Lying on the ground with its head between its legs, its body trembling, the gigantic white tiger sheds a tear of despair.
It's himself a powerful demon animal and yet the poor beast had never witnessed anything so frightening.
Between those skeletal warriors who came out of the earth and those ghouls accompanied by a mult.i.tude of little red imp and armed with pitchforks who came out of the disgusting black circle, he knew that this time he could not escape its fate.
However, he would never have expected that he would witness "that"!
To the rhythm of the laughter of the little girl who applauds as she jumping on the spot, the creatures that came from nowhere run in all directions.
It's a real butchery!
The little red demons accompanied by skeletal warriors don't seem to want to take lives, but...
Man-eating spiders b.u.mp into each other after the creatures from the underworld steal their twelve eyes.
Goblins without their ears hold their heads and scream in pain.
Orcs without muzzles and many other monsters, all of which are deprived of a part of their anatomy...
h.e.l.l is here.
All the parts taken from the demonic animals are then thrown by the little devils into a sort of grey s.p.a.ce that sucks them in.
The smiling little girl, comes toward the giant tiger. Too scared of this cute little demon covered with dirt, the monster can't hold back any longer and p.i.s.ses on itself.
"You big cat, you don't smell so good, but that's okay. I like you very much and from today you'll be Hera's pet."
...
At the gate as well as on the ramparts of the small town of Griven, the soldiers are yawning with boredom. There is nothing glorious about their daily work.
Day after day, it essentially consists of checking the ident.i.ty of those who wish to enter this town in which no one is really interested.
Sitting in front of the big wooden gate, the four guards who are supposed to protect the entrance each throw a card on the ground.
"Yes, King Ca.s.sius, I've won again. Hey, what are you waiting for to give me my three bronze coins?"
His colleagues may have had a few drinks to pa.s.s the time, but that's usual, so why this silly expression on their faces?
The winner of the card game, turns his gaze a little gla.s.sy after the 6 liters of alcohol he ingested and seeing what's walking down the path to their city, his jaw threatens to drop.
…
Those dwarves are really grumpy as ever. Why don't they want her to have a nice, little companion too?
Hera has seen many women walking their dogs in the city. She has already seen young girls with magic animals in cages or in their arms, so why wouldn't she be allowed to own a cat?
"That's my cat! I know it smells bad and that its appearance isn't very graceful, but if I promise to wash and groom it, will you let it into the city?"
The beautiful demon tiger is about to fall. The soldiers are completely exhausted.
For over an hour they've been trying to explain to little Hera that a giant demoniac animal has no place in a city. That it would be too dangerous for humans to be in the presence of such a monster, but to their despair, the little girl doesn't understand anything.
"Hera, my darling, one of us has gone to look for the master of the adventurers guild. What do you say we wait until he gives us his opinion on the matter."
Hera applauds. If the dwarf Caius comes here, no doubt he'll agree to let her cute little cat come and live in his house.
…
"Hera, do you have big troubles in your little head? How do you expect this huge beast to sleep in your bed?"
Why is everyone is leaguing against her and her cat today? Earlier, Hera ran into half-naked Gina who swore at her and now the grumpy dwarf Caius is yelling at her."
"Since you won't let me have a pet, I'm running away. Forward stinking tiger."
What a stubborn little spoiled girl. The guild master rushes behind the unhappy-looking Tiger, who has just taken toward the forest.
Luckily, he's faster than the monster but...
"No, I'm running away and you, the bad dwarf, you stay here."
...he crashes into an extremely hard surface.
"Nasty, little pest! My nose p.i.s.sing blood. Hera, come back here or you won't get any chicken wings for a month."
Banned of chicken wings? No, that can't happen.
At this mere thought, Hera's hands, clinging tightly to the fur of the unhappy Giant Tiger, contract. She hesitates for a moment to free her cute, little pet, however, if she did, she knows she would become a failed runaway.
"I don't care, I'm a runaway who has her pride ."
Caius has long understood that the power within this child is immense. He also knows that if that that little girl more stubborn than a donkey she refuses to come back now, neither he nor anyone in this little town will be able to stop her in her runaway.
Actually, thinking her stubborn little angel will return quickly, Caius isn't too worried, however, not all the inhabitants of the kingdom are like those of his city and the majority of them, hate more than all the horned beings.
Moving in an instant from calm to rare anxiety because fearing for the safety of the child he already considers as his daughter, Caius quickly plunges his hand in the pocket of his trousers.
"Wait for Hera! If you're going to runaway, at least take this ring to hide your appearance of annoying little demon."
