Elementalist: Time Controllers 9 Ch. 9 'Edward's Feelings'

"Since the first time I met you, I've been captivated by your charm, miss. And when Lord Fiery offered me to be your bodyguard, I was very happy. I can see you every day and be with you. I was quite sad since at first, you did not like me. You did not even pay attention to me."

Hearing Edward's explanation, Scarlet was stunned and still could not believe it.

"From the start, my heart and mind were only for you Miss Scarlet Fiery. If you need a brother, I'll be your brother. If you need a friend to confide in, I'll be a good listener for you. And if you are in danger, I will protect you with my life."

"Is that true?" Scarlet's voice almost whispered in disbelief at what she had just heard.

"Are you perhaps an Elementalist knight?"

"Once someone becomes the knight, when he meets 'the one', he will immediately fall in love with that person. Wasn't that what you are experiencing?"

Edward just smiled. "Sorry. But I'm not one of those knights."

"Yes, of course. If I don't become the red knight, I won't believe you."

Edward looked at her in confusion. It seemed he did not understand what the girl had just said.

"Now I am the red knight. The knight of the Flames. And you Edward, just become my inamorato." explained she with an excited voice.

Hearing this, Edward remembered when his strength was out of control. He felt something hot on his left shoulder. He immediately turned to his shoulder and saw a picture of the symbol of fire inside the red circle there.

Edward smiled understandingly.

"So the reason why I couldn't control my fire elemental earlier was that I just received your power. That makes sense."

"You don't seem to like it."

"What do you think? All this time I was your bodyguard. Business affairs dirty or beat people and protect you is my business. Why do I have to accept your energy? Without your energy I believe I can protect both of us. Why did you give me your strength?"

For the first time in her whole life, she finally could live freely and that too, with her beloved one.
