These few days, Zihou remained in her own compound reading or designing the treatment plan to cure Wei Ziyu's legs. Possessing a photographic memory, she took just a few days to gain a pretty good understanding of this world.

Everything was progressing very smoothly, but one point continued to confound Zihou.

In this world, she knew the importance of might and strength. As a result, she didn't dare to delay in matters of cultivation. She had tried many times over the past few days to cultivate auras, but to her great regret, she failed to make any progress. No matter how closely she followed the instructions in the books, she just could not cultivate a red aura, which was the first stage to becoming an aura cultivator.

She was overcome by a sense of helplessness and despair. She couldn't but ask herself if her body was suitable for cultivating auras. Was she really that useless?

Nevertheless, she was not the kind of person who would bang their head uselessly against a dead end. Since she couldn't understand it now, she would temporarily set the problem aside.

"Young Mistress, which outfit do you want to wear when you go out later?" Yer had immediately started preparing Zihou's clothes the moment she found out that Zihou would be heading out to buy the necessary medicines to treat Wei Ziyu's legs.

"This pink outfit or this red one?" Yer spent a long time rummaging in her closets before finally selecting two dresses which were both equally garish in design and color.

The corners of Zihou's lips twitched as she surveyed the outfits. Even peac.o.c.ks would lose to her if she wore those out! Recalling that the former occupant of her body used to wear such clothing, she couldn't help shaking her head at her lack of taste.

"These colors are too bright, and the designs too fussy. Don't take out any more of such outfits in the future. From now on, I will only wear clothes with simpler designs and tones."

"Okay." Yer nodded without much surprise. After all, Zihou had behaved like a totally new person over the past few days. It would be a lie to say she had not been astounded, but she was actually delighted at this transformation.

"Young Mistress, you have really changed a lot…" Yer couldn't help speaking out.

"Really?" Zihou raised one brow with a faint smile.

"Yeah. You have become so smart and beautiful and even possess medical knowledge. You're now even more luminous than the full moon." Yer always found the full moon the most beautiful sight of all, but now, she felt that Zihou was even more lovely.

"Then do you think I have changed for the better or for the worse?" Zihou smiled teasingly.

"Of course for the better!" Yer nodded with certainty. "In the past, you were always bullied. I could barely stand to watch. But with my humble position, there was nothing I could do…" Yer lowered her head in shame, her heart filled with deep remorse.

"Yer, don't worry. No one will ever bully your Young Mistress ever again." Zihou patted Yer's head as a sharp glint flashed across her eyes. "Not only that, but I will also make them pay back all their former wrongdoings to me!" She would let them know what was called too late for regret!

Yer felt rather dazed at her Young Mistress' harsh expression. She had no doubt that those who bullied Young Mistress in the past would… die a terrible death!

West Capital was the capital city of Western Chu. Hence, it was naturally a vibrant and prosperous city.

The magnificent Chang An Street was the main avenue in West Capital. It was wide and s.p.a.cious, enough for dozens of horses to ride along shoulder-to-shoulder.

The street was paved with clean, polished stones—crowds of people, horses, and carriages thronged the pavement ceaselessly. Two long rows of stores were set up on both sides of the street, selling all sorts of goods.

Cries of the hawkers promoting their wares and the various noises of the bustling crowds filled the air in one endless stream of sounds.

Zihou surveyed the scene before her, looking at everything through fresh eyes. Although she had already been in this new world for several days, this was the first time she had stepped out of the General's estate, not to mention coming to this street.

After touring the street, Zihou went to West Capital's largest pharmacy to buy some of the necessary medicines. As she bought quite a large quant.i.ty, she had Yer bring them back to the estate first.

Strolling along the street without Yer constantly nattering at her ear—it was indeed much more peaceful.

She came to a stop outside a restaurant. Zihou surveyed the place and a spark of interest flashed across her eyes.

"First Impressions Restaurant? Haha, what an interesting place." She muttered to herself as she stepped into the building.

This restaurant ran a lively business. An endless stream of customers came and left via the front doors, all of whom stopped dead in their tracks at the sight of that beautiful, slender young lady standing there.

The gorgeous young girl looked about 17 years old and was wearing a plain, pure-white dress, with only a simple embroidery around the hems of the sleeves.

Glossy, black hair cascaded down to her waist, her l.u.s.trous locks s.h.i.+ning under the sunlight.

Her exquisite features were pristine, but the curve of her lips held a trace of wickedness. Those limpid eyes were as clear as divine pools and sparkling with spirited energy.

Everyone gasped. Thereafter, a wave of whispered murmurs spread through the crowd.

"Quick, look. What a beautiful girl. I wonder which n.o.ble family is she from?"

"Such a lovely lady, I daresay she must not be from West Capital."

"Indeed. This girl is so much more beautiful than Ninth Princess and all the other n.o.ble ladies in the Prime Minister's estate!"

"…"

Zihou chose to ignore the crowd's reaction and continued on her way into the restaurant.

Although it was no longer noon, business remained brisk inside the restaurant. Zihou scanned the entire hall and found a more quiet spot to sit down.

"Waiter, bring me a pot of tea." A melodious voice, as clear as spring water, sounded out. It was a voice that stirred the heart, and the noisy restaurant instantly went quiet.

Sitting on a red, wooden chair, Zihou surveyed the First Impressions Restaurant.

This restaurant had three levels. The first floor was for dining and was the noisiest area. Zihou also spied a row of windows on the second level and realized they must be private lounges. As for the third floor, she could not observe it from her vantage point. But she surmised it must be reserved for lodgings or the establishment's office.

At this point, a hand slowly pulled aside a curtain covering a window on the second floor. A predatory sense of excitement lit up a pair of eyes staring straight at Zihou.
