Chapter 569: The Slaughter Continues
The concept of ‘Taichu’ denoted the chaotic state that everything was where it was when the world first existed.
The silhouette that appeared before everyone’s eyes was a manifestation of the very concept of chaos itself.
That silhouette cast immense pressure over everyone as soon as it appeared.
This terrifying manifestation was unleashed thanks to the joint efforts of many people from the Taichu Path.
“It’s here. The Taichu Overlord.”
Many were left stunned; they immediately knew what that ent.i.ty was.
It was none other than an ultimate spell practiced by those of the Taichu Path called the Taichu Overlord.
That was a spell unlike any other, especially given that it was an ent.i.ty unleashed by a group of top-notch fighters. The resulting aura and might unleashed even managed to slightly shake the entire place.
In the current era, only a handful of people were capable of forcing the hands of fighters of the Taichu Path to such an extent. This was because of the powers wielded and status enjoyed by the Taichu Path in the Blessed Enclave.
That terrifying ent.i.ty was clad in chaotic qi, giving off a vague air of intimidation.
Lu Xuan maintained his serious expression as he stood at the opposite side of the ent.i.ty, yet he kept his hands behind his back and simply looked at the Taichu Overlord with a cold face.
The Auric Flower above him continued to cycle about as if nothing happened.
Lu Xuan casually asked, “The Taichu Overlord?” He had no doubt known of the skill. Due to the years he spent tangling with Yan Han, he became very familiar with both the martial and arcane arts that those of the Taichu Path practiced.
With that said, he definitely knew about the Taichu Overlord as well. That was a kind of spell manifested by martial will. The resulting overwhelming mental force from that spell alone was more than enough to pin down someone’s opponent.
Things could get so severe for the user’s opponent that they would become unable to even perform at 50 percent capacity. Anyone weaker, like common people, would have probably lost all strength just from one look from the ent.i.ty.
Meanwhile, the golden light on Lu Xuan burst at the same time. was manifested into a golden dragon before the eyes of the spectators present. The spectators watched as the golden light manifested into a golden dragon.
The golden dragon was over ten kilometers long, swimming about like a ma.s.sive dragon out to destroy the world.
The golden dragon stood against the silhouette of Taichu.
The dragon was a manifestation of Lu Xuan’s very own mental power. It was being pitted against the specter of the Taichu Overlord spell.
Everyone watched as Lu Xuan’s golden dragon suddenly lashed out with a claw, grabbing at the air. It conjured a sword out of the ambient spirit qi, which measured several kilometers long.
Roar!
The golden dragon roared at the sky, immediately bring the sword down onto the Taichu Overlord.
Boom!
The entire place shook violently. Everyone felt that the sword that came down was more than a sword; they felt as if they were facing off against a ferocious beast out to end the world like no other.
The sword was brought down at extreme speeds, yet the move looked extremely slow to everyone watching. To put it more precisely, it was an effect resulting from their state of being frozen. This enabled them to magnify the phenomenon to the extreme.
It made a millisecond seem as long as a year.
A century felt like only a single second, however, when the sword finally came down on that manifestation of Taichu.
At that moment, the fighters of Taichu Path immediately shouted to each other, “Attach incoming! Brace yourselves!”
It was not that they did not want to make the first move, but that Lu Xuan was simply too quick to react.
When they were just about to have the Taichu ent.i.ty attack Lu Xuan, Lu Xuan had already commanded the golden dragon to strike first.
The wind howled all over the place as that terrifying aura from the sword engulfed everything in its path.
The blade directly hit the Taichu ent.i.ty.
In response, the Taichu ent.i.ty equipped some of its armor. However, the armor was also immediately shattered as soon as the sword came down on it.
The Taichu ent.i.ty shrieked the second he was. .h.i.t by the sword, being immediately cleaved into two halves. Everyone watched as it dispersed in a burst of spirit qi.
Whoos.h.!.+
The spirit qi that allowed the Taichu ent.i.ty to manifest spread all over the place, raining down like a storm shortly before falling to the ground and dissipating without a trace. Everyone saw a huge crater that the terrifying attack had left in its wake.
The spirit qi that rained down on the ground seemed more like artillery falling from the sky rather than drops of water.
Pfftt! Pfft! Pfft!
The fighters from the Taichu Path were sent flying back, spitting blood upon contact with the attack.
Even the two fighters they had who were half a step into the Divine Treasure Realm suffered the same fate.
While that ent.i.ty was incredibly mighty, the recoil from its destruction was also incredibly severe.
Some of the weakest fighters of Taichu Path immediately died from the recoil, their bodies exploding immediately.
The slash cleaved through the barrier and landed onto the ground below, resulting in a terrifying creva.s.se measuring over a kilometer long. Over a dozen fighters from Taichu Path failed to evade the attack before being cleaved in half.
Even those who were only caught in the shockwave of the slash were immediately vaporized with everyone else watching.
None of them had ever antic.i.p.ated the dragon that Lu Xuan conjured to be so utterly terrifying.
The golden dragon that resided in Lu Xuan’s mental world actually combined with the Auric Flower to allow such a terrifying thing to manifest before everyone. None of those present were able to fight against it or even slow its attacks down for a second.
“That… that’s just so scary. Just how does that guy manage something like that?”
“Who the h.e.l.l is he?”
“Given his current age, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him become something like those grand ancestors at the Divine Transformation Realm.”
Many were shocked by the terrifying might that came from the attack, but some other people quickly noticed something else.
Lu Xuan’s aura was considerably drained after conjuring one such move, with his reserves being apparently depleted.
That golden dragon behind Lu Xuan disappeared without a trace shortly afterward.
It was then that they realized that Lu Xuan was still an ordinary human and not a living deity. Despite his ma.s.sive aura reserve, he was still unable to keep up with the drainage that resulted from pulling such an attack.
Boom!
Just when everyone was still reeling from the shock, one elder of the Taichu Path was bisected by a blast of sword aura raining down from above.
That elder was unable to even react.
Lu Xuan did not let the achievement of cleaving the Taichu Overlord get to his head. Instead, he launched his next attack immediately.
It took only mere seconds for him to kill over a dozen more fighters from Taichu Path.
Lu Xuan did not move at all. He remained hovering in midair while over a dozen beams of sword qi gathered around him before being unleashed right away.
Every single blast killed a top-notch fighter of the Taichu Path.
At the sight of other elders dying before they could even lay a finger on Lu Xuan, one elder of the Taichu Path shouted in rage, “No, you can’t do this!”
The scene was so harrowing that it felt like his eyes were bleeding.
