Upon hearing Mu Heyuan’s words, Mu Siyin smiled until her eyes squinted into a line. “Okay. Let’s eat now and get down to business after that.”

Breakfast that day tasted better than usual. To be honest, Mu Siyin was not very confident with her plan, but she still managed to put on a show for Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu.

The look on their faces was worth all the trouble.

She vowed to make their lives more miserable day by day.

After she finished her breakfast, Mu Siyin clapped once and announced that she would be off to meet Lu Jingchen. This made Old Madam Mu and Mu Heyuan overjoyed. In fact, Mu Heyuan was so elated that he said something unexpected. “Do you need me to give you a ride there?”

Mu Siyin put up a fake smile. “That’s fine. Just go to the company and transfer the shares to my name.”

Then, she left the room in quick strides.

Why should they give her so many shares?

The thought of Mu Xingyu getting nothing was driving her insane.

Mu Heyuan raised his hand to adjust the golden rim of his gla.s.ses. His voice was deep when he said, “We have no choice but to transfer her the shares first.”

It was obvious that he had no idea what would happen after he transferred the shares.

Li Tongzhi noticed how annoyed Mu Xingyu looked and tugged on the hem of her sleeves. “We have to transfer the shares to her to save Mu Corporation, Xingyu. We can always take it back after this crisis.”

Mu Xingyu let out a faint grunt before she stood up and left the dining table.

Things had not been going her way lately, but it was obviously the opposite with Mu Siyin. Seeing how arrogant she was really made Mu Xingyu’s blood boil!

Mu Siyin made her way out of the Mu family villa and called a cab. As soon as she got into the car, she immediately dialed Lu Jingchen’s number.

“Yinyin…”

Lu Jingchen had no idea if it was the right time for him to talk to Mu Siyin so casually, so he refrained from saying too much.

However, Mu Siyin asked anxiously, “Did you ask around, Cuz? Did you find anyone?”

Noticing the tone in her voice, Lu Jingchen asked immediately, “What on earth did you tell them earlier on? How can you tell them that things are finalized when there’s no lead yet?”

“I didn’t want to, but you know how observant my dad is. He was worried that I’m defrauding their shares and insisted for me to call you up to confirm it.”

Lu Jingchen let out a helpless sigh. “I’ve just made a phone call earlier. It looks like no one is willing to help Mu Corporation for now. From what I’ve heard, I don’t think that this financial crisis is a coincidence for Mu Corporation.”

Mu Siyin frowned. “Are you saying that someone is doing this on purpose?”

“Yeah, there’s that possibility. Why else won’t anyone help then?”

At that, the frown on her forehead deepened. “If you’re right, then someone is trying to sabotage Mu Corporation.”

“Most probably.”

“Then, did you find out the culprit, Cuz?”

Lu Jingchen shook his head. “Not yet. We really don’t have a choice now, Yinyin. The only way to save Mu Corporation is to ask s.h.i.+ Beiyu for help.”

Mu Siyin’s heart sank when the words weighed on her.

“Okay. Let me think about it.”

Mu Siyin got down the car just once the call ended. As she sat by the parterre on the side of the road, she began to ponder.
