MY KIND OF LOVE 27 Red Carpe

It was Sat.u.r.day morning and Zain was having breakfast with Hazel at Miray's house. The two were lost up in their conversation when a knock came on the door. Zain opened the door and there were two beautiful women standing in front of him with a coat hook filled with different dresses. They conversed in a polite way to him and asked if the owner of the house was around. Without thinking twice Zain let them into the living room for he was mesmerized by their beauty.

"Who was it?!" Hazel shouted from the kitchen with her mouth full of food.

"Two very beautiful women!" Shouted Zain while giving a wink at the two ladies.

Hazel thought she had heard him wrong and quickly rushed to the living room with a spoon in her hand. "Who are you?.." turning to Zain, "why would you let strangers into the house before knowing who they are?!" She tossed the spoon in her hand to Zain but luckily he dodged from the attack.

"Don't mind her, she is always like this in the morning, please make yourself comfortable... Hazel wake Mimi up, they are looking for her.." He smiled at the women who were giggling to themselves.

Hazel was upset and went to Miray's room to wake her up. Five minutes later a sleepy Miray and Hazel entered the living room. Zain was at that time busy talking to the two women. As soon as they saw Miray enter the room, the two women got on their feet and greeted her with politeness.

"Mr. Morgan sent us with these dresses he designed for you.." one of the women pointed at the dresses they brought.

"Ooh it's Sat.u.r.day, alright you can leave now." Miray was still sleepy so she turned around to go back to her room.

"Wait!.." called out one of the ladies. Miray turned around in amazement, her sleep suddenly faded away, "Mr. Morgan strictly ordered us to help you get ready for tonight.. so as for today we are at your service."

"What if I refuse?" Miray answered.

"Please help us, or else we will lose our jobs.., designing has always been our pa.s.sion.. don't do this to us!" answered one of the anxious women.

They all looked at Miray waiting for her reply. She swiftly went forward and started to look at the dresses without saying a single word. Zain wanted to say something in favour of the women but he decided to not say a word for it might end up making the situation worse. So he looked at Hazel and gave her signals to talk to Miray. Hazel was still keeping a grudge from earlier so she smirked and ignored him. Zain grew impatient for he did not like to see the two beautiful women in such a state, so he went by Miray's side and took out one of the dresses.

"Mimi, wow this is beautiful... I think you will look the best in this..." he turned his back from the two women and faced Miray, whose eyes turned to the dress he was carrying.

"mmh Yes it is.. I like most of them, we just need to find the one.." Miray took the dress from Zain's hands and raised it up to look at it.

"Miray... " Zain called his sister, as soon as she turned to him, he gestured a sign about the two women who were still standing behind them.

Miray understood what his brother meant so she smiled, "is this how you are going to give me service today by just standing? Don't make me change my mind.."

The two women's faces flashed with happiness and they instantly went forward and started to give her their opinions about the dresses. They seemed to be very experienced with style that Miray was amazed. One of them was Eva who was a stylist and the other was Jane who was a makeup artist.

That whole day, Miray was busy getting ready with the two women who made Zain and Hazel feel invisible in their presence. Miray kept on switching the dresses, not that she was not happy with them but they just did not fit her imagination.

"Eva, call Mr. Morgan." commanded Miray after she tried the last dress.

"Is everything alright?" replied Eva with a worried face.

Before Miray could reply Hazel who was watching the whole situation decided to interrupt, "Miray, I don't get it.. you look stunning in all of them, just pick one to wear for tonight, it's already getting late."

Zain also commented, "Mimi we spent the whole day, and the dresses equally look amazing... Or is there someone my sister is trying to impress.."

"oooh Zain now when you put it that way it makes sense.." Hazel turned to Eva who was playing with her phone, pretending to call Mr. Morgan, " do you by any chance know who will be attending the fas.h.i.+on showcase?"

"Yes I know a few." replied Eva.

"Is CEO Vandeers going to be there?" asked Hazel. Miray who was silent was also curious to know the answer to that question.

Eva smiled before she answered, "well he was supposed to be our guest of honor but he declined the invitation."

Miray did not want them to see the disappointed look on her face, "did you call Mr. Morgan?"

"I am sorry but right now, I think that he could be busy preparation for the show... This is why he entrusted you to us, whatever you want, we will help you.." replied Eva.

"come on Miray just pick one.." Hazel was tired from just seeing Miray changing the dresses, one could only imagine how the two women felt.

Miray gave a deep sigh, "alright, Eva pick any dress for me and Jane do my makeup... I hope the shoes are also ready.."

"Yes we brought limited edition shoes too, we were just waiting for you to choose the dress." replied Jane who had been silent most of the time.

The two women picked out an outfit for Miray and started to get her ready. An hour later Miray came out of her room with the two women.

"Wow! ... I never knew you were this beautiful! you should look like this everyday!" Zain admired his sister.

"it's what I always tell her... eeh so tonight we will meet up while you look like this?.." Hazel added.

Miray laughed, " hahaha, look who is already jealous, it's just Jeff!... you can pick any dress you want and wear it for tonight."

"Miiirrraaayy!!" Hazel gave Miray a hug for she was bursting out with happiness.

"Are you not going with Terrence? why is he not here yet?" asked Zain as he looked at the time.

"No I won't go with him, I wanted to go by myself.. ladies won't you escort me." replied Miray and then she turned to the two women.

"Yes but we won't stay with you during the show.." Eva was smiling when she replied.

"alright then, let's get going... Hazel, see you tonight."

"I will go home tonight, try to smile more!" shouted Zain as the three left the house.

The red carpet was surrounded by reporters and photographers who all wanted to take pictures of the famous people who were attending the fashoin showcase. Famous celebrities and the rich, filled up the red carpet with their expensive outfit. It was more like a place to show off famous designer brands and this was all the reporters were interested in.

A woman came to the red carpet and all of the eyes turned to her. It took some time for them to realise who she was for they thought she was some famous actress. The woman was wearing an armless short silver dress that was s.h.i.+nning with glitter. Her hair was styled up beautifully and her short dress showed her long legs. Cameras started to flash towards her as they all wanted to catch a glimpse of her beauty. One of the reporters of the biggest television station in the country went by her side and started to interview her. The woman replied politely to the questions, showing how educated and intelligent she was but that was not what the reporter was interested in.

"So who are you wearing CEO Yethu?" the reporter finally asked as he looked at her dress and bare chest.

"hahaha it seems like you like what you are seeing... My eyes are up here." Miray's laughter was forced out but it came out in a natural way and she pointed to her eyes to show the reporter where they were.

The reporter realised what she meant and felt embarra.s.sed for it was a live broadcast, people would now think of him as a pervert. "hahahahaha you are really funny CEO Yethu, .... hmh hmmh so why are you here tonight?" he tried to switch the topic and loosened one b.u.t.ton from his s.h.i.+rt.

"My darling model is here, so I came to support her... who knows what might happen to her with men like you around .." a cold smile came on her face, people would think these two had known each other before with the strangeness of their conversation.

"hahaha, that was CEO Yethu.. thank you for the interview... " he went past Miray to approach the famous actress who just arrived.

Skylar was home watching the live broadcast since he decided not to attend the function. He listened to the interview Miray just had with the reporter and he couldn't help but feel a little annoyed about it. He did not like the way Miray's dress was very open, for not only did it show her long legs but her chest was open too. 'That d.a.m.ned designer,' he cursed Mr. Morgan as thoughts of how the men would be looking at her tormented his mind and he switched off the television. He took his phone and sent a message to a.s.sistant Kin. After that he retired to bed, trying so hard not to think about it. ' I am sure she would be fine.' He kept on repeating those words to himself as he tried to catch some sleep. 30 minutes pa.s.sed with him tossing and turning in bed, what had happened with the reporter still made him feel uneasy and Miray's dress kept on coming to his mind. And then finally, he made a decision.
