He looked up, the sky was filled with black clouds and flashes of light could be seen when lightning struck.
Caesar felt something damp pa.s.s by his feet so he looked down, shock filled his eyes as he saw the hundreds of thousands of bodies that littered the ground and the ocean of blood that flowed through the ground.
*CRASH*
The sound of a huge collision from far away invaded Caesar's ears, he raised his eyes and could feel the shockwaves from an intense battle up ahead.
Curiosity filled Caesar's eyes as he stepped towards where he heard the collision… After walking for what felt like an hour he finally saw the source of the sound.
Five figures were fighting each other, four of them were banding up against 1… three of the four had cloaks over their faces and Caesar couldn't make out their facial features… One of the four was a gigantic wolf.
The person they were fighting was a tall man with white hair slicked back and a well-groomed goatee… He had a monocle over his right eye, his most striking features were his piercing red eyes, pale white skin and long nails.
Caesar could see their lips moving but heard no sound… Suddenly the white-haired middle-aged man turned towards Caesar and smiled slightly.
Suddenly a splitting plain attacked Caesar's head, he put both hands on his head and roared in pain.
"Ahhhhhh"
Soon the pain stopped and Caesar opened his eyes again, that familiar roof entered into his eyes. He sat up from the bed and walked to the bathroom.
*splash*
He splashed some water on his face while breathing heavily… "what was that feeling" he whispered under his breath and frowned.
Sweat drenched his clothes, he removed his undergarments and prepared a bath for himself… Once the bath was prepared he stepped inside the tub and relaxed.
"Sigh, I wonder if those elves and humans are already fighting with each other" Caesar exhaled a warm breath and mumbled to himself.
*knock*
*knock*
"Are you alright? I heard screaming" Caesar heard Ahri's voice from behind the door.
"I-I need help," Caesar said in a fake pained tone
*creak*
The door was immediately pushed open and an anxious voice followed after "w-where are you, I will do what I can"
"I'm in here…" Caesar called out again.
*creak*
The bathroom door was pushed open and a frantic Ahri entered the room, Caesar stood up from the bathtub fully nude and smiled at her.
"Could you wash my back?" Caesar said slyly
"Y-you d.a.m.n pervert," Ahri said while covering her eyes with her hands… Caesars could see her blus.h.i.+ng and peeking through the gaps of her fingers.
"Haha, have you not seen enough?" Caesar laughed gently
Ahri realizing what she was doing quickly turned around and slammed the door, "you tricked me!" Caesar could hear Ahri's angry and frustrated voice from the bathroom.
*drip*
Caesar stepped out of the tub, drops of water fell from his long white hair as he walked towards a towel.
Caesar dried himself and walked out of the bathroom, Ahri was nowhere to be seen. Caesar smiled wryly and walked towards the closet and picked out a simple military outfit.
*creak*
Caesar stepped out of his room and headed towards the main halls in the manor… "looks like she already left the house?" Caesar thought to himself seeing the empty rooms.
Caesar shook his head slightly as he walked outside and headed towards the castle gates, the streets were once again bustling full of people… food, bandages, weapons, all sorts of things were being carried to and from the castle gates to help the soldiers.
Everyone saluted or looked at Caesar with respect as he pa.s.sed by.
"I heard he nearly stopped the enemy army himself," a village girl said with dreamy eyes
"Stop dreaming girl, he is out of our league" a middle-aged woman replied back with scorn
"Pft, maybe for an old woman such as yourself" the young girl replied angrily
Caesar smiled and walked by the two women, "It seems as though the people have gained hope again, they are quite energetic today." he thought inwardly while looking at the people on the streets.
Caesar soon made it to the kingdom gates and a captain immediately walked towards him and saluted.
"Sir, the enemy seems to be… fighting with each other?"
Caesar nodded his head and asked curiously "when did they start?"
"They should have started last night, the humans are getting the advantage though… they have much more numbers" the captain respectfully replied
"I see, order all of the troops to armor up" Caesar ordered after contemplating for a minute.
The captain looked at Caesar quizzically for awhile before saluting and yelling "yes, sir!"
Caesar walked up the kingdom walls with his hands behind his back, he peered down at the battle the humans and elves were engaging in while laughing quietly to himself.
"I suppose we should help our elf friends out a bit haha"
10 minutes later the same captain rushed towards Caesar while gasping for breath "sir, all of the uninjured knights are gathered up below"
Caesar nodded and walked down the castle gates with the captain, all of the knights saluted once they caught sight of Caesar.
"We greet the Marshall!"
Caesar nodded appreciatively and walked to the forefront of the lined up soldiers, he looked towards one of the captains and asked: "how many horses do we have?"
"Reporting sir, we have a maximum of 350 horses"
Caesar nodded his head and turned back towards the knights lined up in front of him "I need 350 volunteers to attack the enemies with me" Caesar said slowly.
Right as Caesar's words entered the soldier's ears one after another volunteered…
"I will fight with you Marshall!"
"I won't back down from a battle"
A few soldiers encouraged themselves as they walked to Caesar's side… in only a matter of a few minutes, 350 knight's had already volunteered.
Caesar looked at the rest of the knight's "stay here and defend the kingdom while we are gone"
"YES SIR!" the knights roared in reply.
*clak*
*clak*
A large number of horses were soon brought in by a few men, the knights didn't hesitate and immediately hopped a horse.
*snap*
Caesar snapped and a rack with his armor and spear was brought to him by a knight, Caesar put the armor on and hopped on the majestic white horse his knights naturally left for him.
Caesar pulled the reigns on his horse and turned around to face his knight's, he put one fist in the air and roared.
"Today we are going to show our enemies the might of the Rahvin kingdom!"
"AHHHHH" the knight lifted their right fists up and roared as well
Caesar pulled the reigns of his horse once again and made a dash outside the castle gates, the knights naturally followed and they soon entered an arrowhead formation with Caesar at its front.
*rumble*
The horses created a rumbling noise as they charged towards the enemy… The elves and humans were currently in a deadlock, both of their front lines weren't falling but the humans were pressuring the elves with their superior numbers.
The rumbling noises entered into the ears of the fighting troops casing them to s.h.i.+ft their attention to the source of the sound.
"What the h.e.l.l are they doing charging at us?" one of the captains from the enemy human army muttered in shock.
"s.h.i.+t! This isn't good defend from behind!"
"Ha, look at their small numbers… they will be no threat"
Caesar looked at the small number of enemy troops they sent to act as a meat s.h.i.+eld to stop him and his knight's.
The enemy spearmen put their spears forward and braced for impact.
"BREAK THROUGHHH!" Caesar roared
Caesar lifted his spear overhead and slashed down at the enemies in front of him, their heads flew in the air as their blood spilled like a fountain.
*CRASHH*
Caesar and his knights collided with the enemy ranks and ma.s.sacred everyone in their path with Caesar at it's front.
"Ahhhh"
"H-h-help, what the h.e.l.l"
The enemy soldiers screamed in horror as Caesar and the knights rushed through them, it was like a group of wolves running through a herd of sheep
Caesar and the knights headed straight for the middle of the enemy ranks with no end in sight, Caesar was aiming to disrupt their frontlines so the elves could push forward.
*clak*
*clak*
Caesar continuously slashed down at the enemy troops with his spear, he knew the knights would begin to tire soon…
"JUST A LITTLE FURTHER WE CAN'T LET THEM COLLAPSE ON US"
Caesar roared out, as long as they kept moving forward the enemy would not be able to regain their formation.
The knight's behind Caesar started to slightly slow down and the enemy soldiers to the right and left were starting to close in.
Caesar could see the ending of the enemy troops… "just a bit more… "just a bit more" he thought to himself.
"WERE ALMOST THERE, DON'T GIVE IN!"
"AHHHH" The knights roared as they used the last bit of energy the could muster to continuously swing their swords.
Caesar swung his spear one last time and finally, an open plain stood before his eyes…
