Chapter 72: Darius’ Divination
Darius clapped her hands.
A few slim girls dressed in saris, just like her, walked in from somewhere in the castle.
These girls looked almost like twins.
They were around the same age and looked identical to each other.
They lined up and knelt in front of Darius.
Then, a few burly gypsy men carrying a white bull statue made of silver walked in as well.
These men put down the lifelike white bull statue and retreated to the sides.
At the same time, they chanted some sentences that didn’t make sense.
As they chanted, the white bull that was made of silver emitted a red light.
The light enveloped the young girls and the men.
Amazingly, these men had not died from the loss of blood.
At this moment, those who had seen through the trick lightly nodded.
“Lady Darius’ divination technique has once again advanced! ” A voice rang out in praise. “Perhaps it won’t be long before we have to respectfully address you as a d.u.c.h.ess! ”
It had been a long time since Qin Lu had a Duke of Curses!
Because the last Duke of Curses had been blown apart by that man from the East of Kunlun Province with a single punch.
His head is still hanging somewhere in an ancient mountain range in Kunlun Province.
Since then, Qin Lu’s School of Curses had broken up into various factions.
Darius smiled at the compliments and took out a crystal ball. She then gently threw it into the red light.
The crystal ball was suspended in the middle.
Darius walked over to the oil lamp that had been smashed into pieces. She picked up a bit of oil and smeared it on the foreheads of each girl.
Then, she bit her finger and flicked the blood from between her fingers towards the crystal ball.
The girls staggered and stood up with sparkling eyes.
The wounds on the muscular men’s throats were gradually healed by some kind of power.
This made the men extremely energetic and excited.
“Tell me… ” Darius asked the men who were becoming increasingly dazed and confused, “Where is Sherlock? ”
All the men turned their heads at the same time.
They were facing east.
They shouted the name of a place. “Federal Empire Of Xia, Guangnan Governor District, Jiangcheng City, underground forensic laboratory of the Blackguard! ”
The images of the remains of a body lying in the underground forensic laboratory appeared in the crystal ball.
It was Sherlock.
Everyone looked at each other.
“Why had Sherlock gone to the east? ”
“To that country? ! ”
The mainland of the Federal Empire Of Xia in the east was a restricted area for everyone.
If it weren’t necessary, no one would dare take a risk by setting foot on it.
This was because once they were discovered, no matter how strong they were, they wouldn’t be able to escape.
There wasn’t even a need for the Governor of BlackGuard to act. Just the members of BlackGuard alone, and those serving temporary positions, would be able to torment any one of them in the hall right now.
Not to mention, there were always a few railguns that they deployed in the s.p.a.ce synchronous...o...b..t that were ready to fire at any time.
This was a sharp sword hanging above everyone’s head.
It was also a silent deterrent.
No one wanted to be randomly hit on the head by tungsten bars dropping from the skies.
Those who had experienced it described what a thrill it was!
The only problem was..
Didn’t the Federal Empire Of Xia hate cursing sects and related deviants the most?
The local pract.i.tioners of black witchcraft had all been wiped out.
Even the masters and pract.i.tioners in the surrounding areas had been banned.
For the sole reason that all the past commander-in-chiefs of the great Federal Empire Of Xia believed that cursing, witchcraft, and voodoo were all evil forms of sorcery which experimented on ordinary people. They believed that these forms of sorcery had slowly grown, bit by bit, from the experiments that they conducted on ordinary people.
Hence, they took a very strict approach towards anything that was related to curses, witchcraft, and voodoo, including their pract.i.tioners.
Could it be that the Xia people had changed their policy?
Everyone shook their heads.
Because they knew that this was impossible.
The commander-in-chief of the BlackGuard, as well as his predecessors, were all blockheads.
They were powerful and extraordinary individuals, the cream of the crop.
Yet their minds were concerned with the ordinary people!
In that country, people with extraordinary powers had to go to court for killing ordinary people!? And might even be sentenced to death! ?
That was simply unbelievable!
However, most of the extraordinary people in that country felt that it was very reasonable!
They were all f*cking crazy!
“Darius, could you divine who killed Sherlock? ” The ragged marionette doll asked.
Darius replied solemnly, “I’ll try! ”
“But there might be risks! ”
“After all, I’m facing a master of curses who might be far better than me! ”
“Even if he’s caught off guard, spying on him might still lead to a psionic counterattack! ”
“Every Curse Master is an expert in Soul Crystals! ”
“Therefore, I have to be better prepared! ”
As she spoke, Darius took out an exquisite doll.
The doll was stuffed with hair. It was hair that had been removed from her head.
This was a life-saving treasure that her mother had specially prepared for her.
It had saved her many times.
Darius carefully levitated the doll. Then, she used a needle to p.r.i.c.k her tongue and remove a drop of blood from the tip of her tongue.
She held the drop of blood and started murmuring.
Behind her, the tarot cards began to flip open.
Finally, a tarot card materialized in her hand.
The second card of the twenty-two Major Arcana Cards, the Magician!
The Magician was the one who fooled the Fool, as well as the one who fooled the world.
Darius smeared the blood from the tip of her tongue onto the card. Then, she squeezed it hard and shattered the card. It turned into spots of light that surrounded the doll.
This way, she could use the power of the tarot cards to fool the Master of Curses.
She would make him think that it was the doll that was spying on him.
As a result, the doll would be the one to withstand any possible counterattack.
After doing all of this, Darius smiled as she cupped her hand beside her mouth and blew gently.
This breath blew towards the crystal ball.
The next second.
A beautiful light burst out from the crystal ball.
