She had thought that he would agree to it, but to her surprise, he asked again, “What more would I get from this investment?”
This placed Mu Siyin in a tough spot since she had nothing but the shares to offer.
“What do you have your mind on?” she said as she looked at him with her googly eyes.
s.h.i.+ Beiyu lifted his hand and patted the seat next to him, indicating for her to sit there.
Mu Siyin blinked before she placed the gla.s.s of water down, walked over, and sat next to him obediently.
He immediately pulled her into a warm embrace.
Uncle Zhong had been peeping from afar. Upon seeing this, his old face wrinkled as he squinted his eyes in disapproval.
“That brat! Can’t he at least wait until the night?”
He then scurried to put on the monocle that was hanging off his neck.
On the other hand, Mu Siyin felt very self-conscious being in s.h.i.+ Beiyu’s arms. After all, they were other people in the living room.
“What is it?” She blushed as she glanced up at him.

“I’m your girlfriend now, aren’t I?” She lowered her gaze in embarra.s.sment.

Her face became red as a tomato as her mind wandered off.
She coughed. “Can’t you ask for something else?”
He looked at her frankly. “I am not interested in anything else.”
It was obvious that he was only interested in her.

Mu Siyin became a bit nervous. “Give me some time.”
