Once Caesar left Musas.h.i.+'s personal training grounds, he headed towards Ahri's room with a calm expression, he wasn't in the least bit frustrated from once again, not being able to touch Musas.h.i.+. In fact, Caesar was pleased, he knew the rate at which he progressed better than anyone.
Unlike the sword, he felt much more free with the scythe, unfortunately, there were no manuals or schools that taught the more advanced techniques. However, with Musas.h.i.+'s help, alongside his already superior intelligence, creating effective techniques shouldn't pose to be too much difficulty.
Caesar lifted his right hand while walking and unleashed a tad bit of his mana, soon, a small stream of blue coiled around his index finger. Although his physique hadn't upgraded in the slightest since his last bout with the rampaging Joe, his power had still increased, albeit, it wasn't a dramatic increase. Nonetheless, it was a discernible amount.
A smile suddenly blossomed on Caesar's lips as he controlled the small strand of mana to twirl around the palms of his hands… 'if my theory is correct, the reason behind why my vampiric body has not evolved is mainly because of my insufficient knowledge, with power comes responsibility, as I evolve, my mana becomes more rich and abundant. If I don't learn to control it now, when I become stronger, it will be harder to learn and control' Caesar mused to himself and looked to the sky.
'I have no idea who gave me this vampiric body, nor the ice affinity, alas, those things are far from my current grasp… their power is still incomprehensible to the current me, however, one day… I will figure out why I, in particular, transmigrated to this world'
While still in deep thought, he soon reached the front of Ahri's room, well, at this point, it could be considered their room. He gently turned the doork.n.o.b and walked inside the pitch black room. He, who was already s.h.i.+rtless, walked into the bathroom to wash the sweat off of his body.
*splash*
He lazily scrubbed his body for a few minutes before drying himself and stepping back into the room, he took out a robe from his storage ring and wore just a simple pair of cloth undergarments.
Caesar crawled into the right side of the bed, making sure he didn't wake the loudly snoring Ahri who was on the left, who somehow, was still sleeping… he smiled wryly and got in a comfortable position before drifting off to sleep.

In a distant place, far away from the current Caesar, a woman with wavy black hair was currently writing on a few parchments. The dimly lit candles to the side barely illuminated her grave expression as she wrote each word.
"d.a.m.n that devilish looking duke's son, no, he's the crown prince now isn't he?" Veronica whispered to herself.
In front of her, were important doc.u.ments for the Evernight business that Caesar had planned to create… Underground weapon's manufacturers were highly sought after by illegal businesses or rebels, h.e.l.l, even kingdoms and the church purchased weapons from them, that is if the price was right.
As per request, Veronica had sent a few samples to the rebel army that she had informed Caesar of, and as expected, they were a great success, not only did they buy more weapons, they even overthrew the kingdom with them, creating large waves in that particular kingdom and those around it.
"Who made these weapons?"
"We need to recruit this masterful engineer!"
And like wildfire, many different forms of gossip spread throughout the continent, however, with veronica's skills, she made Caesar's ident.i.ty, and location relatively hidden. Alas, with popularity, comes more revenue alongside trouble.
The weapons were surely revolutionary, but, that wasn't the main cause of the ruckus, once a few capable engineers got their hands on the weapons, they would certainly be recreated within the next few months or years, however, what the influential people were raving about was the engineer's genius, if he did it once, he would do it again. What would happen if he was their personal engineer? The mere thought of this made the search for Caesar even more widespread.
The business offers and requests filled up Veronica's entire schedule, and without Caesar's permission, as he was the chairman of the company, or rather, the owner, she couldn't accept any offers and could just merely accept some small orders while also directing the employee's to continue ma.s.s producing the crossbow, ballistae, and trebuchet.
Veronica scrunched up the paper in her hands and ground her teeth angrily, "that d.a.m.n b.a.s.t.a.r.d disappeared on us when we needed him most, this is the early stages of the business! When he gets back, I swear I'll resign, yes… I'll resign!" she spoke to herself in a crazed manner, soon, her eyes rested on the large bag of coins in the corner of her room.
This was her share of the money gained from the current weapon orders, without taxation, the amount of money she gained in these last few months was double her normal annual salary… the expression on her face soon calmed as she sat back in her chair.
She tapped the desk in a rhythmical manner as she peered down on a small piece of paper, it was much cleaner and elegant than the papers around it… the sides of it were decorated with coiled dragons while the text was printed in a deep red color.
'To the Earl of War, we are pleased to invite you to the council of 'Requiem' as our 8th member, as you probably have already heard, we are a council that works in the underground, hidden in the cracks and crevices, far from human eyes. We will not only help hide your ident.i.ty, but you will also obtain an equal ranking amongst us, as a member. This, of course, is not for free, as you will become a new branch amongst our council, you will naturally need to supply us with a minimum amount of supplies every year. And I'm sure, this wouldn't pose too much difficulty to a man of your esteem, granted, you will gain access to our connection in doing so, as well. Please do think about it, Yours truly - The Fool'
Veronica read parts of the letter out loud while just scanning through the rest, such as the location of where they needed to submit a reply. Her brows furrowed as she read the rest, "how did he get the attention of such big shots so quickly? This is both fortune and calamity" Veronica said with exasperation.
According to her limited knowledge, 'Requiem' was a big-time underground organization that dealt with many things, such as a.s.sa.s.sins, lawyers, and ever doctors, all of which was done illegally and completed without question. Their connections were vast.
Veronica once again frantically scratched her head, "unfortunately, the so-called Earl of War you sent a message too, is having a vacation with his bride!" she roared out with indignation and started to think of a way to respond.
-------------------
Caesar, who was currently sound asleep, would have no idea about Veronica's grievances. Soon, afternoon came, and the lights seeped into the room as if signaling to both Caesar and Ahri it was time to get up.
The afternoon light gleamed on Caesar's face as he pushed the covers aside and stood up, he stretched his limbs and yawned loudly...
Feeling Caesar's movement, Ahri also woke up, she had nearly slept for 24 hours since their 'session'... the physical taxation was clearly evident. She blinked her sleepy eyes as she slowly raised her upper body whilst covering her nude b.r.e.a.s.t.s with the sheets.
She looked similar to a sleeping cat, nestling close to the covers as she glanced around the room with curiosity until her sights landed on Caesar.
Caesar pulled back the hair draping over his eyes and sleeked it back, uncovering his elegant and handsome face… Seeing this, Ahri didn't have much of a reaction and walked to her nearby closet to get a set of clothes.
Noticing his attempt at seduction was a failure, Caesar chuckled dryly and walked into the bathroom, he briefly washed up and walked back out of the door just to see a red object fly toward his face.
Caesar raised his hands and caught the projectile out of reflex, contrary to his expectations, it was soft, he raised his eyes and looked at Ahri, who had clearly thrown this at him.
"Just wear it, I asked a few of my well-trained maids to make it for you… your height and width have already been accounted for" Ahri explained.
Caesar nodded his head and began to inspect the clothes Ahri had given him, it was a dark crimson kimono with a yellow flower pattern etched on to the chest area.
Caesar took off his current sleepwear and put the kimono on, he tied the sash and soon, he donned the kimono. it had a deep crease, fully showcasing his pecs and sagged slightly, giving him a more 'calming' atmosphere.
Ahri nodded her head excitedly, "mmhmm, I knew that you would look great in our ancestral clothing!" she said.
Caesar shook his head with a wry smile, he didn't quite like the unprofessional look it gave him, alas, if Ahri requested it, he didn't mind wearing the kimono every now and them.
He walked toward the door and turned the k.n.o.b, but as he was about to walk out, he looked as though he remembered something and turned to face Ahri.
"Ah, would you like to go adopt another child together?" he asked slyly.
