Jian Yunnao learned that Jian Yiling called Jian Yuncheng ‘eldest brother’.

Initially, he a.s.sumed that his brother was merely in a good mood. Smiles continued to appear on his brother’s not-so-expressive

face.

However, after he asked, he heard that his sister finally called Jian Yuncheng ‘eldest brother’. She even urged him to get married.

Jian Yunnao was very jealous of this.

He looked down at the piano in front of him and started to play.

His emotions poured through the notes his fingers played.

When Jian Yunmo heard the piano notes, he stopped by the door for a while. After Jian Yunnao finished playing the piece, Jian Yunmo walked into the piano room.

Jian Yunnao had been focusing on playing piano earlier. As a result, he did not notice that there was someone standing at the door.

Jian Yunmo smiled gently before he said: “Little Yunnao, do you remember when you used to argue with Yiling? Back then, both of you would ask for my opinion on the situation.”

As Jian Yunnao and Jian Yiling were roughly the same age, the two little ones often quarrel when they were younger.

“Mhmm,” Jian Yunnao softly replied. “Back then, you would never say who was wrong or who was right. Instead, you would make both of us happy again.”

Somehow, Jian Yunmo always had a way to cheer up his younger siblings. This would make them forget what they were arguing about.

Furthermore, Jian Yunnao never commented on who was right and who was wrong.

“Little Yunnao, sometimes it’s difficult to determine who is right and who is wrong when you’re arguing with a family member. In fact, maybe right or wrong isn’t what’s important. Rather, it’s the familial connection between us,” Jian Yunmo said gently.

Jian Yunnao had been living in regret for the past two years. All the songs he created were mournful and depressing.

“Brother Yunmo… Yiling is willing to call Brother Yuncheng ‘eldest brother’… I…”

“You want something like that as well right?” Jian Yunmo replied. He instantly knew what Jian Yunnao wanted.

“Mhmm…”

He wanted to make up for his mistakes. He wanted to cherish the time he could spend with his sister. Right now, they were still alive and well…

“Then go and do that. There’s no use saying these things to me. Yiling can’t hear or feel what you’re saying,” Jian Yunmo said as he gently patted Jian Yunnao’s head. “You’ve grown up already. You’re as tall as your brother now.”

Jian Yunnao lowered his head and a ripple began to form in his heart.

Then Jian Yunmo added: “Don’t learn from Brother Yuncheng. Don’t keep a stern look on your face all day every day.”

“It seems like someone’s speaking behind my back,” a low voice appeared at the door.

Jian Yunmo turned around and noticed Jian Yuncheng standing at the door.

Even though the poker face was still there, his face looked much happier than before.

It was evident that his relations.h.i.+p with Jian Yiling had a great impact on his mental health and wellbeing.

Jian Yunmo smiled and said: “Even if you’re standing in front of me, I would say the same thing. You almost never have any expressions on your face. You’re way too cold. In the past, Yiling was scared of you for that very exact reason.”
