Looking at myself in the mirror, the interface opened as soon as I concentrate my thoughts into it.
I navigated through and look for Status Screen, focusing on it once again.
And then, my Status opened.
Status [Level 0] Progress: 0%
Name: [None] / Occupation: Mage / Cla.s.s: Single Path / Religion: [None]
Health: 100/100 / Mana: 350/350 / Stamina: 150/150
Strength: 2 / Vitality: 2
Dexterity: 5 / Resistance: 1
Intelligent: 5 / Faith: 5
a.s.sessing every detail of it, to see if it's done correctly… and it did.
'Hum-hum not bad, if I do say so myself. Maybe I should put more in Vitality?'' I thought, 'No, this is enough... probably.'
The reason why I filled every stat is that, with 0 stats…
Well you just dumb if you put 0 on any of these stats, even Min-Maxing requires you to do this. At least in this game, that is indeed the case…
Countless people at the beginning of the game chose to Min-Max their stats. Well, obviously it's because that is the most optimal thing to do.
I mean, I am going to Min-Max as well.
But, there are essentials that people have missed and chose to ignore.
Wands or Staffs will still need Strength, and at minimum, you need at least 1 in Resistance to be able to have a chance in reducing Negative Effects such as burning and chilled. Vitality is required for Recovery, I need that.
It's important to have Vitality since it's increased all Attributes regeneration
Last but not least, 5 Dexterity, it is essential, many players aside from the Rogue cla.s.s made this mistake. They couldn't figure out why they can't dodge, they thought Dodge are exclusive for Rogue or a.s.sa.s.sins… stupid.
Increasing Dexterity also increased movement speed.
Intelligent and Faith are my main stats, why Faith even though I'm not a Priest. Well, it's because there are spells out there that require and scales with Faith.
Most of those are hybrid spells, such as [Lava Quake] Stomping the ground will shatter it to pieces, creating multiple lava substances. That spell is a combination of Pyromancy and Geomancy, which required Intelligent AND Strength.
I didn't up my Strength too much, because I know that I won't need it so soon in the early game.
Of course, I chose [Wind Creation] as starter ability, there are 3 Option; Fire, Water, and Wind. The fire might be a better option in terms of battle power, but [Wind Creation] is the most useful one from my experience.
It can be used to create a globe just to reduce cold temperature, making a barrier that can s.h.i.+ft projectiles, and many more.
One that stood out is that, with enough knowledge… one can use [Wind Creation] to breathe underwater. Yes, the cheapest spell and it outweigh the tier 4 [Water Breathing] spell.
As I was deep in thoughts, my Status became blurry as I see my face radiating its beautiful features.
'Ahh, I keep getting distracted because of this face…'
'Mm…'
Gazing at myself intensely, all of a sudden, as I look at the bottom side of the reflection…
I saw Malice… slowly creeping out behind me with her sharp eyes.
All of my hair stood up, "Hiiieee!!"
*Bam*
I quickly turned around with my back against the mirror, Malice herself also got startled because of it. After taking a breath, I spoke, "Sorry, I was deep in thought, and you just…"
She shakes her head; it looks like she didn't get bothered by it, I know I was so rude just now, so I apologize once again, properly this time. She then pointed her finger on my forehead, and it glows so brightly for a moment.
A Notification appeared.
[Appraisal]: Gain the Ability to Inspect
'Unlike Active Skill, Pa.s.sive doesn't cost anything or has any limitation to use.'
It was quite perceptive of her to give it to me, knowing that I need it.
"T-Thank you," I said.
She nodded.
Malice lifted her arms, handing me a bag. It was a set of clothing.
It's a type of a priestess attire but in goth-like appearance, black color with see-through mesh and lining of silver, subtle black shoes along with black arm wraps, and naked backside. She also gave me a necklace.
The name aside, it's quite good.

Looking at them closely, the clothes are good. But, Abyss-Related Damage… That's weird, I only encounter a few that uses such attack and one of them being Ludwig, but… hmm, something is a bit… unsettling, err… off.
'Hmm, I don't know if I should be happy or not but…' I thought, 'Ah well, it's not like I have any other choice'
And so, I wear it right away, and it's surprisingly comfy. Looking back at Malice, I present myself in awkward movement and open arms, "T-Tada…"
*clap *clap *clap
Clapping as she nodded.
Malice approached me closer, so close that I can feel her ma.s.sive jugs pressing up against me.
I can smell her overwhelmingly seductive scent. Lifting my chin up, she kissed me in a really addicting way with our tongue intertwined with each other as we swap our saliva.
*Mwah*
She pulled out and then smooch me again, but lightly. She held my arm and then we went back to the Library. Malice left as soon as we enter the premise and went back to Ludtleth.
Looking around the place I noticed something, there are many books here.
Well, of course, there are. It's a library after all, what else is there.
*Zzzzssst*
"Ouch"
As soon as I touched them, it zaps me.
I sighed as I come to a realization. Unfortunately, I can't "Access" these books, because my current standing with them is not enough for me to see any of these books.
'Still, I hope I can see them one day' I thought.
I might not look like it— well I do actually, books have always been something that I'd just spend my whole day, just to finish them.
All of these books have unique cover, and it's so detailed too. I'm sure each one of these contains crucial, most important knowledge (?) about this world.
I stopped looking around and went back to see Ludwig. There is something I want to talk with him, I need to clear this up.
This, 'Pain?' in my heart.
And there he is, sitting so majestically as he hold that book. 'K Goes to Another World?' what the heck is this, some kind of Ads for a s.h.i.+tty novel?
(d.a.m.n, woman. I work hard brainstorming for that s.h.i.+t! No, wait. What the h.e.l.l am I saying!! Suddenly,*Bam*, a b.u.mp on the creator's head as he fell to the ground. K appeared and drag him away, she turned slightly and then, she bow deeply to the audience and continue to drag the creator's away.)
"You have returned. Are you ready... to go back to the Surface?" said Ludwig.
Thinking about it. Surely, I would want to go back right away, but there is something I want to talk with him, and it's been on my mind for a long time now.
Nervously holding my arm, I shook my head and said, "Ludwig, there is something I want to say. It's important. C-Can we talk somewhere else?"
"Hurmph, quite bold of you to say that" he said.
"… Please."
"…"
Him not responding is quite nerve-wracking. I wonder if he's worried that I might kill him or something, no, that can't be. I'm sure he already knows that I won't be able to do it… let alone beat, I wouldn't be able to touch him.
He slowly rose up from his seat, looking at me in the eye.
There is a moment of silence between us, but then…
He lift his hand, forming his bony fingers ready to flick, but then he snapped it.
*T-w-o-o-o-m-p-!*
