"Thank you for the gift. I am a little sleepy at this time so I hope that you do not mind if I go and lay down for a little bit." Amelia smiled and kept herself from bowing.

"Amelia, dear. You do what is right for you. Anytime that you need to rest please do so." Edna patted her hand.

"Gabriel, I will come when Miyuki asks for me. I know it has been a long night for you as well so you should rest." Clarence turned to Amelia, "Rest up well and I will see you in a bit." 

Miyuki cleaned up their spot and brought the two trays up. She followed them into the hallway. 

Gabriel looked at Miyuki, "Can you see if the snack you bring for Amelia is more of that dessert that was made. She really enjoyed it." 

"Yes, Of course, I can. I am happy that you asked. I was going to check to see if there was any more." Miyuki smiled and went to the kitchen.

"Gabriel walked to his room and opened the door. He pulled out a vase and placed it in the hallway. He then went to the closet and pulled out the picture that Miyuki hid and set it back up and uncovered it. "This is how I saw you on the day of our separate marriage meetings. I haven't finished it but I wasn't expecting that you would be living with us." He grabbed the sketching supplies. 

Amelia touched the painting. "It is a shame you couldn't pursue this talent. You have such amazing skills. Not that I do not want you to become a doctor as you are amazing at that too." 

"I get just what you are saying, Dear. I will still paint but it will be only for you now. I will be your personal doctor and take care of you." Gabriel came up behind her and gave her a short hug but his head was resting on her shoulder. He turned to look at her.

At the same time, Amelia turned her head and their lips touched. She moved away and was blus.h.i.+ng deeply. "I'm sorry I was just going to look at you and then our lips connected." Her face goes red as she blushes deeply. 

Gabriel held out his hand to her. "It is okay. One day we will both get used to it. He placed her hand on his chest. "Just like you this makes me nervous. My heart races only when I am with you. Only you can make me feel this way." 

Amelia felt his heart racing in his chest. "I am surprised that you feel the same way that I do. I-I did not know." She didn't pull her hand away.

"How could you know how I feel. I am new at this relations.h.i.+p thing. Nathaniel always said that I needed more experience and I did not think that it was all that important as if I truly wanted to do something about it I could choose any one of the girls that have confessed to me but as soon as I laid my eyes on you all the others paled in comparison. No one was able to compare to you." Gabriel smiled and took her hand and led her back to her room. 

Amelia was blus.h.i.+ng at his spur of the moment confession. She walked behind him wondering how she could be so lucky. When they arrived in the room Miyuki was in there moving the bedding around. She was plaguing the one by the window. "Thank you, Miyuki after that you are free to help out the others." 

"Thank you, Amelia. Since Gabriel is here I will take my leave. If you need anything else please let me know." Miyuki bowed and as she was leaving the room.

Gabriel turned and said, "If you do not mind. I have placed a vase in the hallway. If you could fill it with water and place the flowers in the vase for now. I will let Amelia arrange them tomorrow." He watched as Miyuki nodded and left the room. "Are you okay with being so close to the doorway?" 

"The breeze that comes in for the outside world is very nice. I like to watch the sakura petals blow in the wind." Amelia laid inside the bedding and looked up at Gabriel. Besides, this will keep Inari from trying to break in." 

"Ah, yes that is a good point and with you being unwell. I am okay with the door being left open. I think that the air will be good for you." Gabriel moves a set of bedding to beside her and sits down. He pulled out his sketchbook and started to sketch Amelia in the s.h.i.+ne. 

Amelia gave Gabriel one more glance before she closed her eyes and fell asleep. 

Gabriel looked over at her and saw that she had fallen asleep rather quickly. He smiled and pulled the blanket up and then laid down next to her. "I lied when I said I was fine. Adrenaline was fueling me but now I just want to rest." He pulled up the blanket and closed his eyes. Soon he was fast asleep.

Inari sneaks into the room, he looked at the two sleeping humans and grinned. He hopped back to the mountain after leaving. 

Amelia was the first to wake up and she looked over and saw that Gabriel was sleeping next to her. She didn't want to disturb him so she quietly got up and went to the bathroom. She did her business and went back into the room. She saw that Gabriel was still resting so she decided not to disturb him and sit down at the table.

Miyuki came to the room with the snacks and came into the room quietly. She saw Amelia and started grinning. "I see that Gabriel has finally fallen asleep. I swear that he will work himself to the bone. You will have to stop him. I brought you more mochi ice cream. k.u.ma was really happy that you liked it and said that he will make it again."
