Chapter 1413: Little A Sheng
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
When Jian Yiling woke up, she saw a group of people gathered beside her.
“How are you feeling?” Zhai Yunsheng asked worriedly.
“I feel a bit of pain,” Jian Yiling softly answered. The look on her face appeared a bit aggrieved.
However, in reality, Jian Yiling did not feel aggrieved. Her pale face accompanied by her soft voice just gave off that impression.
“It’s alright. Let’s not have another child.”
!!“I want to see my baby.”
“Bring him here,” Zhai Yunsheng said.
Upon hearing this, Master Zhai hurriedly gestured for someone to bring over Jian Yiling’s baby.
He was sleeping soundly in a bundle of lightweight cotton.
“He looks like you,” Jian Yiling said with a smile on her face.
She was really happy.
It was a smaller version of A Sheng.
Jian Yiling stretched out her finger and gently poked his fleshy and soft cheeks.
As her baby was sleeping soundly, he didn’t wake up from the poke. Instead, he continued sleeping and there was a drop of drool on the side of his mouth.
He was adorable.
As Jian Yiling looked at her baby, the smile on her face became even brighter.
At that moment, she realized she became really different from the person she once was.
“Okay, carry him away,” Zhai Yunsheng said.
“I want to continue looking at him,” Jian Yiling said somewhat reluctantly.
“He looks like me. You can look at me instead,” Zhai Yunsheng replied shamelessly.
“It’s not the same…” Jian Yiling softly muttered.
“It’s the same,” Zhai Yunsheng answered. Zhai Yunsheng did not like his son.
His son caused Jian Yiling so much pain.
After a few moments, Jian Yiling looked around her bed for Jian Yunmo. When she saw him, she called out: “Brother Yunmo.”
“I’m here,” Jian Yunmo said as he walked over to hold Jian Yiling’s hand.
“Give the child a checkup.”
Jian Yiling was still thinking about the matter. She wondered if her child inherited Zhai Yunsheng’s heart condition.
“Liu Ting already arranged for it. It will be done later.”
It was impossible for Jian Yunmo to forget this matter.
He just wanted his sister to see her child before he took him away.
Naturally, none of them wanted Jian Yiling’s child to inherit Zhai Yunsheng’s heart condition. They wanted her child to be happy and healthy.
Even though the condition could now be controlled by regular injections of inhibitors, no one wanted to inject such things into a child from such an early age.
“Mhmm.”
“Everything will be alright. You don’t need to worry about these matters. For now, you just need to take care of yourself. Leave the rest to your brother, okay?” Jian Yunmo said softly. His eyes were full of heartache.
“Mhmm. Brother Yunmo, don’t be sad. I’m not in pain.”
“Okay, I believe you. Rest up,” Jian Yunmo replied.
Then, he looked up and gave Zhai Yunsheng a meaningful gaze.
After that, he walked out of the ward to find Liu Ting. They were going to perform a checkup on Jian Yiling’s newborn child.
###
A few months ago, there was a compet.i.tion between Jian Yiling and Zhang Xin.
As it took a bit of time for their research to be evaluated and verified, the final results were only announced by the national medical inst.i.tution in the last few days.
After the results were announced, the reputation of the Zhang family was greatly affected.
Zhang Xin began to hear a lot of whispers which doubted the abilities of the Zhang family.
“Send a note out to the eight reclusive families! I want to unite with them to deal with Jian Yiling and Lahaisen Hospital!”
The recent events made Zhang Xin furious.
“Head of the family, I don’t believe that’s a wise decision,” an old servant beside Zhang Xin advised.
It had been many years since the eight reclusive families had gathered together.
Originally, there were nine families. However, their leader, the Xie family, had disappeared many years ago for some unknown reason.
