"I heard from Yu Lou that you've been having nightmares recently. Is it true?" Shen Zichen asked Li Chuntao who'd slumped on his floor, lazily reading a book in her hand while two cats curled beside her. She hummed and flipped to the next page without sparing him a look. 

"Why's everyone making a big deal out of it? It's normal to have bad dreams once in a while," she said in a flat voice. But in truth, Li Chuntao didn't like that everyone's prying into her business. There was nothing to talk about anyway. 

"Don't be mad. We're just worried about you. Can't you tell me what you were dreaming about?" Shen Zichen sat next to her and looked over her shoulder only to see her reading the notes he made back in Uni. How could he forget that she was also a doctor like him? 

"No." Li Chuntao shot him down, not giving him a chance to question her recurring dreams. She'd thought that because she didn't have them for months, she was given a momentary peace of mind. The dreams came back and it only meant that something had triggered it and she knew what it was.

"It's already three months." Shen Zichen leaned against his couch and looked up at the ceiling. It had been three months since Li Xiuying's pa.s.sing and Li Chuntao's return but for him, it felt like yesterday. 

He took a side glance at the woman sitting next to him and thought how people could easily be fooled by her face. Actually, if he didn't pay attention, Li Chuntao could easily deceive him as Ying too. Thinking about it, was there an instance where he failed to distinguish the Li twins? 

But he wasn't able to come up to an answer because Li Chuntao had to change the course of their conversation. Perhaps, she didn't want to be reminded of how easily she lost her twin sister in such a short time. Her silence over the matter told Shen Zichen that she wasn't ready to talk about her grief and pain over Li Xiuying's pa.s.sing. 

"The nominations for the best newcomer actress award would be announced soon. Another show is about to begin," she told him. Li Chuntao seemed like she was looking forward to a great performance later. 

Shen Zichen had no idea what she was talking about but could surmise that it involves Lin Meirong and Mu Jianyu. Was her plan for revenge going smoothly? How long will it take for her to break the two? Shen Zichen wondered. 

"You are up to something," he commented and Li Chuntao didn't even hide the insidious smile that crept on her lips, but for Shen Zichen, he found it so alluring, so beautiful. 

Didn't people say that they should be wary of conniving women? But don't they know that even the coldest ice queen deserves her own happy ending? 

"Why, of course," she snickered at him and giggled. "I'll let Lin Meirong experience getting drunk in bliss and enjoy her stay on top of her invisible high horse before letting it fall down the drain in a blink if an eye." 

Nothing could stop her now. Since Lin Meirong and Mu Jianyu continued to play pretend with her. She would cause more troubles between the two, but first, she would let Lin Meirong get drunk on a cup of cheap wine she poured herself. 

"And as for you...." Li Chuntao trailed off, her eyes full of mischief. 

"What about me?" Shen Zichen gave her a pointed look. 

"It's almost time to make Mu Jianyu suspicious, don't you think?" She grinned evilly back on him. "What do you say, Doctor Shen?" 

Shen Zichen wrapped an arm around her and pulled her towards him. He hadn't seen her since he moved close to her because of his busy schedule and had been missing her since then. 

"You're quite wicked, Dr. Li. Do you know that?" He placed a chaste kiss on her cheek and pressed his nose on her crown, inhaling her unique scent. 

"I've been called worst, Doctor Shen,"

Three days later, Lin Meirong received a call from the director of 'To You With Love' that she and Lan Jinyao received the formal nomination for the best newcomer actress award. She'd been ecstatic and busied herself, composing her speech and selecting the outfit she would wear at the award ceremony as if she was sure that she would be the one to win the award. 

This was the scene Mu Jianyu walked into; her pacing around her room with several evening dresses thrown on the huge bed as she raided her own closet to find the best dress that could hide her baby b.u.mp and could outs.h.i.+ne Lan Jinyao. 

"I don't know how you were able to convince them to give me a nomination but I don't care! I'm pretty sure my acting is better than Lan Jinyao. Once they see the film, they would be able to tell the difference in our performance." Lin Meirong said gleefully, ignoring the scowl on Mu Jianyu's face as he sat on a vacant seat watching her. 

His eyes swept over her form and then stopped at the small b.u.mp on her stomach. His child, the proof of his betrayal to his own wife. It left a bitter taste in his mouth and he looked away. The one who should've been pregnant and carrying his child should be Ying and not this woman. 

Because of Lin Meirong's pregnancy, she didn't accept any project for now and would wait until she gave birth. Since there weren't many people who knew about her pregnancy, she could easily earn some minor roles in the future. 

"Ah, I don't think I have the right dress for the event." Lin Meirong gave up and sat down on her bed. None of her dresses fit her anymore as her chest and hips were bigger and nothing could hide the slight b.u.mp on her stomach. 

"Get someone to get your measurements. I'll try to see if I can get you a decent one before the award." Mu Jianyu knew what she was whining about now but can't do anything but pacify her needs. As long as Ying wouldn't be able to find out about it. 

"Great!" Lin Meirong clapped her hands, "I know I could always rely on you, Jianyu!" She beamed him a flirty smile that Mu Jianyu was familiar with. However, this time it didn't have any effect on him, unlike before, because right now, he only felt pity and disgust for this woman. 

Mu Jianyu couldn't help but compare her smile to Ying's and no doubt for him, his wife's smile was the most beautiful. Nothing can be compared to her warm and angelic smile that could melt a person's heart. 

His hands clenched on his side. He suddenly felt worthless of her affection. He found himself so despicable. How could he betray her? Why did he forget his promises to her? 

Mu Jianyu lifted his head and saw Lin Meirong. Yes, he knew now where he went wrong. If it wasn't because of this shameless woman… No. He was also one to blame. It takes two to tango and Mu Jianyu knew it was him who sinned first.
