When Shanhu said this, he had used up all of his courage. He had spoken a lot with his grandma these days and he had thought about the whole thing thoroughly. He was aware that he had hoped too much, but he would like to see if he did mean something in her eyes.

He had not wanted to meet Qu Hua these days, but Qu Hua was still so arrogant as she spoke of those things.

He and his grandma were different. He did not care what Qu Hua was thinking, but he did care about why Lady Chaoyan was here with him at Li Village.

Sword One did not come to the wagon but whispered. “Elder Miss, Shanhu says that he wants to stay a bit longer, since his grandma has not yet fully recovered.”

Gu Chaoyan was surprised and a bit confused.

She checked on Shanhu’s grandma the moment she came to Li Village, but she was not seriously ill and was just an elderly woman who had some small issues. She should have recovered in a couple of days with the help of medicine. However, five days had pa.s.sed and she was not yet better?

She was confident that she was good enough to get better.

She should have gotten off the wagon to check on her, but when she was checking her the other day, the grandma had offended her and crossed her line. So she did not move.

Instead, she took out a white bottle. “Give this to Shanhu. If his grandma is not recovering, then put the pills into the medicine and let her drink it.”
