"That must mean you're afraid of losing to me."
(HAHAHA)
"I'm glad you view this as amusing, but allow me the pleasure of changing your view."
He took that pretty well.
"This will be a simple sparring match between us. Since this is our first meeting."
"My name is Samael, but I think you already knew this."
I shrugged my shoulders at him.
"My name is, f.u.c.k You! First name "f.u.c.k," second name "You!""
That one p.i.s.sed him off! At least now he might actually shut up. I'm getting tired of all the formalities. Angels are always so proper about stuff. I guess that applies to the more intelligent fallen also.
He took his stance, and so did I.
The first few exchanges between us were nothing too serious. Testing out each others speed. The armor Mikhail gave me was standing up to any connections.
He was very skilled in combat techniques. I was having a bit of trouble keeping him back. If I had some support I wouldn't be in such a defensive position.
I'm glad I don't though, because I'm sure he would still be an issue if I did. His technique is solid, and shows experience. His speed was a match for mine, both with combat, and footing.
He backed off for a second, and change fighting style. What is he up to?
I suddenly started feeling uncomfortable. The abyss was acting weirdly, and his aura was definitely full of bloodl.u.s.t. Is he about to perform an attack?
His light began to shrink, and his energy started to mix in. He is about to do something, and it's going to be stronger then his other attacks. I have to be ready for anything.
"Allow me the pleasure of showing you a true technique."
His light was gone, and so was his aura! This is not going to be good if I take this. .h.i.t.
"Poison of the G.o.ds!"
He came at me faster then light itself, and I was able to parry the attack. However a piece of his sword connected with my arm. It was starting to go numb. What kind of poison is this?
"You are pretty good young one. I see that my venom has pierced your defense."
"There's nothing else I need to see here. The King does not have an army I need to worry about..."
Then he vanished into the abyss. My arm was really numb by that point. His attack would have done far more damage if it had landed directly.
He had come directly at me with focused energy. A javelin type of strike, except he didn't throw the weapon. His aura was in the weapon, and the strike. It had a purple, and yellow glow to it.
He definitely mixed in some type of energy with his light to create that attack. I can't believe he has that much light left after his fall.
I need to get back to the group before I lose consciousness. I hope I can make it in time. I'm too far from Lil to signal her from the abyss.
As I was heading to the rendezvous point. I started to feel my entire side going numb, and it was spreading. I grabbed hold of my neckless, and thought of Lil.
Then I started to pray to The King for my life.
"Please my King, please dont allow me to die here."
I hope he can hear me from here. My voice isn't that strong at all. I can barely hold up my eyes.
"Lil I'm sorry for leaving you behind. I hope I see you in my next life..."
The King really did just use me for His game.
"Your a.s.s is going to see me right now!"
That was the last thing I heard before going out of conciousness. Normally I have weird dreams about places I have never been. I travel the realms a lot, so I always figured it was because of that.
This time I was stuck in the abyss. Hundreds of serpents had surrounded me. They weren't attacking me though. They were just there moving around.
I can't believe The King would let me end like this. Am I being punished for taking lives? Is this His way of teaching me a lesson?
"He doesn't love you..."
I heard Samael's voice in my dream. How was he in my dreams? This poison of his is that strong?
"He let you be taken by me. How could someone who loves you allow you to fall?"
He was right. How could The King allow me to fall like this? Am I to become like the fallen have become? Will The King no longer allow me to learn Heavens lessons?
"He can see what has yet to be seen. So how did He not see this?"
"Did He see it, and still let it happen?"
Did The King see this happening to me? Even so, I know He must have a plan for this as well.
"He loves me, and wouldn't let me fall. This is just a test."
I said back to him. I don't know why I'm even answering a voice in my dreams. These are my dreams I'm the only one in charge. He should just leave...
"What is He testing?"
I never know what The King is testing me for. At least not until I see the test clearly. I can't see a motive in this test. What is He trying to test me on?
I wonder if He is listening to all this as well. I know He can hear my thoughts. He must be able to hear, and see my dreams.
Why is He not doing anything to stop this? What could He gain from this except wanting to see if I would turn? That has to be it. He is testing my loyalty.
"You will not break my bond with The King. Was He not once a good King to you?"
I didn't get a response from him. However we repeated this same series of conversations. It wasn't always the same questions, and answers.
He switched up his game plan each time. So I did the same. He just wouldn't give up. I must say though he had some good points to his argument.
