Chapter 288: Heavily Injuring Clayton
He had never thought that Andrew would attack so quickly. He clutched his neck with one hand, and the spear in his hand fell to the ground. He stared at Andrew with wide eyes.
Then, he felt his legs go soft, and he dropped to the ground. Andrew did not forget to tease him.
“With your shabby appearance, you still want to absorb my cultivation. I even gave you a chance, but you’re too useless. Trash.”
The warrior covered his injured throat with one hand and mumbled something. After a while, he took his last breath.
After dealing with the warrior, Andrew’s face instantly darkened. He immediately put away the Dustless Sword.
With a solemn expression, he walked towards the unconscious Howard, who was lying on the ground.
Andrew did not know what to do. He only knew how to kill, but he had never saved anyone. It seemed that he would have to trouble his sister Annie again this time.
Andrew did not dare to hesitate at all. He picked up Howard and released his cultivation.
In the blink of an eye, he disappeared from where he was. He could not care less about the Crimson Flame Stone mine. In a short while, he appeared at the Martial Arts Bureau.
At this moment, Clayton was still standing at the entrance of the martial arts district. His expression was solemn, and no one knew what he was waiting for. When he saw Andrew’s figure, he hurriedly walked forward.
“You’re finally back. The government sent a message. If we don’t comply with their request, they will cancel the cooperation with us. They even said some crazy words. If you continue to insist, they will take back the owners.h.i.+p of the mine…”
Clayton said a lot of things in one breath, but Andrew was not in the mood to care about it. He just replied to him indifferently.
“I will deal with those things in the future. You go to the Crimson Flame mine right now and help me see what’s going on.”
Andrew said this because he had his own concerns. He had left in a hurry just now. Many things in the Crimson Flame Stone Mine had not been dealt with yet.
Although he had killed many warriors there, he could not guarantee that there were no survivors.
After Clayton heard what he said, he was stunned. He released his cultivation and disappeared in front of Andrew in an instant.
Andrew directly pushed open the door of the Martial Arts Bureau and hurriedly ran inside. In a short while, he arrived in front of Annie’s door.
But before he could speak, Annie pushed open her door. Looking at Howard in his hands, her eyes flashed with a trace of doubt.
Soon, she came back to her senses and said to Andrew, “What are you doing? Hurry up and bring him in.”
Andrew did not hesitate and walked in with quick steps.
Even if Andrew didn’t say it, Annie knew why he was here. She instantly released her cultivation and started to check Howard’s body.
After checking, Annie’s face instantly darkened.
“With his current condition, I don’t have much confidence to save him. Even if I did save him, he might be a cripple.”
Andrew was shocked. He stared at the unconscious Howard with a serious expression and patted his head in self-blame.
Annie walked forward and comforted him.
“I’ll do my best. After all, he’s been with you for so long. He’s always done his best by your side. As long as there’s one last hope, I won’t give up.”
Annie’s expression became serious. She turned around and started to treat Howard.
Andrew also knew that he couldn’t be of much help now, so he could only stand aside anxiously.
While Annie was busy, he didn’t know how much time had pa.s.sed before Annie raised her hand to wipe the sweat on her forehead. She said to Andrew, “He should be fine now, but his tendons have been crippled. I can only barely connect his tendons together. Even if he wakes up, he won’t be able to stand up again for the rest of his life.”
Andrew’s face darkened. He stared at Howard with a solemn expression. He then muttered to himself.
“I must take revenge for this. Since those people from the government don’t know death, then I’ll make them disappear from here completely.”
Annie, who was standing at the side, also saw the angry expression on his face, but she didn’t dare to say anything.
She deeply understood that with Andrew’s personality, he would definitely fulfill his words.
She walked in front of Andrew and whispered, “His life is no longer in danger. We should go out first and let him rest here properly.”
Andrew raised his head once again to take a look before walking out.
On the other side, when Clayton arrived at the Crimson Flame Stone mine, he discovered the corpses of the warriors lying on the ground.
He stared at the corpses with a solemn expression. After sizing them up, he said in a cold voice to the trembling Atlantean disciples standing at the side.
“The few of you, come over and clean up these corpses. Don’t leave any traces.”
Although Clayton rarely came to the Crimson Flame Stone mine, the Atlantean disciples knew that he was the director of the Martial Arts Bureau.
The Atlantean disciples ran towards the corpses.
After a short while, all the corpses had been cleaned up. Clayton didn’t relax. He walked towards the mining caves and went inside.
When he walked into the caves, his face instantly darkened. When he had just arrived here, he was curious as to why the number of the Atlantean disciples had decreased so much.
Only after entering the mine did he discover the truth, but this also made him feel a wave of disgust.
