Chapter 513 Weirdness
Following Xiangyan’s words, Mo Yichen went home early and took Xiangyan to school. Then, Mo Yichen turned the car round and was about to return home. But he suddenly thought that he hadn’t been to the company for a long time. So, he drove straight ahead there.
After arriving at the company, he was going to go to his office quietly. The employees who saw him were surprised. Since Mo Yichen’s uncle had dealt with the company affairs for a long time, everyone thought that Mo Yichen would not come back.
Mo Yichen also felt a little strange, but he didn’t think too much. As usual, he did some routine works.
Going to the company for several days, he found that the company operated normally. However, he still felt there was something wrong. It was just a vague sense, and he couldn’t tell with words.
Suddenly, an idea flashed through his mind. He thought he should know the financial situation of the company. The finance, after all, was the lifeblood of a company, so there should be no problem with it. Then he gave the director of the accounting office an internal call and said that he wanted to see the recent journal account.
After hanging up, the director immediately took the account book to Mo Yichen’s office.
Handing the account book over to Mo Yichen, the director stood at Mo Yichen’s side without any words and was ready for any questions from Mo Yichen. But Mo Yichen said that he would just browse through it and asked the director to work. So, the director left.
Going out from the office, the director was relieved and murmured, “It’s so stressful to stay with the President. No one can stand it.”
“Yichen, you’re back!” A familiar voice sounded. It was Mo Yichen’s uncle, who was on a business trip when Mo Yichen came back to the company. For the sake of the company, his uncle had to rush around. While he just washed his hand of it. Thinking of this, Mo Yichen felt somewhat guilty.
“Recently, I happen to be free, so I’m going to check the account book. Thanks for your hard work. Since you just came back and get tired, you can have a rest for a couple of days.” Mo Yichen said earnestly to his uncle. Then he was ready to open the account book.
But Mo Yichen didn’t notice that his uncle was in a sweat. Mo Yichen’s uncle walked towards him while saying, “You haven’t dealt with these things for so long. Let me explain it to you.” Then Mo Yichen’s uncle stretched out his hand and intended to seize the account book from Mo Yichen.
“Do you think I didn’t know my own company? Don’t worry too much. You can go home to have a rest.” With saying, Mo Yichen naturally pushed away his uncle’s hand and was ready to open the account book again.
When Mo Yichen’s uncle saw that, his face turned pale.
Suddenly, Mo Yichen’s phone rang. Mo Yichen frowned. When he saw it was Xiangyan’s teacher, he immediately answered the phone.
“What?” Mo Yichen asked in surprise and left behind the account book. He hinted his uncle that he had something to do and left in a hurry.
Mo Yichen didn’t see his uncle panting with the pale face. Mo Yichen’s uncle rejoiced that Mo Yichen hadn’t opened the account book. At that time, Mo Yichen’s uncle determined that he would speed up the process because if Mo Yichen knew the account was wrong, he would not ride out a crisis.
But, of course, Mo Yichen didn’t know his uncle’s thought. He was preoccupied with the teacher’s words that Xiangyan fought with his cla.s.smate.
However, Mo Yichen didn’t believe it. Although Xiangyan was young, he would not do that groundlessly. Thinking of this, Mo Yichen felt less anxious.
The car was accelerating until the speed exceeded 100 km/h, but Mo Yichen didn’t mind it. He just wanted to get to the school as soon as possible.
After arriving at the school, Mo Yichen hurried to the teacher’s office. Then he found that Mo Xiangyan was standing there forlornly while the teacher was focusing on his own business.
“Here you are, Xiangyan’s father,” the teacher greeted and said, “I heard from some of his cla.s.smates that Mo Xiangyan had a fight. I asked him, but he didn’t say anything. And I’d like to tell you something about it.”
The teacher explained that all students were asked to draw a picture of their mother as Mother’s Day was coming. Mo Xiangyan drew it, but someone said he lied because he had no mother. Mo Xiangyan became sullen and fought with that student.
“I know it’s not suitable for me to comment on your family, but a complete family is very important for a child.” The teacher stopped the subject. Then the teacher said he was going to find that student’s parents. And Mo Yichen could communicate with Mo Xiangyan first.
Although the teacher didn’t say too much, Mo Yichen understood. Other children all had their mothers, but his son had to suffer so much because he didn’t have a mother. Thinking of this, Mo Yichen felt guilty.
At this point, the student who fought with Xiangyan was called into the office by the teacher. His parents knew it was their child’s fault, so they immediately told their child to apologize to Xiangyan. But the child was not convinced because Mo Xiangyan certainly didn’t have a mother. And even if he apologized, Mo Xiangyan would not have a mother.
Compelled by his parents, however, that child apologized to Mo Xiangyan reluctantly.
Mo Xiangyan didn’t reply. Then Mo Yichen let them leave first.
Mo Yichen and Mo Xiangyan went out from the office. Looking at Mo Xiangyan’s sorrowful face and droopy head, Mo Yichen became extremely guilty. Then he determined to tell Xiangyan the truth right away that Xiangyan should know.
The child should not be hurt by the disagreements between adults. The reason why Mo Yichen didn’t tell Xiangyan before was because he was afraid that Xiangyan could not accept it suddenly. But now, Xiangyan had been hurt since he didn’t know the truth. Mo Yichen didn’t want to see it, neither did Gu Yan.
In fact, Xiangyan didn’t dislike Gu Yan and even relied on her. The teacher showed Mo Yichen the picture Xiangyan drew just now. And what Xiangyan drew was Gu Yan. “So, why do we still conceal the truth from him? Even if Gu Yan knows that I tell Xiangyan the truth, she will not blame me.” Mo Yichen thought.
Thinking of this, Mo Yichen didn’t hesitate any longer. He crouched and looked at Xiangyan straightly. Seeing the tears in Xiangyan’s eyes and his confused look, Mo Yichen strengthened his resolve.
“You have a mother. She is Aunt Yan.” Mo Yichen said.
With his eyes wide opened, Mo Xiangyan burst into tears and shouted, “Although I drew the image of Aunt Yan, she is not my mother! Why does everyone have a mother except me? I want my own mother!” Mo Xiangyan believed that Mo Yichen was cheating him. As a result, Mo Xiangyan became more sorrowful, and all his feelings were expressed by tears.
