"Miss Mila, Miss Mila, please wake up Miss Mila."

I groggily flipped my face the other way. Please give me five more minutes to sleep.

"Five more minutes Clark."

Clark pulled the cover off my shoulders and pounded the area of the table next to me. I rubbed my eyes and said.

"f.u.c.k you Clark."

Clark chuckled before leaning in and flicking my forehead.

"You have to wake up now Miss Mila, the Marquis wants to see you."

I started banging my head on the table.

SOMEONE KNOCK ME OUT RIGHT NOW! I CAN'T DEAL WITH THAT OLD f.u.c.kER RIGHT NOW!

"Miss Mila! Stop hitting your head on the table! Zarfia! Miss Mila has actually gone berserk!"

I started internally sobbing. Even my crew members have lost all respect for me. I sighed as I felt a warm liquid trickle down my forehead. Instead of being knocked out I am now blessed with a headache of the century. I don't even have Tylenol in this world. I sat up from the table and cried out as my neck and back cracked. I think that my parents made a mistake on my birth certificate because my bones are frailer than that of a sixty-year-old arthritis struck lady. I turned to see my crew members cautiously approaching me with concern. I tried to stand up but my knees cracked.

"Miss Mila!"

My crew members cried out as several other parts of me cracked. Jacia rolled on the ground holding her stomach with laughter. Daniella and Clarabella continued to sleep. No one else was in the room. They must have went to the kitchen to eat.

Blood metaphorically seeped from my mouth. I am probably the most pitiable person living on the face of the earth right now. I chuckled as I took a step. My ankles cracked as I stepped towards the door. My crew members cried out and covered their eyes as I leaned on the wall. I turned back and with fake tears in my eyes said.

"Don't forget me."

Jacia's laughter was to the point that she was going to choke on her tongue. She kept slamming the floor with her hand as Josh and Ash joined her. Zarfia, Clark and Wilhelm glared at them while Lutious slept on Daniella's lap along with Clarabella. I smiled and chuckled before closing the door behind me. They truly felt like a family to me.

I stopped in front of the Marquis's door with anxiety filling my stomach. I yawned and knocked twice before opening the door. The Marquis's room was lit with servants milling around. I smiled. Perfect. The Marquis was so busy that he can't track my very movement. My plan was working out perfectly.

"Mr. Marquis, Mila is at your service. What is it that you wanted to discuss?"

The Marquis smiled gently before he said.

"Ah Mila dear! Take a seat on the sofa, I will come to join you in just a second. Jack go prepare tea for the lady."

Wow. He still kept up the nice Marquis act up with his servants. A young butler dressed in a black suit bowed before answering.

"Yes my lord."

The butler glared at me before leaving the room. I glared back. What the h.e.l.l was that all about?

"All of you please leave me and Miss Mila."

The servants nodded before glaring at me. What the h.e.l.l is up with all of these people? Actually I understand why they're acting like this. I might seem like someone who doesn't deserve to marry their precious John. But whatever I'm not really going to marry the f.u.c.ker. The Marquis walked over and sat on the sofa opposite to me. As usual the butler came in and gave set our teas in front of us. I waited for the Marquis to take his tea cup as usual.

"Mr. Marquis these meetings of yours are getting quite annoying."

The Marquis chuckled as he set down his tea cup and sat back on the sofa.

"Oh? My future daughter in law is already sick of me?"

I chuckled. What a smooth old geezer. I sipped from my tea and set it down on the table. I then looked up at the Marquis and said.

"What do you want after today's conversation?"

The Marquis scratched his cheek before saying.

"I would like to be a.s.sured that you honestly love my son. To be honest I don't give a rat's a.s.s about love. But if I find out that you are engaged to him just for the sake of distracting me then there are consequences that are better left unsaid."

I tried to hide my surprise. How did this old f.u.c.ker figure it out? s.h.i.+t. I need to get myself out of this situation and fast. I clenched my fists and looked back at him with a smile. Let my acting skills sweep you away Marquis.
