Chapter 774: Because She had Faith
With that, the old man went down the stairs. Yu Qin and the rest in the living room didn’t seem to see him.
Su Huiqing stood at the stairway and watched him leave. She slowly lowered her head. Her phone was still lit up. Qu Yan had sent a message, asking when she was leaving.
Su Huiqing looked down at this message. After a long while, she turned off her phone. She glanced at the crowd downstairs and turned to enter the room.
Downstairs, Qu Yan, Yu Qin, and the rest were still playing Fight the Landlord.
“I am no longer the same person as before.” Yu Qin was about to throw away the four ‘twos’ and end her turn when Qu Yan raised her brows. “I have a trump card. Are you sure you want to do this?”
Yu Qin paused and hesitated.
Qu Yan was a little smug. She didn’t expect Yu Yan to throw down four 9s. He was on Yu Qin’s side so Yu Qin naturally wouldn’t blow him up. He was then left with a consecutive card.
This stunned Qu Yan. Yu Qin looked at the cards in her hand. There was only one Little w.a.n.g.
Yu Qin immediately reacted. “Wow, you lied to me just now?”
Qu Yan glanced at Yu Qin. “I lied to you out of goodwill. Why don’t you believe me?”
Qingqing had used this move so well, but why did it not work for her?
Yu Qin and the rest of the foolish children had already grown up and could no longer be deceived. It was better to let Gu Li and Qingqing help. Thinking up to this point, she looked at Gu Li and was about to say something when she saw Gu Li frown.
“Yu Qin, are you sure Qingqing is upstairs?” Gu Li looked at Yu Qin.
Yu Qin didn’t even raise her head. “That’s right. She’s probably resting.”
Yu Xiangyang could tell that there was something wrong with Gu Li’s voice. He frowned slightly. “Did something happen?”
“No.” Gu Li stood up from the sofa and closed the laptop in his hand. He looked at Yu Qin. “Go open the door. I think she is not around anymore.”
It didn’t matter if she wasn’t there. Yu Qin was about to ask why Miss Su was in a hurry to leave without a trace when she saw Qu Yan and the rest suddenly become serious. She paused and went up to open the door.
After the door opened, she realized that Su Huiqing was not in the room.
Gu Li picked up his phone and contacted Dugu Yusheng. Yu Qin looked at the three of them, who instantly became serious, and finally realized that something was wrong. She had not seen Yu s.h.i.+jin for a day.
…
The others could not contact Su Huiqing, but Chi Yue hacked Su Huiqing’s communications device. He seemed to know something from Dugu Yusheng.
“Don’t be rash. Master Yu might be fine when we are together.” Chi Yue sounded anxious. “Wait for us for half a day!”
Su Huiqing looked at the familiar border defense of the International a.s.sociation and slowly stopped the fighter jet. She glanced at the transceiver and said softly, “Chi Yue, I can’t afford to lose half a day.”
Chi Yue didn’t answer, and Su Huiqing didn’t wait for it either. She cut off the walkie-talkie, threw it outside, and went straight to the Yu Family.
The Yu Family was no different from before. Old Master Yu was still in seclusion, and she was received by the butler.
“Miss Su, this is the study room.” The butler respectfully brought Su Huiqing to the study room.
Su Huiqing stood at the door and nodded slightly. “You may leave.”
With that, he slowly pushed open the study room door, his face expressionless.
From there on, she was alone. No matter what, it was the same. In the past, she had no backing or teammates. There had never been a savior in this world, but she had faith.
