Chi Hailang could not tolerate this. He shook off Li Beinian’s grip and turned around swinging his fist, delivering a heavy blow to w.a.n.g Lei’s face.

He was too quick, and by the time Li Beinian could react, w.a.n.g Lei cried in agony.

Lin Yuxin jumped in fright, taking a step forward in an attempt to stop this.

But w.a.n.g Hao, who was standing by the side, was quicker. Cursing aloud, he immediately came down on Chi Hailang, starting a fight.

Li Beinian suddenly understood, and her heart sank. The pain in her shoulder flared again as her arm went numb.

“Hailang!” Lin Yuxin ran towards Chi Hailang as she cried out, “Are you okay?”

There were new bruises on his face, and the corner of his mouth was swollen and bleeding.

He wiped off the blood and said to Lin Yuxin, “I’m fine.”

“You again!” Lin Ya’s tone carried obvious displeasure. “Why do you like to get into fights so much? If you have the guts, stop getting people to clean up your act all the time.”

Chi Hailang was infuriated by the chiding, but he wasn’t in the condition to retort.

It was the truth.

Lin Ya’s stern face was even more deterring than the shrewd smile that he usually carried.

He shot a glance at w.a.n.g Lei and w.a.n.g Hao, remarking, “You two are quite capable too, hitting a woman?”

He reached out to examine her shoulder, asking, “Are you okay?”
