The travel back was even more silent. Amber had fallen asleep a few minutes after they continued their journey. She was now leaning on Ashton's shoulder. He had draped his jacket over her.

He was looking outside the window, deep in thought. Carl glanced to their side a few times before he decided not to speak.

The new resort's new location was now different, that is why he has an idea that Ashton might task him with a different thing after returning.

"Bro... ther..."

Amber's brows furrowed as she uttered this word but she doesn't seem like she would wake up either.

'Brother? She has a brother? A family or family friend?' Ashton just glanced at her before returning his eyes outside the window.

His grandfather told him on the phone, the day his and Amber's engagment became official. He can tell by his grandfather's tone and words that he knew Amber.

Maybe she told him when they left the office back the first time she spoke with him.

He decided not to bother with it for now, currently they are in a country away from those big ones. It's better to enjoy this limited time of peace and just focus on that when they arrive to Celestial Country.

"Go straight to University A, with her current state it is better for her not to meet them yet," he instructed and Carl could only nod his head.

Looking at her sleeping face, Carl couldn't help but to think that his young master was holding a big doll instead of a human. Her face truly resembles that of a doll, sometimes it still startles Carl when she suddenly appear in front of him.

He was just glad his reflex was not too much, if not he would have punched her already.

That's when he remembered how Amber knocked that kidnapper out and the teeth that was knocked out from that burly guy and the way the jewel of another were completely wrecked.

'She must know how to fight and her strength must be far different than how her body looks.'

After "interrogating" that kidnapper he found out that they were just little p.a.w.ns for this country. They were just tasked to kidnap n.o.ble childrens, it is up to the s.h.i.+p that should have arrived an hour after they arrived to the warehouse, where to bring this children.

The s.h.i.+p didn't arrive in the end for they must have seen that their p.a.w.ns were already taken into custody.

If this was a worldwide syndicate then surely the police from the main country are already looking into it. They didn't need to get too involved and just leave it to the authorities. They only brushed upon it due to the fact that Ashley was targeted.

Seeing how deep Amber was sleeping, Ashton could only carry her. He silently carried her to the elevator at the parking area of the Computer Science department building, this elevator leads to one floor, the top.

He carefully laid her to the bed in the room inside the office and covered her with the blanket, as he did his eyes went to her casted right leg and left arm.

'With her emotional disturbance and the fact that she was numb with pain, she actually walked without her crouches and grabbed my collar that hard.'

He shook his head and took out a new s.h.i.+rt and went to the bathroom.

After changing, he sat down on his chair behind the table.

"Carl."

Carl who was just outside the office came in.

"Call for people from the Ceres Country, get them to fix the hill up into a burial site for her parents remains. Don't disclose who those bones belong to, just let them dig it up and bury it properly."

"Yes, young master," he then left to make the preparations.

Just as he had thought, his young master has this idea.

'She didn't ask much in that contract, she had saved Ashley multiple times. This might be the only way I could help her as well.'

Upon waking up, Amber looked around, she can tell this was not her room. Then she remembered that she was just with Ashton.

'He could just have woken me up when we arrived at the hotel,' she thought as she welcomed herself to the bathroom.

Most of what was inside were obviously for men. She didn't bother and just looked at her reflection in the mirror.

'Or not. I guess not returning was the right choice. My eyes are too puffy right now, they'll just worry all over again if I appear in this appearance.'

She sighed and washed her face, trying to lessen the puffiness of her eyes.

'Tsk, I really want to remove this cast right now. It's really difficult to wash with only one hand,' she complained before noticing that her s.h.i.+rt was actually soaked by the way she washed her face.

'I guess I'll just be more thick faced.'

She walked out of the bathroom and opened the other door. She was first shock to see that she was actually inside his office.

"You're not living in a hotel or condominium?" she blurted out the moment she stepped out and Ashton looked up from his computer.

"Too bothersome," before he looked back on his computer.

"Hmmm, oh by the way. Can I be more thick faced?"

Ashton once again looked at her with questioning eyes.

"You see, I really am thankful you let me sleep in your bed. And upon waking up I just want to wash my face up. But since I can only use one hand, the way I did it was sloppy and got my s.h.i.+rt soaked. So can I borrow a s.h.i.+rt from you?"

Her face was innocent and not even a hint of embarra.s.sment.

Once again, Ashton couldn't help but be taken a back from her "switches", it seems that the girl from hours ago was just an illusion. Well if he was not there to experience it himself, he wouldn't believe it at all.

"You can just open the cabinet in there and get one yourself."

If Blake or the others were there, they would think that these two are weird. They only knew each other for a good month but they act like they have been acquaintances for so long already.

Amber was already used to being open and all so this was normal for her.

Ashton, on the other hand, already mentally have taken note that the person in front of him was his fiance. And the contract was already official, doing this was just right.

Yup, indeed the two of them are weird in how easily they can accept their own conditions. But if asked, Ashton would surely point at her as weirder. He still couldn't comprehend her "switches" after all.

He went back to work as she returned inside to get changed. She chose a simple dark blue Ts.h.i.+rt. Desipte him being only two years older than her, his ts.h.i.+rt was already big enough for her small stature.

It actually reached her mid thigh and since she was wearing a three fourth's jeans, for better movement due to her cast, she just looked like she was out for a walk with the get up.

She looked at her reflection and gave a thumbs up to herself, "Yup you really are beautiful."

She even smiled, being narcissistic is already inscribed within her.

With lighter steps, she started walking to the door and a mischievous idea came to her mind. That man always have a few face changes, furrowed brows or indifferent look. She never saw him be fl.u.s.tered or smile or even blush at that.

With an evil grin, she held the door k.n.o.b and opened the door.

"Love look your s.h.i.+rt is too big for me," she was all smiles after opening the door.

Ashton's brow slowly raised upon her endearment. Then the temperature slowly dropped.

"Oh love, you do know I love it more when it's cold right? We can cuddle together," she approached him and placed both her hands on top of his table and moved her face closer to his, three inches away.

She was grinning from ear to ear as she watch the change in his face closely but to her disappointment, nothing have changed. He only stared back at her with a raised brow.

*COUGH COUGH COUGH*

That's when she realized that there was someone else in the office. She looked back to see Devon staring at her with mouth agape, his hand holding a cup, hanging in mid air.

The one who was coughing strongly was Blake who actually splurted out his drink.

Even Carl who was standing on the side, was bowing down.

"Oh, there's visitors," she was not a bit ashamed of her mischief instead she even smiled at them.
