Chapter 334: When You’re Up, Hubby Will Be Back
Once violence was involved, the relations.h.i.+p was definitely strained.
No matter what Gong Zeli had said and done, he was surely upset about how things had turned out, given that they had been close buddies for so many years.
“It’s nothing to do with you.” Mo Yesi patted her on the head and said tenderly, “Don’t think too much. If I don’t step forward to protect you even at such a time, am I still fit to be your husband?
“Would you want such a man for your husband?”
Qiao Mianmian thought about it seriously and shook her head.
If Mo Yesi hadn’t stood out to defend her, she probably wouldn’t have said anything about it. But she wouldn’t feel good, either.
Since he wanted to be on her side, then he had to offend his friend.

Qiao Mianmian was a little tired, so she nodded. “Mm.”

In the bedroom.
Mo Yesi picked her up easily and carried her to the bedside, before gently placing her on the bed.
He bent over and kissed her on the lips. “Go to sleep.”
“What about you.” Qiao Mianmian looked up at him sleepily.
“I’ve got an appointment in the afternoon.” Mo Yesi sat beside her and tucked her in. “I’ll have to go out for a while. But my night is free, so I’ll be back to accompany you.
“I’ll get back as soon as I can.”
His deep eyes seemed to hold a whole galaxy of stars. She could barely look into them.
And his gaze was so gentle, it was hard to describe how it felt to face it.
She felt all warm and fuzzy inside when she heard him say “I’ll get back as soon as I can.”
She smiled and nodded. “Mm. Then… I’ll wait for you at home.”
Her last few words were soft and light.
So soft that Mo Yesi almost couldn’t catch them.
But his listening had always been pretty good, and so, he heard her anyway.
His eyes sparkled as his lips curled up attractively.
“Mm. Baby, wait for me at home.” He took her hand and kissed it. “When you’re up, Hubby will be back.”
The girl’s lips were pink and soft, her skin fair and smooth. He couldn’t help but kiss her on each of her fingers, then the back of her hand, and then on her lips.
