She smiled in response to his answer, but that faded quickly as she said with disdain, “n.o.body praises themselves as you do.”

“I was praising you too, didn’t you notice?”

Pouting, she replied, “No.”

He smiled and lowered his head to peck her lips, whispering, “How unintelligent is that?”

“Go away.” She shook his hand off and pushed him away.

Unexpectedly, he stepped aside readily.

Li Beinian shot him a look and glanced around the living room. She asked curiously, “Why are we here?”

“This is our home,” Mu Xichen replied as he walked further into the house. “It’s going to become an abandoned house if we stay away from it any longer.”

“Geez, you think it will become an abandoned house so easily? As though we’re not coming back here ever again.”

Mu Xichen unb.u.t.toned his s.h.i.+rt and walked towards the stairs. Placing a hand on the stair railing, his eyes were ablaze as he looked at her and said, “The weather is so fine today. Shall we swim?”
