The Twisted Two: The Feisty And The Docile 182 Edible Flowers

Ungrateful evil man! She had cooked for him almost every day since last months!

Next time she cooks for him, she will make sure he gets food poisoning!

She was really hungry. In antic.i.p.ation to see her parents, she hadn't even done proper breakfast and it was past dinner but if she went out now and ate, that Yu Youhan will sneer at her in mock and maids will laugh at her behind her back.

She would be a laughing stock! No, no, no, She couldn't let that be! She huffed. 

Even if she decided to call take-out, she had no money on her and all her cards were in the Lu Mansion. Lu Xinyi whined in frustration.

She sat up on the bed and huffed. She was still angry but her stomach doesn't know the matter of egos!

Next time when she is throwing a tantrum, she would do it by burning his closet with gasoline instead of a useless hunger strike! She bet that would be more effective!

She should go in his room, shake him awake and shout at him to try to convince her for eating! But then what about her ego?!

Lu Xinyi picked the pillow from behind her and stuffed her face in it and shouted in it. Stifling her cries of frustration. That was when her stomach growled in protest again.

She stood up pacing the room. She looked around the room for anything to eat when her eyes landed on the different kinds of flowers in the vase and she licked her lips.

Flowers are plants and aren't plants edible?

She went to the vase and took out a red rose from it. She opened her mouth to eat it when the door opened with the thud.

There stood Yu Yaouhan regal as ever. Lu Xinyi at once closed her mouth and hid the flower behind her back and closed her mouth but Yu YOuahn had seen her.

He looked at her in astonishment and disbelief, all his anger flushed, "What were you doing?"

Lu Xinyi turned red in embarra.s.sment. There goes all her att.i.tude and self-respect! 

But ignoring her situation Lu Xinyi shrugged her shoulder and brought the rose in front of her, "Sni...sniffing. I was sniffing the flowers." She patted the rose's delicate petal and gave an awkward smile avoiding eye-contact, "Yeah. What else you can do with flowers? I was just sniffing."

Yu Youhan looked at her going red in embarra.s.sment and narrowed his eyes, "By any chance, you were about to eat it?"

Lu Xinyi reddened further, her blush spread to her neck at being caught red-handed and she huffed in anger, "Why would I? Youhan, don't get ahead of yourself! Why would I eat it, I am not Tarzan living in the jungle!"

Corner of Yu Youahn lip turned up in a smirk, "Well, that's what I thought. Why would anybody but a Tarzan eat flowers from a vase? Right?"

Lu Xinyi gritted her teeth and barked, "Right!" 

He was taunting her, she wanted to smack that handsome smirk off his chiselled face! That's it! She is going to call an exorcist and descend this evil back to h.e.l.l!

What if she wanted to take a bite?! They are edible!

With his amused smile still intact he walked to her and took the rose from her hand and arranged it back in the vase then looked inside the vase for any eaten flower.

None. Good!

At the same time, the Butler brought the delicious light dishes in the room on a food-trolley. Lu Xinyi at once turned at the smell of the delicious food and had the urge to cry happy tears.

Yu Youahn looked around the room in an inspective way. He nodded once a.s.sured that she hadn't chewed the pillows or swallowed the sheets.

He turned to her with a smirk, "I am sure 'sniffing' flowers would have calmed your nerves."

Lu Xinyi felt like she was going to get busted by the fury building in her. She gave him a tight smile and gritted, "It did."

Yu Youhan nodded not at all hiding his growing smirk. "Then you must be ready to eat now that you have let your anger go?"

Lu Xinyi bowed her arms on her chest and huffed, moved her eyes sideways in att.i.tude and inspected her manicured nails, "Hmph! If you are 'begging' me like that I will eat something."

Yu Youhan chuckled and sarcastically bowed his head slightly, "I am grateful for your mercy."

Lu Xinyi nodded then sat in front of the table where the Butler was arranging food, at once her stomach growled and Lu Xinyi eyes widened and face reddened in embarra.s.sment.

Yu Youhan involuntary chuckle left his mouth. Lu Xinyi glared at the food in front of her to evoke such a reaction. She seethed, "Don't get any ideas."

Yu Youhan nodded his head pursing his lips to stop grinning, "Of course. I won't." 

Lu Xinyi huffed, and said haughtily, "If it wasn't for me feeling bad about you worrying about me, I would never eat grain from the house of a man who doesn't know how to behave with a lady!"

She stuffed her face with everything she could put her hand on, ignoring his presence once and for all.

Lu Xinyi looked at him with her stuffed mouth, still standing, a smugness rose in her chest. Was he standing to apologize? Hmph! She wasn't going to make it easy for him.

With a hardly suppressed proud expression, she chewed the dumpling and waved her hand at him, "Go! I will think about forgiving you later."

Yu Yoauhn took a seat beside her and chuckled, "I haven't eaten anything too. I thought you would invite your server."

Lu Xinyi mouth clamped shut and she looked everywhere but at him.

She wished she was an ostrich and could bury her head in the ground at the mortification. It was so embarra.s.sing that Lu Xinyi turned as red as a tomato.

Why was she too good at making a fool out of her. She sewed her mouth shut to not embarra.s.s herself any further for the night.
