Chapter 747: The Sacred Ancestor was Impressed

Lu Xuan thought the story sounded rather familiar.
He raised his brow; to him, it felt like the same story that his mother told him about how she went from the Holy Sun Continent to go to Earth.
“At first, I thought about finding ways to return to my original world, but the blood devil invaded the place. I stayed back and ended up fighting the blood devil for the rest of my life.”
The sacred ancestor stood with his hands behind his back and sighed. He probably never expected at the very start that he was going to stay around until his death.
He had even left his born Taoism apt.i.tude behind.
The physique had been something that originated from other worlds. That was when Lu Xuan then recalled something that he had learned back in his past life. If the sacred ancestor was telling the truth, then everything would’ve made sense.
He once ran into people who had born Taoism apt.i.tude. It was through them that he learned what the true name of his bloodline was.
He didn’t think much of it back then. After thinking about it now, however, he knew that the sacred ancestor was likely a descendant of those people. The sacred ancestor must’ve accidentally ended up on the Holy Sun Continent and left his bloodline behind, which then spread to Earth through Lu Xuan’s mother, Liu Wanrong.
After taking his time connecting the dots and thinking about many things that seemed out of place, Lu Xuan managed to find answers to his questions. He believed that he had found the secret behind it all.
The sacred ancestor then said, “Enough of that. Those are all old stories.”
Lu Xuan said, “Sacred ancestor, what kind of secret rests in this Sacred Ancestral Stele? I heard that it is very important to those of the sacred bloodline.”
The sacred ancestor waved and said, “Nothing much. It’s just using the powers that I’ve sealed all those years ago to help my descendants cleanse their bodies and accelerate their growth.”
The sacred ancestor added, “It’s true that the born Taoism apt.i.tude was one of the most formidable bloodlines in the world. Even so, this is still something that had to be developed by putting in the effort. Unlike those who were innately born with it and lived up to the prestige that their physique granted them, I had to develop mine after birth. All that was left was to complete the physique’s development, which required continuous effort to cleanse and upgrade. Without my help, it would be more difficult for you people to develop your bloodline further. I’m just here to help you all do that.”
What the sacred ancestor just said would’ve baffled most people, but Lu Xuan naturally knew what he was talking about.
Those with born Taoism apt.i.tude were said to have G.o.dlike physiques; such bodies were deemed worthy for only the G.o.ds.
However, born Taoism apt.i.tude was far from being the only kind of special physique. Yan Han, whom Lu Xuan cut down a long time ago, had a special physique as well. It was just that Yan Han’s physique had been far less developed than that of Lu Xuan, which was why he eventually lost to Lu Xuan.
Such special physiques were divided into innate ones and acquired ones.
The so-called acquired ones were those like Lu Xuan’s, which was not something that one would’ve inherently have had at birth. The bloodline was awakened later in life through one circ.u.mstance or another.
This physique would then be awakened the second time, the third time, and so on during one’s long journey into cultivation, enabling one’s physique to be gradually developed to perfection.
The other type was the truly exceedingly rare type, which came inherently so.
Differing from those acquired later in life and pa.s.sed down through bloodlines, such type of G.o.dlike physiques had no signs and didn’t rely on blood lineages. It was just something that appeared in different worlds and different people randomly.
The physiques of such people were known as Innate G.o.dly Physiques. Every type of special physique could be traced back to the Innate G.o.dly Physique. It was like those who were born with extremely unfathomable luck were just born with such special physiques that were then pa.s.sed down the bloodlines.
In contrast, those who acquired their G.o.dly Physique needed their blood to be continuously diluted to form new bloodlines, which were then developed to near perfection. This was different from those with Innate G.o.dly Physiques, who already perfect at birth.
Those with Innate G.o.dly Physiques had perfect bodies at birth, which was why they became the template of cultivation of all types of G.o.dlike physiques out there.
The development of lives through the cultivation of those with G.o.dlike physiques was just a sign of atavism.
When Lu Xuan became a Celestial Lord during his past life, he had reached the achievement of his ancestor. He had even surpa.s.sed the first generation of the one with born Taoism apt.i.tude, creating his very own cultivation system.
The first generation paled in comparison to a Celestial Lord; they were at two completely different levels.
“Other than that, it is to pa.s.s down cultivation methods. Knowing you, however, you probably have created your own by now and don’t need the sutras I’m supposed to pa.s.s down.”
The sacred ancestor looked at Lu Xuan. Despite being only a spirit, he could still tell that Lu Xuan was superior to him. It seemed as if Lu Xuan was equipped with some kind of cultivation system that was exceptionally advanced.
“Speaking of which, I have created a specific cultivation method called the Innate Sacred Sutra. Since you’re around, would you mind taking a look at it for me?” Lu Xuan said and flicked his finger, sending a beam inside the sacred ancestor’s mind.
The sacred ancestor read the piece and couldn’t help but rub his hands as he sang his compliments. “This is incredible. The sutra that I’ve practiced is nothing compared to this Innate Sacred Sutra!”
The sacred ancestor then added, “The method that I trained in was developed by the first person with born Taoism apt.i.tude. Much of it was lost throughout the ages, but those of the later generations filled in the blanks. Even if the method had been in its original, complete form, I dare say that it would be far less in-depth than this Innate Sacred Sutra.”
Lu Xuan nodded. That was a given since his level was far higher than the first person with born Taoism apt.i.tude. Not everyone with Innate G.o.dly Physiques was capable of becoming Celestial Lords. There were at least 100 times as many more people with Innate G.o.dly Physical than Celestial Lords at any given age. There was no contest between the two.
Lu Xuan had reached supremacy through his understanding of the Great Path. As far as his understanding of the Great Path was concerned, he was far superior to said first generation.
The Innate Sacred Sutra that he created would only be far more formidable than what the first person with born Taoism apt.i.tude could create.
“Ugh, why didn’t I realize that something like this had existed back then? If this had been the method that I trained with, I would have been able to reach higher levels and wouldn’t have met my doom under the hands of many blood devil fighters out there.” The sacred ancestor was frustrated that he didn’t get to learn something that was so much more formidable; if he did, his achievements would have been far greater.
“Still, I’d be happy to have died if it means I could read something so magnificent after my death!” The sacred ancestor rubbed his hands and grinned.
The sacred ancestor continued, “Since you’ve already developed such a cultivation system, there’s little else that I could do for you. I could sense that you seem to be undergoing a nirvana transformation. Allow me to help you with that so you can reach nirvana as soon as possible.
He then added, “Actually, I wouldn’t be of much help to you. It would seem that nowadays, the younger ones are far more powerful than their predecessors. The young had truly surpa.s.sed the old.”
A terrifying power surged into Lu Xuan’s body as soon as the sacred ancestor finished talking. This power was accelerating his process of reaching nirvana.
