Chapter 571: Utter Collapse of the Forces of the Taichu Path
That one punch had annihilated the vice sectmaster of the Taichu Path, whose powers had been vastly boosted before this.
That move was no doubt extremely ferocious, paralyzing everyone where they stood in fear.
The way they saw it, Lu Xuan seemed to have become even more terrifying than before.
n.o.body was sure that he could kill someone who was half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm with just a single hit; the probability of requiring a second hit being rather high.
Of course, that itself was already terrifying enough.
However, that state was deemed far inferior to Lu Xuan’s current state.
The vice sectmaster of the Taichu Path had cranked his powers to the very extreme after taking the pill, becoming at least twice as powerful as he was before. Even then, he was literally disintegrated by just a single punch from Lu Xuan.
That was some terrifying level of powers.
n.o.body could believe what they just saw. All everyone could think was, “How was that possible?”
It seemed as if Lu Xuan had not suffered any signs of degradation after overtaxing his reserves from overusing the Auric Flower in those intense battles.
He had instead become even more frightening than before.
Lu Xuan was the only one who knew that things had truly just happened to be in his favor.
It was true that the vice Sectmaster’s powers had been amplified by over two folds after his level of Spiritual Aether burst. However, looks could be deceiving.
Having made use of such means back in his past life, he knew all too well just how utterly hazardous such a move that made one seemed unmatched truly was.
Having so much energy running out of control in one’s body was no different from planting a bomb inside oneself.
Unless a fighter was taking on someone whose power level was far below their own, the former could easily fail to suppress the Spiritual Aether energy running berserk in one’s own body.
In turn, this would’ve resulted in a severe backlash from the immense amount of Spiritual Aether that would kill them.
Lu Xuan had been able to barely keep everything together only because of the unparalleled const.i.tution granted by his Born Taoism Apt.i.tude.
He would have most likely met the same fate as vice sectmaster he was fighting moments ago otherwise, whose power seemed unmatched. Even then, just stopping one attack from such a frightening opponent would’ve resulted in a backlash devastating enough to destroy his body altogether.
Under the circ.u.mstances where the forces of the punches from both sides were equally strong, the recoil from such an attack would naturally have been devastating.
Lu Xuan’s Born Taoism Apt.i.tude gave his body such unmatched resilience that he was able to cast a spell as astonis.h.i.+ng as the Auric Flower. As such, he was naturally fine with such recoil.
However, the same could not be said with the other side.
The vice Sectmaster’s body crumbled right away.
All the remaining fighters from Taichu Path thought about the possibility of killing someone who was half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm with just a single blow. That thought alone had thoroughly frightened them all to their cores.
They saw a glimpse of hope in their vice Sectmaster, only for it to be quickly crushed as quickly as it appeared. What happened was worse than having never seen hope right from the beginning.
“Run!”
Lu Xuan’s killing streak had shattered the nerves of the remaining fighters. As a result, they all bolted right away.
One could see all of one’s compatriots drop like flies and yet remain completely unfazed.
However, all of the survivors were so badly beaten psychologically that all that they could think of was to run.
Lu Xuan was immediately troubled by what he saw. His current level of combat prowess was clearly the same as that of someone at either the Divine Transformation Realm or the ninth tier of the Divine Treasure Realm.
Even then, he still was not at Divine Transformation Realm.
If he were truly at the Divine Transformation Realm by now, he would have been easily able to clap them all to death without giving them a chance to escape.
All he could at the moment was kill as many of them as he could; this would’ve allowed him to inflict as much damage to taichu Path as possible.
Everyone else was baffled by the sight of all of Taichu Path’s supposedly formidable fighters running away with their tails between their legs.
None of them had ever witnessed something so bizarre in their lives before.
Those of Taichu Path had been reigning supreme throughout the place for ages. They had never been so miserably defeated before.
Normally, those of Taichu Path had always been the ones causing others to run with their tails between their legs.
It was a scene that one would probably not be able to witness even once in centuries.
At that moment, Lu Xuan locked his gaze onto the last remaining cultivator who was half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm.
That man was not actually from Taichu Path, but he still shared a very close relations.h.i.+p with them; he was the one who established an affiliated sect of Taichu Path.
That man had been fighting with Taichu Path since the very beginning of the fight.
Lu Xuan raised his hand right away, shrouding the place in dark clouds and harboring a ma.s.sive lighting dragon within.
The dragon then immediately charged with a roar, running down as many of those fleeing fighters from Taichu Path as it could. It took only seconds for several of them who had not been able to evade in time to be roasted and reduced to mists of blood and flesh by the ma.s.sive bolt of electricity.
Nothing was stronger than this lightning dragon. That was why it was Lu Xuan’s true to-go weapon whenever he was vastly outnumbered in a fight.
Lu Xuan finally made his move while that lightning dragon continued to chase after the fleeing fighters of the Taichu Path. Although he remained very cautious, he charged straight at the fighter who was half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm.
That fighter noticed that Lu Xuan had his will locked onto him, causing all of the hairs on his body to immediately stand in response. He couldn’t help but feel as if some ancient, ferocious beast now had him in its sights.
That was utterly terrifying.
“Guess I have no choice, then.”
Considering the circ.u.mstances he found himself in, the man finally realized that it was near impossible for him to escape.
Lu Xuan set his sights on him, intending to thoroughly handle him. The chances of being able to escape were virtually nonexistent.
He burned his Spiritual Aether after seeing himself utterly cornered, charging at Lu Xuan as he shouted.
Boom!
A terrifying flash of his blade came down right away. The entire place shook violently due to that being an attack from someone who was half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm.
Many felt as if the attack was able to come down on them even though they were standing extremely far away from the attack.
However, Lu Xuan showed no signs of fear. He immediately grabbed at that beam that was several kilometers long.
Boom!
Lu Xuan caught the incoming flash of the blade firmly in his hand, which began to slowly crumble. The attack that was terrifying enough to split mountains was unable to hurt Lu Xuan at all. On the contrary, Lu Xuan crushed it with a single grasp.
The attack did not even manage to even leave a dent in his s.h.i.+eld of Great Aether.
Run!
The man who was half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm turned and ran outside immediately. That attack was but a feint right from the start, as he did not expect himself to be able to fight Lu Xuan at all.
He saw with his own eyes what happened to the vice Sectmaster of the Taichu Path, who had been utterly disintegrated almost with nothing but a single punch from Lu Xuan.
Back when the vice Sectmaster’s body was on the verge of utter collapse, it still allowed Lu Xuan to show off his unparalleled combat prowess.
However, his speed remained inferior to Lu Xuan. The latter took a single step and disappeared from where he stood right away.
When Lu Xuan appeared again, he was already right behind that fighter who was half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm.
It looked as if Lu Xuan had teleported.
Every single step Lu Xuan took was capable of covering over a kilometer.
He mastered such movement methods fully. It was not that he was unable to cover further distances, but only that his body would not allow it.
He brandished his Dragonslayer and immediately cleaved that man who was still in midair in half. Blood sprayed everywhere as the other man died an immediate, gruesome death.
The last cultivator who was half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm was dead.
