Chapter 448: You’re the First to be able to Harm Me in this Lifetime
It could even be said that if the old dragon didn’t fully submit to its demonic nature, there was no doubt that it could’ve lost the fight against Lu Xuan.
In that case, all that one could conclude from the situation was that there was always someone better out there. Ao Chen’s powers were considered far from weak to the point of being deemed nearly invincible among peers of its current level.
Even so, it was unfortunate enough to run into Lu Xuan.
Ao Chen’s level of powers fell from a higher level, but there was no doubt that its original level paled in comparison to that of Lu Xuan back in his past life.
Ao Chen possessed a great amount of combat experience was extremely rich, yet it was nothing when compared to the combat experience Lu Xuan had.
Lu Xuan’s understanding and comprehension were at a level where mastery had gotten beyond mastering techniques. Any single move that he pulled would be able to bring about the essence of the way of the sword.
Both parties fought long and hard. Countless people saw Lu Xuan as a lone hero with a sword in his hand, out to slay a demonic dragon and save the world.
Both parties fought at extremely high speeds, while Ao Chen was the only one that kept roaring. Its ma.s.sive body continued to twist and turn in midair.
Blood continued to spill from the wounds all over its body. Spectators from all over the world saw a ma.s.sive wound found on that dragon’s body; it was a huge tear resulting from brute force.
Roar!
Ao Chen continued to roar as it kept flipping about.
Everyone then saw Lu Xuan to not be in that much of a good shape as he stood against the dragon. There was also a huge gash being torn at the side of his midsection. Everyone then saw that when standing before the dragon, Lu Xuan wasn’t in much of a good shape either.
Some spectators exclaimed in surprise, “Lu Xuan is injured!”
It truly was a harrowing sight to behold. Lu Xuan successfully dealt a ma.s.sive blow onto Ao Chen’s body, but he was also injured by Ao Chen’s claws in the process.
Both parties were of vastly different sizes, yet the extent of that new injury was just as dire for either of them.
Both parties glowered at the other.
Ao Chen’s eyes were far larger than Lu Xuan’s entire body, and they seemed to harbor the intense desire to tear him apart alive.
Lu Xuan panted slightly as well. That was actually the first time he was injured ever since his reincarnation.
n.o.body had ever been able to fight him to such an extent in their lifetime, but the fight nonetheless was deemed nothing special to him. He had been fighting countless life and death battles in his past life, after all.
“I’ll kill you!”
The demonic aura in the dragon’s eyes had gotten even more profound, which indicated that it had gotten even deeper into its demonic state. Even so, being at state wasn’t much help in bringing down Lu Xuan. The fact that both sides ended up injured was an insult like no other.
The intensity of its demonic state had grown even higher.
Lu Xuan casually said, “Heh, it’s been quite a while since I’ve last been injured. I genuinely don’t know whether or not I should commend you for this.”
Despite Lu Xuan’s casual tone as he spoke, his words felt like crus.h.i.+ng blows on the hearts of countless people.
“You’re the first to be able to harm me in this lifetime,” Lu Xuan commented casually. Everyone saw a golden-colored Spiritual Aether being sprayed. It was a healing power that he used for treating the wound.
The power instantly dispelled all of the lingering demonic qi on his body.
As new flesh was regrown, he had almost completely recovered from his injury in a short amount of time.
That was a type of power used for healing that Lu Xuan mastered back in his previous life: the Qingdi Regeneration Chant.
That power was a type of “divine art”, the most supreme type of powers in the universe. Such powers were almost identical to the very fundamental nature of the Great Path.
Divine arts were considered to be among the most powerful abilities. It was said that there were 99 types of divine arts in total.
Acquisition of any one type was said to enable one to uplift and strengthen a clan’s destiny and heritage.
The Qingdi Regeneration Chant was known among the 99 types to be the one that excelled in healing powers. It was also known to be the most powerful divine art for healing.
It was a kind of divine art that originated from the rules of wood among the concept of the Five Elements.
In his previous life, that was also one of the divine arts that he acquired early on albeit by accident. Had it not been for the Qingdi Regeneration Chant, Lu Xuan probably wouldn’t have been able to survive all those gruesome battles he fought back in his past life. That was why in situations where he faced overwhelming odds stacked against him, he could always tip the scales in his favor.
He had been able to do all of that due to the unbelievable power of the Qingdi Regeneration Chant.
Because Lu Xuan had never met anyone before who was capable of ever harming him, let alone to such an extent, he hardly ever used that art since his reincarnation.
Countless people were still reeling from how fast Lu Xuan recovered from his injury. That was when they noticed that he was using near the full extent of his powers from using a divine art.
That also meant that at that point, Lu Xuan planned to end the fight as soon as possible because using a divine art had greatly depleted his reserves.
While he was still able to expend so much of his energy, he didn’t want the fight against Ao Chen to be dragged out any longer. That was why he used a divine art in the first place.
“Ao Chen, I’ll bring you to your knees with just three moves from here on out!”
As Lu Xuan shouted this, the Spiritual Aether all over his body boiled. It had almost completely emptied from his body in an instant as boundless...o...b.. of light danced before him.
A vaguely ma.s.sive shadow was then seen immediately appearing right behind him. The figure was seen wearing imperial garb and standing tall. A terrifying demonic qi gushed from him.
“Great Seal of Imperial Demon!”
Lu Xuan then extended his hand outward right away, with his attack conjured into an enormous palm print heading straight for Ao Chen.
At that moment, he felt like some kind of demon G.o.d.
“What? How is that even possible!?”
Ao Chen immediately felt a terrifying pressure bearing down on it. The dragon was of a level higher than Lu Xuan, yet its aura and might were completely outmatched by Lu Xuan.
The dragon was even able to sense a terrifying aura about Lu Xuan that completely overwhelmed it, preventing it from being able to fight back at all.
It sensed just how impossibly terrifying that silhouette behind Lu Xuan truly was. It was as if it was some kind of sovereign among demons.
With that said, it was completely oblivious to the fact that Lu Xuan was using a supreme divine art known as the Imperial Demon Heaven’s Son Chant, one of the three most supreme divine arts amongst the demons.
The Great Seal of Imperial Demon was one of the attacks made available by the chant. The silhouette seen appearing behind Lu Xuan was the true body of the Imperial Demon Heaven’s Son, conjured by someone practicing the supreme divine art. That figure was capable of becoming the emperor among all demons when honed to the fullest potential, which was why it was commonly known as the Demon Emperor.
As such, that divine art was able to almost overpower anyone practicing demonic arts. Anyone who practiced such arts would almost be guaranteed to succ.u.mb to the Imperial Demon Heaven’s Son’s influence.
There was simply no demon that could resist the might of one who reigned supreme over all demons.
Despite Ao Chen’s level being higher than Lu Xuan’s, it was still suppressed by Lu Xuan.
It was similar to the overwhelming power pa.s.sed down through one’s bloodline among the demonic beings. The dragons were of the highest bloodline amongst all of the demonic beings, while any who was of bloodline any lower than that of the old dragon would be easily overwhelmed by it.
In reality, Lu Xuan did not practice the art after gaining it back in his past life. Due to his vista and sheer power as a Celestial Lord, however, taking a quick look over the art was all it took for him to master it.
Boom!
The palm print slapped onto Ao Chen’s body, causing the dragon to cry out in pain.
