance and leisurely kills all of the monsters at the pool. Talk about a farm! This beetle is very intelligent. I definitely do not want to f.u.c.k with this guy!

That said, what can I even do? I'm stuck here watching as he eats anything and everything he can get his hands on, so to speak, even the acid centipede was fully eaten, leaving nothing but the innards that leaked out when he was spliced! I don't think anybody may leave here alive!

Hours pa.s.s by, and the beetle finally gets bored enough to leave! Not before, of course, it eyes my little self inside of the wall, making sure I know he could've gotten to me but didn't want to really bother. What a f.u.c.king b.a.s.t.a.r.d! But what can I even do to him?! This makes me so angry!
