"Lei Xinyi." Recognition flashed in Lu Sheng eyes. The very same girl who became an imposter to his sister and who was pregnant with Li Yuan's baby.

He Zheng excluded the part where Lei Xinyi called all the best hackers from the continent to teach him and then sent him out of the continent to explore. When he showed interest in computers, she supported him with fever even a real parent wouldn't.

He didn't stay a disciple of any of them for more than one month. He was set at excelling them all. Every accomplishment of his brought a proud smile on Lei Xinyi's face and he did all that to see that wonder and pride in her eyes.

She was his drive for life but unlike Su Qing, he knew how to channel his emotions. Right now he was channelling his grief to rage.

Lu Han looked at him in wonder and amazement like he was a mirage in a deserted land, "Man, you are a genius! Why are you not in a world record or something?!"

He Zheng shrugged, "Well, you see, some people don't really like flash-lights. Ren preferred that way for safety purposes."

"Your parents would have been proud of you."

A shadow pa.s.sed before his eyes before a melancholic smile etched on his face and he shook his head, "They wouldn't be." 

He again went back on his laptop to proceed with his work, Lu Sheng frowned at the change in expression on the young boy's face but didn't comment.

Su Qing was welcomed by his mother like her own daughter. Right now too they were in some spa getting treated. Lu Xinyi was there too.

But the boy was more than he let meet one's eye. He was deceptive and clever. He was typing again G.o.d-knows-what.

Lu Sheng stood up from his seat and went behind He Zheng couch to see what he was doing. He Zheng was submerged in his work to the extent, he didn't register the movement.

"f.u.c.k!" Lu Sheng shouted in astonishment looking at the screen and s.n.a.t.c.hed the Laptop in a matter of seconds.

"What the f*ck?!" He Zheng stood up and faced him with confusion and annoyance.

"Yo...You!" Lu Sheng choked in disbelief, "You are sitting in an Ex-general Mansion and hacking in the Main Frame of the Army's Base?!"

He Zheng rolled his eyes and shrugged, "It's not the first time. I just need a file. I mean no harm!"

Lu Sheng snorted at the irony, "You are stealing data from the government and you mean no harm?!"

He Zheng narrowed his eyes and bristled. He was just borrowing a file, Okay! He just needed to know the whereabouts of the Lei's heirs. The only way was to know who they were first! He hardly knew about two others if Lu Xinyi was one.

The Lei's were in an exile and so were their descendants and as the Game Of Heirs was taking place in China, he was certain all of them were in the country illegally. There was an 85% chance that Lei Xinyi disappearance has something to do with them. They all f*cking despised her!

They were all living illegally in the country. The government kept records of such people, even if they kept their silence. So all he needed was the list of illegal residents to see who were the possible suspects who might have Lei Xinyi captive!

He Zheng leapt forward and tried to take the laptop but Lu Sheng wasn't having it, "What man?! Let me be in peace!" He sighed resigned and looked at Lu Sheng, "Ok, Man!! Tell me what you want?"

Lu Sheng looked at him in judgement for a good minute then smirked, "Get me the encoded files on the Yu's from the Elite's Base."

He Zheng eyes shot up, and he looked at him suspiciously. "Yu Youhan? What do you want with him?"

Since the takeover of Li Yuan and Yu Youhan, even the Head of the Lei Family wouldn't flutter either of their's feathers. They were vicious and relentless. Their tactics varied but they sure as h.e.l.l strikes with the same vehemence. 

And for the matter of fact, even they wouldn't have anything on them. If you really wanted dirt on them then you have to dive in their mainframe computer which was second to impossible.

Even if someone was able to do it, which was not possible for the record, they would track you then have your head. So what was this Young man trying to do?

"That's none of your business, just your part of the deal." Lu Sheng gave the Laptop and turned to leave.

He Zheng eyes sparkled as a thought strikes him like thunder, "Is it about your sister?"

Lu Sheng stiffened then went away without replying.

He Zheng was about to follow him to extract some information when his untraceable phone rang. He looked at the caller and left the Lu Mansion in a hurry.

He could feel his wits leaving him in antic.i.p.ation, he was like walking on the air as he ran past houses after houses. 

In a considerable distance in an empty alley, he called back on the same number. The phone ringed twice before the call was cut from the other side.

He Zheng leaned against the wall and waited.

A man with a long black coat entered and extended his hand in front of He Zheng.

Not much could be seen of his face from the big collars of his long coat and the hat that accompanied it, but only a fine sharp tanned jaw and a pair of hazel orbs.

He Zheng eyes hardened and he scoffed, "You are not getting anything before you give what I came here for, Dear Uncle!"

"Very Well, Nephew!" The man leaned against the opposite wall and sighed "I was drunk with my lover. When she called I was in his hotel room."

"You didn't think of informing me then?" He Zheng stood up straight in alarm and his face reddened in fury, "And you were comfortable talking some cla.s.sified information with him in the room?! You are unbelievable!"

The man fisted his hands and bristled, "He is your uncle-in-law so hold your juvenile tongue, you brat!" He shrugged in annoyance, "And apart from that, he was out cold."

He Zheng snorted, "No, first off he is some foreign a.s.s you are hooking up with!" He Jin gave him a dirty look then rolled his eyes knowing his nephew words held volume, "How many are we against?"

He Jin smugly raised his six fingers, "Yu Youhan, Master Lu, Old Master Li, Lu Sheng, Yu w.a.n.g and the Li Yuan. They are all looking for Lei Xinyi but of course, The King of the Underworld, the Li's heir is leading the chase. He is got more resources above and under the table and then he seems to have taken a particular liking to your slu...I mean, beautiful sister. He almost seems desperate."

He Zheng nodes and looked at the sky in thought. Then he sharply turned to his Uncle when a thought struck him, "The Lei's haven't sent a search party in China?"

He Jin shook his head seriously, "Not a bird's feather. It's all clear. It seems the Lei's Patriarch finally lost interest in her or..."

"They have her. Or in other words, a Lei's heir they have chosen to their dirty work is holding Lei Xinyi captive." He Zheng completed for him. He Jin nodded in agreement.

He Zheng considered all the options above. Each one above had their own reasons to look for her but Li Yuan was the most powerful and influential without discrimination. 

There was no way he could find Lei Xinyi against the whole Lei clan but Li Yuan could. He was a match and maybe even above them but the problem was, Li Yuan was like a trump card, neutral.

The war was going on where he was staying. He Zheng just need to lead him there and he will have Lei Xinyi and then Lei Xinyi will deal with Li Yuan on her own.

He Zheng took out the USB with the data of all the s.h.i.+pment records for the last three decades and handed it to He Jian and was about to leave when He Jin held his wrist.

He Zheng turned to him with a raised brow in question.

He Jin tiredly sighed, "The time for the war is nearing. End this madness. Let's go home...Lei Xinyi would want you to be in a safe zone when the chaos breaks loose and... everyone at home misses you."

He Zheng heart turned cold at the word home, he tugged his wrist away, "Home..." He shook his head with a humourless dry chuckle, "She is home and family. It's my war too till when Lei Xinyi will fight it alone?"
