Chapter 530: WuTang Tournament
Lu Xuan had been waiting for Yan Han to arrive.
He did not know if Yan Han would show up.
Things at the moment were different from how they were back in his past life. Back then, those of the Blessed Enclave had yet to arrive in the current era. back in his past life. The Earth’s restoration was also far from reaching the point where those from the Blessed Enclave were allowed to return.
In the current era, the restoration of spirit qi continued to accelerate. Compared to how it had been in his past life, the advent of those from the Blessed Enclave had occurred way earlier than expected.
Under such circ.u.mstances, Lu Xuan had no way of determining whether or not Yan Han would’ve shown up on Earth in the current era.
Lu Xuan simply kept waiting for Yan Han to show up.
He deemed it imperative to just keep waiting, so much so that he just watched from afar and refrained from doing anything while those from the Blessed Enclave went about wreaking havoc.
He did not want to scare Yan Han away. He had been entangled with Yan Han for a very long time back in his past life, bringing their battles all the way up to the cosmos. He had only been able to finally slay Yan Han after ages pa.s.sed.
He simply had no intentions of fighting with Yan Han for so long in his current lifetime.
He knew that Yan Han was not only extremely gifted but also unnervingly brutal. If they didn’t dispose Yan Han with one strike, it would’ve only been harder for him to do so later on.
As such, he was determined to kill Yan Han the second they first laid eyes on each other.
Ming Yueyao left, seeming satisfied by Lu Xuan’s determined answer.
Three days pa.s.sed. To the surprise of everyone in the world, the Heavenly Palace did not release any statement.
The meeting organized by those from the Blessed Enclave was held in the WuTang Mountains, which was a well-known Taoist location.
Those of the WuTang Mountains also seemed like they were preparing to come back stronger than ever.
Fighters from all corners of the world gathered there.
The meeting was of such a high status that those deemed to be common folk did not have the right to attend the meeting.
Even those of the first to the third tiers of Divine Treasure Realm were barred from entering the mountains. They were only allowed to attend the banquets outside of the mountains.
That was because while the place was indeed vast, it would have been filled to the brim if that many people were allowed inside.
Other than cultivators of extremely high caliber, a lot of renowned political, commercial, and military figures attended the meeting as well. It went without saying that such figures were not allowed inside; they were only allowed to stay outside the mountains.
Even then, the WuTang Mountains were still as rowdy as ever. Many sensed powerful auras from cultivators lurking about like beasts waiting to pounce on their prey.
Fighters at the Divine Treasure Realm were more than capable of becoming top-notch figures capable of reigning supreme over a certain territory elsewhere. In the WuTang Mountains, however, being at Divine Treasure Realm was not considered to be that impressive.
Many were surprised to find that even the receptionists from the WuTang Mountains were all supreme fighters at the Divine Treasure Realms.
What they saw kept a lot of people in check.
It could’ve been said that at that event, those of the WuTang Mountains gathered the best of the best.
“What’s with the guys from the WuTang Clan? Are they that determined to side with the Blessed Enclave and renounce their role in the Human Alliance?”
“What other choice do they have? We all know that those at the Blessed Enclave are of the true lineage; the ones left on Earth are only considered a branch. The branch could have called themselves orthodox without the true orthodox being around. Since those of the true lineage returned, however, the branch lost any say in the matter.”
“d.a.m.n, they have worked for centuries just for someone else to swoop in and take everything from them. If I were them, I wouldn’t be able to bear it, either.”
“So what if they can’t take what happened? It’s not like they had a way of resisting in the first place.”
Everyone throughout the venue raved on about the matter.
“I wonder if Lu Xuan himself will show up this time.”
“I think he still would. No one else would be able to keep things in check otherwise after all. 10 fighters at the ninth tier of Divine Treasure Realm are too much for anyone else to handle.”
“h.e.l.l, we’re barred from entering the venue while the media live broadcasting the event are allowed. Those of the Blessed Enclave sure know our trends well.”
Everyone kept talking about the matter, but they knew the Blessed Enclave’s true intentions; they were probably thinking about demonstrating their power for everyone via live broadcasts.
After all, such a convenient way of doing things saved them a lot of time. They did not have to attack and conquer the cities one by one.
While those at the lower tiers of the Divine Treasure Realm were kept outside, everyone else at mid to higher tiers was being welcomed and escorted into the venue.
All manner of delectable cuisine was put out on display at the True Force Plaza, yet none who attended the event cared about the dishes before them.
It was especially so with the fighters from the Human Alliance, who either showed up one at a time or in droves.
However, none of them dared to throw their authority around the place. They all kept their auras in check. People of all skin colors, cultivation lineages, and methods showed up at the event.
n.o.body dared to misbehave.
That was because everyone knew about the old Taoist sitting on the master’s seat with a sword on his back.
That man was the sectmaster from the WuTang branch in the Blessed Enclave, Zhang Qingming.
He was so terrifyingly powerful that he had been waging war against the entire Region of j.a.pan all on his own. He had yet to meet someone who was at his level.
Everyone knew that the cultivators from j.a.pan were still extremely powerful. While they paled in comparison to those from the Region of Huaxia, the j.a.panese cultivators were still ranked among the top in the entire world.
Even so, one such figure was able to turn the entire world of cultivators in that region upside-down with a single slash of a sword. What made the man so utterly terrifying was the fact that everyone fell from being hit once with his sword, from Onmyoji to Buddhist masters.
With such an extremely powerful fighter keeping things in check, hardly anyone even dared to think about making a scene at the venue.
Dragon and Ming Yueyao, the Chief and Vice Chief of the Special Task Force, came together before long. Many people rose to greet them. While the Special Task Force was nowhere near as renowned throughout the world as the Heavenly Palace, the organization was still among the most powerful.
After greeting the crowd, he was escorted into the venue by a receptionist Taoist, taking a seat somewhere not far away from Zhang Qingming.
Suddenly, someone else then showed up at the True Force Plaza.
A crisp-clear voice was heard saying with a rather authoritative tone, “Are you people of the WuTang Clan trying to go against the Human Alliance?”
Everyone took a good look at the one who came. They saw a girl looking to be in her late teens, dressed in all-black attire and looking rather funny.
Someone noted, “It’s Yun Ling’er the Demon Girl!”
Yun Ling’er may have been practicing demonic methods, but she did not look all that ferocious and weird for someone practicing such methods.
Then again, she was still known as the ‘Demon Girl’ stuck.
She was almost the complete opposite of Lu Shanshan.
Many disciples of the WuTang Clan tensed upon hearing the question.
Going against the Human Alliance was a very heinous crime, after all.
