The Demon King's Cowardly Vessel 19 I Was Righ

Mrs. Martin and Wesley left not long after Juin fell asleep. However, the moment they left the hospital, Juin opened his eyes. He then slowly pushed himself up so that he was sitting up on his bed.

He then slowly looked over at the half-naked guy who was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed and his eyes closed.

Juin had noticed the man when he opened his eyes earlier, but when he realized that no one else was able to see him, Juin decided not to mention it. If this were in the past, he would have been scared out of his wits. But now, he knew who that man was.

The arrogant expression, those thick eyebrows, the way he sat that indicated royal bearing… and the fact that he still refused to put on a s.h.i.+rt...

"Lucifer…" Juin called out. "Your Majesty…"

Lucifer, who had his eyes closed, opened his bright-red eyes and looked at Juin with a piercing gaze. He noticed that Juin was looking at him directly, so he asked, "Can you see me now?"

Juin nodded. "Clearly…"

���You were out for a long time," Lucifer said as he floated over to stand next to Juin's bed. "I have to say… Your body is weaker than I thought."

"Is that what's going to happen every time you take over my body?" Juin asked, somewhat worried. If that happened every time, his life might be in a lot of danger.

Lucifer thought for a while before nodding. "Probably. We need to get your body trained. And your soul."

To his surprise, Juin's soul was completely unconscious as well. When Juin was unconscious, Lucifer thought that he could communicate with him in the empty world that Juin created, which he still thought was part of his dream. However, when he got there, he found that Juin's soul was still hanging in midair, with no consciousness whatsoever.

Eventually, Lucifer figured that happened because he completely drained the human's physical and soul strength.

However, Lucifer also noticed something weird. The invisible shackles that were around Juin's ankles and wrists had some changes in them. Previously, Juin was in midair with his arms slightly raised and his legs slightly apart, which was how Lucifer noticed the invisible shackles. But now… one of them seemed to have disappeared into thin air as Juin's right arm was now dangling off his side instead of being slightly raised in the air.

So, when Juin was unconscious, Lucifer had been watching his soul, trying to figure out what caused the change.

However, even after spending hours, he could not figure things out. What were those shackles about, and why did one of them disappear now? Was it because of the merge, the contract, or was there something else?

"Your Majesty, where do you think Luca is now?" Juin asked. He was extremely worried about Luca, and he kept feeling that the guy was still plotting to kill him.

Lucifer glanced at him and shrugged. "No idea… Somehow, he still had the strength to float himself out right before help arrived. It's all your fault!"

Now that he had gotten more strength from the contract, he was actually capable of existing outside of Juin's mind and consciousness, but Juin was still the only one who could see him. So, in a sense, he was both dependent and independent of his vessel.

Earlier, he tried to do some experiments. He left Juin's side and tried to go as far as he could, but at the moment, he could not move more than 10 ft away from him. Anything more than that, and he would end back next to Juin again.

Juin frowned. "How… is it my fault?"

Lucifer folded his arms as he glared at Juin, as if he was seriously blaming Juin for letting Luca escape. "It's because you're too weak! Otherwise, I could have killed him with one punch! An insignificant bug like him? One flick is all I need…"

"I'm sorry…" Juin apologized, even though he wasn't sure why he was apologizing.

"Why the f*ck are you apologizing now?!" Lucifer snapped at him. "Urgh! F*ck, I need someone stronger to be my vessel! Izzy, were you angry at me because I was flirting with those women?!"

A few days before they set off for the mission, Izzy caught Lucifer flirting with some women from the Fox Clan when he was supposed to be working. Even though he was the demon king, she still beat him up so badly.

He felt that Izzy might have chosen this weak vessel for him as part of his unfinished punishment.

While Lucifer was going through some issues of his own, Juin looked at him, wondering if the guy had some more extra loose screws in his head.

"Lucifer…" Juin called out. He then recalled that he was talking to a crazy demon king, so he quickly amended his words and asked in a more respectful tone, "Your Majesty, what should we do now?"

"Once you leave this place, we will do some experiments," Lucifer replied gruffly. He had some plans to train Juin's physical body as well as his soul. Lucifer felt that it would be easy to train Juin's physical body. All he needed to do was to raise Juin's stamina as well as to teach him how to fight.

Given their last merge, Lucifer deduced that he would have about 5 minutes to control Juin's body, provided if he did not use too much of his own power. When he was at the basketball court, he might have gone crazy a bit and had forgotten about his vessel's weak body.

"Hmm…" Lucifer suddenly thought of something, and he looked down at Juin with such a nefarious expression that the latter s.h.i.+vered slightly.

"W-what…" Juin stuttered as he edged over to the side slightly. "I'm into girls… Just so you know…"

When he realized what Juin was insinuating, Lucifer scoffed, "That scrawny body of yours can't tempt sh*t."

Then without warning, he reached out and grabbed Juin's wrist. His action startled Juin so much that he nearly pushed himself off the bed to get away from Lucifer. However, he could not get away from the guy.

"Wh-What do you want?!" Juin snapped as he looked up at Lucifer, still trying to pull his hand away.

"I was right," Lucifer said with a smirk before letting Juin���s wrist off.

THUD!

Juin fell right out of bed and landed on the hospital floor with a loud thud.

"Argh…" he groaned as he rubbed his backside and shoulder while looking up at Lucifer with dissatisfied expression, which he quickly replaced with fear when Lucifer started to laugh like a mad man.
