The SUV had fully showcased its shock absorption performance. Regardless of how b.u.mpy the stone-laden road was, they could not feel it from inside the car.

Following the path of the road, the car entered an unexplored mountain. Trees surrounded them, and the air was fresh.

The SUV stopped halfway up the mountain.

"Wow... There's a waterfall!" Ye Qiao was distracted by the scenery. Apart from the lush greenery and clear water, a grand waterfall cascaded down from the sky!

It had been so long since she witnessed such a beautiful sight!

She unbuckled her seatbelt and reached for the door. However, Beixiao pulled her back into his arms. He had already adjusted the s.p.a.ce between his seat and the steering wheel, so Ye Qiao fell right into his arms.

"Ding ding ding---"

The ringtone came from her backpack, accompanied by vibration.

Ye Qiao jumped, and Beixiao was so angry that he sounded like he wanted to kill the caller.

"It's... it's my cellphone..." The abrupt noise shook her back to her senses, and she could not help but complain silently!

Ye Qiao really wanted to ignore it, but it rang again. She looked at Beixiao and then looked at her backpack.

"It better not be Du Jun! That idiot!" Beixiao said in frustration.

Apart from giving him cars that Beixiao liked, that idiot had never done anything that Beixiao appreciated!

Still, Beixiao had great discipline. The second time the ringtone rang, he took Ye Qiao's backpack and searched for her cellphone. He poured everything out and finally found it.

The cellphone was different from mobile phones from the future. It was just a 'brick' with no screen, so they could not tell who the caller was until the call was answered.

Beixiao handed the phone to Ye Qiao.

He calmed down, eventually, as Ye Qiao took the phone.

"h.e.l.lo---" Ye Qiao took a deep breath and cleared her throat as she answered. She was afraid that the caller would be able to tell what she was doing!

"Qiao Qiao, it's your grandpa! Have you arrived yet?" Grandpa's voice was loud and clear.

s.h.i.+t! It's grandpa!

Caught red-handed, Ye Qiao lost her mood entirely. If grandpa did not call, they really were going to...

"Grandpa! I've already arrived. I saw Ye Cheng, but he's playing basketball with his friends, so I am just watching!" Worried that grandpa would ask Ye Cheng to answer the phone, Ye Qiao quickly came up with an excuse.

"Qiao Qiao, did that rascal bully you?" Grandpa was afraid that the two still held grudges from the past.

Ye Cheng? Bully her?!

Ye Qiao laughed silently. With Xiao protecting her, it was more likely that she would be the one to bully Ye Cheng!

"Grandpa, we reconciled long ago. Don't worry! Besides, my brother isn't that petty!" Ye Qiao said.

"That's good. Go and play. Treat each other nicely; don't be like last time! Ye Cheng is not that stubborn; just be softer, and he would definitely buy it. If he doesn't, I will give him a lesson when he comes back!" Grandpa was still worried and wanted to make sure the two got along.

Ye Qiao laughed silently again. She did not even talk to him!

"Grandpa, don't you worry, he's very nice to me!" She said quickly.

After a while, the call ended.

Luckily, grandpa did not ask Ye Cheng to answer the phone. He just told Ye Qiao to go home before the sun sets and be careful.

Ye Qiao let out a sigh of relief and looked out of the window. She saw that Beixiao was smoking a cigarette not far away.

She tidied her s.h.i.+rt up and ran towards him. Hugging him from behind, she asked, "Xiao, are you angry?"

How could a young, healthy man not be angry after being interrupted?!
