Tianming sent out a blast from his s.h.i.+p to work with Xiaodao. It didn't strike Demoness Yin, but exploded between her and Xiaodao, sending both of them flying off in opposite directions. That way he wouldn't be intercepted by her.

"Curses!"

"Stop that s.h.i.+p!"

The other Intrepidus elites tried using their cosmic charts and foundation fortresses to push against the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and slow it down.

Demoness Yin glared at the s.h.i.+p and smiled. "My dear, don't struggle. I'll play with you a little bit later. For now, I have to kill this disgusting old man!"

"You're calling me a disgusting old man? Madame, you aren't young yourself. Why’re you pretending to be? Not to mention, have you seen how ugly Lin Ke was? His father must've been ugly, too, and if you were able to stomach him, why not me, eh? I'm much better looking, I'll have you know!" Xiaodao mocked.

Being called something like 'madame' got a real rise out of Demoness Yin. Her outer appearance was that of a beautiful, young elder sister with an air of seductive maturity. She didn't look like a dignified old crone in the slightest. Xiaodao, on the other hand, looked completely drab.

She exploded with rage, sending out more and more threads of blood that managed to latch on to the Xiao Nu Gourd. Her voice rang out within the gourd. "Do you think you'll be fine as long as you hide, you little coward?"

Rapidly, more and more b.l.o.o.d.y threads appeared on the gourd and wrapped around it. Eventually, it looked like a spool for blood-colored thread. "Stop!"

But even with all the pulling, it was still like trying to stop a raging bull from advancing. Even though the gourd had considerably slowed, it was still charging ahead!

"How shameless! Do you lack men back home or something? Desperation isn’t attractive, you know," Xiaodao quipped from inside the gourd.

"Hehe...." Demoness Yin couldn't be bothered to answer him. All she wanted was his death!

"Brother Li! Are you here yet? This witch has me all tied up!" Xiaodao cried.

"I'm coming! Just keep agitating her and holding her there! That's what you're good at!" Wudi said.

"Fine!" Xiaodao grit his teeth and said to Demoness Yin, "Madame, don't tell me you're like that Meng Ying abomination and about to die from old age.... How dare you flirt with my disciple with that kind of face? Any random girl in his harem is much younger and prettier than a wrinkly old fruit like you!"

Ironically enough, the words pierced Demoness Yin deeper than any strike the Primordial Demonshade could unleash. Even Tianming was impressed. He recalled the time when Xiaodao made his debut by killing Chi Hun; he truly had a talent for provocation.

"I'll see how you cry after I teach your filthy mouth a lesson!" Demoness Yin spat. It didn't take long before the Xiao Nu Gourd was completely balled up in b.l.o.o.d.y threads. With how much force it was being put under, the gourd seemed to slightly contort. The female spiritform on its surface looked like she was in pain.

"Brother Li!" Xiaodao roared.

"I'm here!" Countless flameyellow fiends charged past the ball of b.l.o.o.d.y threads. Flames of rage burst out all around the area as the abyss-like coffin descended to take in the ball. Then, the heavy lid of the coffin began closing. As it did, the coffin's rumbles caused quite a lot of flaming sparks to appear, making it look like an attention-grabbing firework.

"How's it going?" Tianming anxiously asked.

"Her cosmic artifact is in here, so she should be as well!" Xiaodao said.

"She's in here, alright," Wudi confirmed.

"Good!" They had managed to pull off their maneuver against Demoness Yin. Tianming couldn't enter the coffin himself, since he had to pilot the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, while Moran wanted to make sure he was safe. Thus, Xiaodao and Wudi were on their own.

"Let's see if we can kill her. If we can't, we'll leave the coffin and see if she remains trapped in it. Even if it doesn't work, you should escape!" Wudi calmly said.

The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb quickly separated from the coffin and entered the flaming furnace once more, with Demoness Yin trapped in the coffin. The threat was over for now, and the four other Intrepidus elites wouldn’t be able to threaten the s.h.i.+p with their cosmic artifacts. Tianming breathed a sigh of relief. "We're finally free for now!"

It had been far too dangerous moments before. Now, Wudi and Xiaodao were the ones at risk. "G.o.dfather, Old Lin, if you can't take her out or trap her in, can you shake her off?"

"It's hard to say. Perhaps she'll stick close to us! But at the very least, she won't be able to break through the Flameyellow Coffin like she can your s.h.i.+p," Wudi said. He was able to maintain better control over the coffin, as it was a cosmic artifact.

"Feng'er, leave us be for now and focus on shaking off the ones from Intrepidus and reentering the Sky Palace Formation. We'll find a chance inside the Flameyellow Guard Formation if we can't handle her!" Xiaodao said.

"Alright. Enough talk!" The sound of fighting could be heard from the transmission stone. It was two against one.

While Demoness Yin was powerful, Tianming trusted the two of them. Even if they weren't as powerful as her, they had sharp minds and could improvise well. They wouldn't be defeated that easily. "I'll focus on my side here, then!"

Tianming and Moran used their divine wonders to hara.s.s the rest of the enemies on the s.h.i.+p. He also erratically piloted the s.h.i.+p in an attempt to shake them off, ramming through many flameyellow fiends in the process. With Demoness Yin away, even the foundationeers from Intrepidus were shaken off one after another.

"I wonder how it's going over there...." Tianming still felt rather anxious about it. The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb was located near the southernmost part of the Sun. Along the way, the s.h.i.+p had shaken off quite a few of the enemies from Intrepidus. However, there was still one foundationeer that clung onto the s.h.i.+p, much to Tianming's annoyance.

The foundationeer was called Ba Xiao, a bald G.o.dshade that crackled with dark purple lightning. He looked like an electric fiend. His electrical foundation fortress formed a net that wrapped around the s.h.i.+p, limiting its movements. He seemed to be trying to stop the s.h.i.+p to wait for Demoness Yin to catch up.

"Child, stop struggling. Your two ugly seniors will soon be turned into minced meat by our Big Sis. It'll be your turn next," Ba Xiao said.

"Is that so? Since n.o.body else is around, I'll kill you first!" Even with Moran's help, fighting a foundationeer would still be incredibly risky. However, if they couldn't get rid of him, they wouldn't be able to reenter the Sky Palace Formation. Tianming was desperate enough that he couldn't just leave the G.o.dshade alone. He would count on himself to break out of his predicament!
