Surprisingly, we both had the same taste when it came to food. Here and there, a few words would be exchanged between us. Alexei Plisetsky.... He isn't that bad at all. All the rumors I've heard of him weren't exactly true. He is kind and quite fun to be around. I'm probably thinking like this just because he is my blood related father.
Either way, I'm not planning of letting rumors ruin your building relations.h.i.+p. In the end, i am his daughter. It would look bad if we suddenly parted our ways just because of what i might have learned or heard about him - most of them even being false.
Humming lightly, I finished making lunch just as father came back home with my older half brother, Yuri. Serving the food onto three plates, I placed the plates on the dining table and walk back in the kitchen. I grab three cups from the cabinet and pour in pre-made lemonade.
Grabbing two of the cups, I turn around and nearly b.u.mp into Yuri. "Eek-!! Sorry!!"
Chuckling small, Yuri gently pats my head as he reaches over for the third cup. "It's okay. Don't worry too much. I should have let you know i was coming in lol."
Smiling small, I walk back to the dining table and place the cups in there respected spots while Yuri did the same.
"How was school?" I asked, trying my best to break the silence.
"It was fine, to be honest. The cla.s.ses were mostly about reviewing since exams are coming up." Yuri replied.
"Oh, i see. If you need help with something, let me know!"
"Heh, okay. Thanks Jewel... So.. I'm guessing everything came out well, huh? I bet you feel more relieved."
"Yes, everything went well. And yes, I do feel much more relieved."
"Im glad that's so. Father is going to clear the misunderstanding of your "death" right now. He'll come in a bit for lunch."
"Oh!?"
"Yeah!! Now that you know the truth, might as well get the treatment you need right?... Oof- That didn't make any sense did it?"
"Haha! Not really, but i know what you mean!"
"Okay, at least you know, lol." Sitting down on a chair, Yuri stretches and sighs small.
Sitting on the chair next to him, I go quiet and smiles warmly as father finally came to the table. Once he sat down, we three started eating, enjoying our time together.
